Alone, but not lonely
Summary
The saying ‘the beginning is not the end’ was changed for Harry into ‘the end is a new beginning’. He had been 17 years old, was considered an adult in the wixen world, but now he was no more then a ball of live in his mother’s stomach. He wouldn’t remember his past, at least that is the deal he agreed to. But he also wouldn’t be alone, which was the reason he had agreed to this deal and no other. He wouldn’t be alone when he comes into life, he wouldn’t be alone the night his parents would die, and he wouldn’t be alone during the years at the Dursley’s. He would never be truly alone until the moment his twin sister died. A twin who had been created by the splitting of his 17 year’s old magical core into two equal parts and sending them both back to be born again. And she wouldn’t die for a long time, at least that’s what death had told him. And who better to ensure the time of the living than death themself?
Note
This is a Harry Potter twin story and plays before Hogwarts. It's also just the start as there will be another book, which I'm still working on.I know my chapters tend to be short, this is just for me as I like it that way.P.s. the time-travel-fix-it will be explained much further into the timeline, but is only background story as neither twin has their memories from before. Yet?

A new place

SS

Against all odds, Severus was able to establish a routine.

The child slept on in the living room on the coach. This was not optimal, but Hades wasn’t keen on being locked up, his words, and apparently being close to the exit helped him to sleep. At least he said it did, the times Severus found him reading versus the times he was in a sleep position spoke otherwise. But who was Severus to fault him, after all he himself tended to a more sleep deprived rhythm.

While before the child, Severus tended to eat whenever he walked by the kitchen and had time, and even then mostly only some fruits or a slice bread or tea. With the child he tried his best in keeping to the meal rhythm he had during the school year. This was greatly helped by said child, as he told him on the first day when it was time for breakfast, as well as when lunch or dinner was supposed to be, and because the child needed the food he gave him free rain on the kitchen as long as he cleaned up after himself. And when he realised the next day, that he didn’t have enough proper food, he send the child of with some money (most likely to much) to buy enough food for both of them for a week, with the emphasis on it being mostly healthy, pasta, rice, vegetables, fruits, milk products, eggs, some meat and a few snacks for outside the meals, which Hades could choose himself, but it was not a replacement for a healthy meal.

Hades had made good use of the money, and the charmed bags with expansion charms, featherlight and the most magical charm, according to him, a charm which ensured items in the bag weren’t shaken or being smashed by others. The amazement in his eyes had ensured Severus pointed out the books on different enchantment for bags as well as some household and potion books, which had preservation and temperature regulation charms explained, before the child could asked any questions.

As said before, he was also the reason Severus didn’t forget to be at a meal. He had lost himself in potion brewing after lunch and the child had took it upon himself to cook and collect Severus from the lab. He hadn’t entered the lab. He was a very well behaved boy and had knocked and waited and when Severus had open, mentioned that dinner was ready. Severus had told him to start eating and that he would arrive as soon as he could leave the potion. The child hadn’t started eating. Thank Salazar, Severus knew spells to warm up food without the consistence changing. After that it was clear that Hades wouldn’t eat without him, as such Severus put up an alarm for the times. Severus wasn’t a good cook and Hades said he liked cooking, and it was so much better here because he actually got to eat it. And wasn’t that a good reason to hide in the potion lab again before he did something unforgivable, like pulling the knowledge where Hades guardians lived out of his head, so he could go there and use his fast knowledge of torturing spells on them.

** A **

The room was acceptable. It had a bed, a chair, a desk, a cupboard and a door. There wasn’t a window, but it would do.

A new room, a new house and a new guardian. Ares wondered how long she would be staying here. The intentions were money. She met a lot of people who did it for the money. They were usually the ones who kept her longer as they didn’t intend to touch her.

With a sigh she sat down on the bed. After ensuring with her magic, that no one would come in unannounced, she focused on her belongings. First, she let her magic soke into every part to feed the runes and spells on them. Then she let her magic feel the whole room. She felt runes being burned into the very fabric of the walls as her magic set up wards. Lastly her belongings soaked up with magic as they were, started to float and glide to the places Ares had decided to put them at. She had made a special room just for moving in and moving out in her mind-palace. Hades started to call it the come and go room, because every time she arrived at a new place the room would change towards it and when she moved out the room would be no more than a wooden doorframe in a stonewall. No door, just stone and n-shaped wood.

Now the room looked like the room she was in now. Every item of clothing in the cupboard, all her books, pens and papers on the desk or in her schoolbag under it. A cloak rag at the door, with her cloat. The bedding was changed as well, but heavily layered in glamours to show it as it was when she came in and not the adult size single bed with flowers and flying butterflies on the cover.

Being happy with the changes, Ares sat down at the desk on wrote a letter to her uncle, aunt and grammies. After the first few letters and her second visit she had started to trust them more and more. Now it was always the first thing she did after moving-in. Writing about where she was now, what she knew about her new guardian and then answering questions in previous letters or asking questions. Ares had bought herself a library trunk, after it became apparent that she couldn’t store all books in her ring. She had made the shrinking rune sequence herself. The ones for easy carrying had already been inlaid. She could have made the whole trunk herself, technically, but she had wanted a floo connection.

The floo is a way of travel in the magical world. It works by throwing floo powder into a fireplace which is connected to the ‘floo network’. It uses the lay lines, the fireplace is connected to the closed one, which if you have one stationary place of living, can be created easily (at least for someone who has read and analysed them as much as her), but moving ones are harder. They work through the creation of something similar as a magnet for lay lines. It pulls the closed line nearer and extends a cord at the same time. Once activated it can be used to travel. You cannot travel everywhere. The connected fireplace no matter if stationary or moving needs to be open and in reach. The reach differed on the magical core of the person traveling. The more magic someone had available the further they could travel. Note that it is the magic available, not the size of the magical core. Though this is also important if you are interested in traveling comfortable. The bigger your core the more turns per second. Sometimes it was better being a squib. Ares still hasn’t managed to floo without spilling her guts, which is why she only flos to work on her floing and only between her library trunk and the apartment trunk of Veronica and Markus.

Happy with the letter Ares called for Scar. Once he had the letter he flashed out in blue flames.
