You and ShadowMan being polar opposites.
A shy moon-themed NetNavi that wasn't meant for fighting (but still fights regardless) in love with a ninja NetNavi that committed countless crimes and is an a**hole at the same time wasn't exactly common when it came to romance between NetNavis. But you still worked as a romantic pair regardless of the irregularity.
Sure, you could handle yourself in a battle against a virus, another NetNavi, etc, with the help of your NetOp, of course. But there were some times where ShadowMan had to step in and save you. Very noble of him, right?
Well, he wasn't exactly nice to you when he first met you; and that was confirmed to be true when you heard him mutter a few things such as "Why do they always tremble whenever I'm near them?" "I bet their operator is as cowardly as they are..." "Do I really have to be their knight in shining armor 24/7?" etc. But for some reason, he found you so... interesting.
But surprise surprise! Those repressed thoughts of his were disproven when he saw you fight for the first time... in front of his own two eyes, of course. The way you fought like a gentle but fast river, like how the moon would shine brightly in the midnight sky made him realize something... he was falling for you.
Eventually, Dusk immediately noticed his NetNavi's change in behavior towards you, and whenever he saw your NetOp, his mind often prompted him to give them a look that screamed: 'Is ShadowMan dating your NetNavi now?". And the fact that he was in a close relationship with said NetOp didn't make things any worse, as they allowed both of you to go on dates, give each other gifts (is that even possible), etc.
But despite all the chaos that came with dating you, he still loves you in the end.
