A talk with the enemy

Narrator pov

She didn’t move. She needed to form a plan, quickly. Making sure no one was hurt in the process. There were 3 other people there beside the two of them. An idea came to her mind.

“Can you please get me the check and a pen please?” She said in a forced smile. The barista didn’t know what to do so she went to grab it. Her eyes were looking everywhere. She handed Hermione the check and pen. Hermione smiled and nodded. She wrote something down on the check. “Get the ministry now, leave and take the other two men behind me.” She wrote and handed her the check. She nodded and went to the back of the bar. She came out a minute later and Hermione watched as she went to the other table and left a note. The two men's eyes grew wide. The one in the blue shirt dropped his month. They looked at Hermione and nodded. They quickly left. So did the barista. She knew the other man was still there.

“That was a smart choice, making them all leave. You stupid Gryffindors and your pride to make sure everyone is safe.” He said in a cold tone. Hermione looked him in the eye and jumped off her chair. She hoped the ministry would get there soon. She was not in the right mindset to fight a death eater. She was about 10 feet straight to him. They were looking each other in the eye. She would need to stoll.

“Are you going to say anything? Or are you muted you stupid mudblood.” He said with pride in his voice. When he said mudblood she got mad. She wanted to punch him in the face but knew she shouldn’t.

“No, I'm not muted. Why are you here? It is awfully stupid for you to confront me like this.” She said.

“You think you're that strong and brave? You're a mudblood. You're useless.”

“Maybe but I did survive the war.”

“You may have survived then but you won’t now.” He laughed. She knew not all the death-eaters were arrested during the end of the war. Hundreds if not thousands of death-eaters that were still hiding. Some are trying to build a new life and some are seeking revenge. The man in front of her wanted revenge.

“I would leave if I were you.” She said in a not so innocent voice.

“I’m not leaving till you're dead.” He said with a smirk on his face.

“Why?”

“Why? Why! You and your friends killed my brother and wife! Your order sent my son to Azkaban and he died there! THEIR DEAD! Lifes for life!” He was mad. From his point of view Hermione knew how it was. They both lost some of the most important people in their lives. But no way in hell she was going to talk to him about how they both lost people important to them.

“So you're here to kill me?” She asked in an annoyed voice. She was done with all these death threats. The war ended and she was still being threatened.

“Actually I just came just to send a message by killing a few wizards but then I saw you and that plan quickly changed.”

“Wow, I feel so honored then.” She said sarcastically. He lifted up his wand. The ministry was too late, she would have to fight.

“Give up now.” She lifted up her wand as well. Tilting it in his direction.

“Never.” She said in a brave voice ready to fight.

“CRUCIO!” He said, yelling in her direction.
