Peter Pan And Wendy…
Over the last few days many peculiar events had occurred to Lily Evans, but when the Head's doorbell rang she would've expected pretty much anyone else than Peter Pettigrew.
" Oh! Hey Petey! I haven't seen you in ages! How are you doing? Please, come in!" she said, greeting her light brown-haired, yellow Converse and a hundred pins wearing friend.
" Good morning Lils! I'm... Quite good actually! How about you? Are you having the time of your life, living with Prongsie?"
She gave him a dirty look. They both burst out laughing.
" Come on! He's not that bad, I was his roommate for so long, I should know!"
" He has left like a thousand quills all around the place and he still can't find them!"
" True, but he makes terrific cookies! Although I probably have to warn you, I've caught him sleepwalking a couple times!"
" No way! Are you sure he wasn't just pranking you?"
" I really don't think so. Once Sirius and I found him on the rooftop, almost ready to jump! He still won't believe us though! He thought we were lying when we told him!"
" Nooo! Who would've thought!" She giggled. " We really missed you Petey. What's keeping you so busy all the time?"
She noticed he nervously bit his lip. What was going on?
" Yeah, about that... There's actually something I want to talk to you about. Please don't get mad at me!"
" Sure, anything! As long as you're not a Death Eater or something, haha... Wait, that's not it, right?"
Peter looked down shyly and whispered.
" Worse... I have a girlfriend."
" Are you kidding me? That's great! Congratulations! How did you two meet? Wait, who even is she? Do we know her?"
" Um... Yeah, I guess. She's Wendy Lynn."
Lily gasped. As in... The Wendy Lynn? That was like the hottest girl at school, even hotter than Mary. Tall and beautiful with caramel brown skin and long hair dyed purple, plump lips and hazel eyes, always looking put together and smelling like flowers. Most guys were too afraid to ever approach her, she just seemed so mysterious and enigmatic. Just passing by her made you feel intimidated. Now, it's not that she didn't believe Peter would have a chance with Wendy, it was just that he was usually so collected and shy that it made her wonder how he managed to speak to her, let alone ask her out. Peter sighed.
''Yes, I know what you're thinking, with her being so gorgeous and stuff, but I swear to god, she asked me to be her boyfriend!'' Lily blushed.
''No, no! I'm honestly so happy for you Wormtail. And for Wendy too! I've heard that she hasn't had the best experiences with guys so far. Mary told me that her last boyfriend was an asshole, so I'm glad she found you!''
''Thanks Lils, but... Have you seen her ex? He's like six foot five with a six-pack. How am I even supposed to compete with that?''
''Oh, please, Potter is the exact same and I still won't go out with him. Remember, there's a reason she chose you over someone else. Wendy isn't some model agent, she's a girl. I bet she's tired of guys that treat her like garbage and view her as an object. She wants to be seen and loved and cared for and that is where no six foot three guy can compare to you.''
'' Six five. But... You have a point. I guess I've never looked at it that way. Thanks Lily.''
'' Anytime. Don't ever underestimate yourself like that again, or I might have to put on my mean witch hat. '' she giggled. ''But, I still don't see how you having a girlfriend is bad! What's up with that?'' Peter's smile faded again.
''Yes, about that... How much do you exactly know about Wendy Lynn?''
She thought for a moment.
''Well I don't know much about her. She was a Perfect last year, she's in the toad choir... She's in Slytherin, she's on the Quiddich team...''
''Yep, that's it! The Quiddich captain herself actually.'' Peter said, proud of his girlfriend.
''Ok, I don't see how that's bad.''
'' Really Evans, just think! The guys will be furious, James will kill me if he finds out!''
''If I find out what?'' Lily froze and turned around to face James Potter looking at both of them.
''Potter! I thought you had a class!'' she said, visibly nervous.
''I did... But I got bored, so I kinda told Minnie I needed to go to the nurse...What will I kill Wormy If I find out about?''
Peter took a big breath.
''Take a seat mate. You'll need it.''

''WHO? YOU'RE DATING WHO??''
'' I told you'', whispered Peter to her.
''I-I can't be- How did you even pull her?''
''Wow Potter! That's your question?'' she asked.
''Hey!'' Squeaked Peter. ''Lily told me that Wendy likes me for my personality.''
''You can't trust Evans!!! Evans won't go out with me for years now and I have a great personality!''
Lily wanted to ask him if he was sure about that, but she decided not to interfere.
''Oh my god, Sirius will be maaaad!''
''I know, what will I do?''cried Peter.
''Guys, I'm a little lost here. Why is Wormy dating a quiddich player so bad?''
''A quiddich captain, and dear Evans, she's currently our number one opponent! Wormtail, you're sleeping with the enemy! Our match is in less than a week too! Tell me what were you thinking?''
''Potter, I think you're being a little dramatic. I think they're a cute couple! Like... Peter Pan and Wendy!'' Peter smiled at her. James didn't seem to agree.
''Yes, because they're both insane!''
''C'mon James! Petey is your friend! At least you're not that mad, right?''
James's gaze softened (possibly because she called him by his name) and looked down.
''No. Of course I'm not mad. And... Congrats mate.''
''Thank you James.'' They sat in silence for a moment.
''How long has this been going on?'' asked James.
''For about a month.''
''A MONTH?? Before we even got here? Damn you're good at keeping secrets!'' he paused. ''Why did you tell me now?''
Peter sighed. ''Ummm, there's something else I should probably tell you about.''
Oh no.
''Wendy told me that we need to talk. For obvious reasons I can't bring her to the Common Room, nor can I go to hers, so I was thinking...'' he looked at James pleadingly.
''If you could bring her here? I mean... As long as Evans is ok with it I guess... fine!''
Yes! Lily gave Peter a look suggesting she was fine with it. Plus who wouldn't want to have The Wendy Lynn in their living rooms?
''I just hope she doesn't break up with me. She sounded so... off!''
''No! Don't worry, maybe she was just tired! Plus Potter and I will be by your side to support you, right?'' she poked James who mumbled a 'yes'.
'' Thank you guys, but I was actually hoping we would talk privately. Would you mind?''
''Err, no not at all. Potter and I will stay in the kitchen, maybe bake some cookies, right? We won't disturb you, we promise!''

" What are they saying?"
" Shhh! I can't hear them!" Peter and Wendy were in the living room chatting, so naturally she and James were in the kitchen trying to eavesdrop.
" Potter?" She whispered. " Are you really mad?"
" I already told you, no! But do you think she got with him so that she could steal our strategies?"
" What? I really don't think so. She seems nice. Besides who's that genius of a Gryffindoor captain whose secrets she can't crack?"
" And that would be me... Thanks Evans!"
" Ok, I'll take it back."
" Honestly now, Peter is my friend. I don't want him getting his feelings hurt. You don't think she'll break up with him, right?"
" Again, I really don't think so. Shh, they're talking now!" They both stuck their heads to the door, trying to listen. She noticed they were making eye contact and they both blushed, but she quickly looked somewhere else. This wasn't about them.
" Petey, I can't do this anymore." They heard Wendy say and Lily bit her lip.
Nooo...
"It's ok, I knew it! There's someone else, right?" Replied Peter and Lily thought she heard James whisper 'no you idiot!'.
" What? Is this what kind of girl you think I am? No Peter, there's no one else! I'm just sick and tired of having to hide! I don't wanna keep it a secret anymore! My friends are always asking me who I'm seeing and I can't even tell them!"
" Yes because you're embarrassed of me!" Lily looked at James and they both gasped. Oh no he didn't!
" You think I'm embarrassed of you? I thought we had something special, that you didn't care about that stuff! I thought you were different! But you won't go out with me, you won't tell your friends about me... Maybe you're the one who's embarrassed of me Peter!" She cried and stormed out of the room.
" Evans? What just happened?"
" I- Potter I think they..."
" No, no it can't end like this" James stormed out of the kitchen."
" Wait! Wait for me!"
Peter was sitting on the couch, with his head in his hands.
" What are you fucking doing?" Yelled James. " Go after her!"
Peter looked at him. " Didn't you listen to her? It's over. At least I won't have to tell Sirius."
" Screw Sirius! Hey, Petey, hey look at me!" James was now practically screaming and she couldn't help but think... Damn!
He took Peter's head in his hands and forced him to look at him.
" Mate what are you..."
" Do you like this girl?"
" What?"
" I SAID DO YOU LIKE THIS GIRL?"
" YES! YES I DO!"
" DO YOU WANNA BE HER BOYFRIEND?"
" YES!"
" DO YOU WANNA HOLD HER AND KISS HER AND MAKE HER LAUGH?"
" YES YES YES!"
" Then go after her god damnit! Fight for her! Show her you like her!" He paused. " GO!"
Lily couldn't figure out if Peter was terrified or overwhelmed, but whatever Potter did there worked. Peter rushed out the door and they heard him yelling" Wendy! Wendy!"
James collapsed on the couch.
" The idiot! I hope she gives him another chance! Who can blame her?"
Lily could barely speak.
" Potter you... How did you... Wow!"
He looked at her puzzled.
" I'm serious, you should be a motivational speaker or like... A dating coach." He laughed.
" Yes because my dating life is so great, that other people should take my advice. I can't even get a date."
" I'm sure there are plenty of girls that want to date you James." And there it was again. The first name. He looked like he wanted to say something, but she caught him off.
" Wait! Shouldn't we go check on them?"
" You're right!" They ran out of the corridor and there was Peter Pan and Wendy... Kissing. She smiled at James. They did it! Peter saw them and broke the kiss.
''Wendy, these are my friends, Lily and James.'' She smiled.
''Nice to meet you Lily and James! Thank you for bringing him back to me!''
''Excuse me? Thank you for taking him back!'' responded James.
''Hey, I'm still here!'' murmured, but stopped when Wendy pulled him into another kiss. James looked at Lily, indicating that it was maybe time for them to go, and so they did.
''Ah, the good deed of the day!'' he said.
''What was yesterday's?'' she asked. ''Violating my space''
''No, almost saving your life m'lady!'' he breathed in. ''I'm glad they're together. They're a good match. But I still don't wanna witness Sirius' reaction, right?''
Lily nodded. Neither did she.

Remus Lupin smirked. His boyfriend was indeed hotter when he was angry.
''You little traitor! I can't believe you!''
''But Sirius, I love her!''
''How dare you! I love peanuts! I still don't eat them in front of you, because you're allergic!''
'' You're not allergic to Wendy!''
'' I'm allergic to her game! And fine, screw me! Did you think about James? He's the fucking team captain!''
''I spoke to James, he doesn't care! Actually for your information it was him and Lily that helped us get back together!''
''So he's a traitor too... Wait. Did you say Lily? James and Lily together helped you?''
''Um, yes? But Sirius, I...''
''I don't care! You can go now''
''What? Really''
''Yes, leave! Go to the love of your life and let me talk to mine!'' he turned to Remus.
''So, we're good, or...''
''Yes, yes!'' he waved Wormy goodbye.
''Can you believe it? The universe is really shipping Jily!''
''What can I say babe?
Maybe they're the real matchmakers here"
