POV Regulus
8:00am
I can’t believe I let Sirius talk me into working with him and James this week, thought Regulus.
“Reggie!” Sirius said loudly.
“What!? You don’t need to yell. I’m right here, Sirius,” replied Regulus.
“Well, I wouldn’t have to if you were listening,” retorted Sirius. “Anyways, so you are helping James and Lily this week”
“Great.” Regulus responded sarcastically. So now I’m stuck working with Potter and Evans, thanks Sirius, Regulus thought to himself.
“So the kids are arriving in just under an hour right?” James said while looking at the schedule.
“Yes! So I was thinking for warm up we should play a game but what game?” Sirius pondered.
“Oooo we should make the groups do like team cheers.” suggested Marlene.
“Marlene you are a genius!” Sirius ran towards Marlene and gave her a giant hug.
“Wait what are the teams and why do we have them?” Dorcas asked the group.
“Well there’s four colour groups, green, yellow, red and blue.” Sirius moved to grab a clear jar and held it up. “The kids in each team can earn tickets if they do something really well or if they cheer on their classmates. When they get the tickets they put them in their colour’s jar.” Sirius puts the jar back down. “And at the end of each day we count the tickets for each colour and whoever has the most tickets gets a prize.”
“That’s pretty simple,” Remus said nonchalantly.

POV James
9:00am
Holy cow there’s a lot of kids here, but then again they’re always is, James thought.
“ WHO’S READY TO DANCE!” Sirius exclaimed.
“WOOOOOO,” the kids cheered.
“Okay welcome everyone to day one of camp! Let us teachers introduce ourselves. My name is James, I’m on the red team and I’m your guys hip hop instructor this.”
“I’m Lily. I’m on the blue team and I’m one of your jazz instructor for this week.” Lily said warmly.
“I’m Sirius, I’m on the red team and I’m your other jazz instructor and I also will be doing an improv class for the intermediate and the seniors later in the week.” Sirius introduced himself enthusiastically.
“ I’m Marlene, I’m on the yellow team and I’ll be one of your contemporary teachers this week.” Marlene introduced herself in a chill manner.
“ I’m Dorcas, I’m on the green team and I’m your other contemporary instructor.”
“ I’m Pandora, I’m on the blue team and I’m an assistant with jazz and Contemporary.” Pandora smiled.
“I’m Mary, I’m on the yellow team and I’m an assistant as well with jazz and contemporary.”
“I’m Regulus, I’m on the green team and I’m an assistant also,” He paused then continued, “with hip-hop and jazz.”
“I’m Barty, I’m on the green team and I’m an assistant with hip-hop and improv.”
“I’m Remus, I’m on the yellow team and I’ll be at the desk in the lobby all day.”
“I’m Evan, I’m on the blue team and I’m an assistant with hip-hop and jazz.”
James took over once the introductions were finished, “Okay know that you know us let’s get into our colour groups so we can make team cheers!
Reds over in the back right corner, blues over near the top left corner, greens over in the back left corner and yellows in the centre.” Okay so we get everyone to introduce themselves and then make a chant. What rhymes with red, James thought to himself. “Guys let’s make a circle so we can all see each other. Okay we should go around in a circle and say our names and your favourite style of dance. I’ll go first my name is James and my favourite style of dance is hiphop. Do you want to go next.” He gestured to a little girl beside him.
A red haired girl responded with, “Sure! My names Eloise and my favourite style of dance is tap.”
—-
“My names is Sirius and my favourite style is tap”
Once the dancers had introduced themselves, James said “Okay guys so I have an idea for our chant, it’s call and response.
So one person goes we are the red team and the rest of us repeats it back. Then that person says do you know what red stands for, then we repeat do you know what red stands for. Then after that we spell out red with positive words, what would be a positive word for R any ideas.”
Eloise raises her hand.
“Yes, Eloise” Sirius said calmly.
“R could stand for radiant.” Eloise said with confidence.
“High-five that’s a great word!” James exclaimed as he held up a hand to high five her. “Okay so now what’s a good word for the letter E?”
A little girl named Charlie raised her hand.
“Yes Charlie.” James said calmly.
“E could be that word for, like, our dances on stage!” Charlie said excitedly.
“Do you mean entertaining?” Sirius asked with a smile on his face.
“Yes that’s the word!” Charlie exclaimed.
“I love it!” Responded James with enthusiasm, “Okay so now we need a word for D.”
“D could stand for dancers” Sirius said while looking around to see if anyone had any other ideas.
“Does that work for everybody?” James asked the group.
The red team had some excited yes responses and a few head nods.
James only saw positive responses, so continued on. “Okay so then at the end I think we should say as loudly as possible GOOOOO RED! what do you guys think”
“Works for me” Sirius agreed.
Again the red team had some excited yeses and some head nods.
“Okay so I think we have ours finished. Now we just have to wait for the others to finish.” James said.
——
“Who would like to go first?” Remus asked the kids
“ Green team should go first because we obviously have the best group cheer!” Barty said jokingly.
—-
“Red team its your turn.”
“Okay guys you remember the cheer right?” James whispered quietly but loud enough for all of red team to hear.
“We are the red team” James lead the group cheer.
“We are the red team” the red team responded.
“Do you know what red stands for?” James yelled.
“Do you know what red stands for?” the team echoed back.
“R,” screamed James.
“Radiant” echoed the red team.
“E”, yelled James.
“Entertaining” responded the team.
“D”, called James.
“Dancers,” cried the red team.
“GOOOOOOO RED!” All of the red team cheered.
“Everyone spread out on the floor and get into windows to do a warm up.” Sirius told the kids. “Okay 25 jumping jacks, go.”
——
“Inters, you guys are in the room behind us, juniors you guys are in the room way over there.” Sirius pointed to the lobby. “Just follow Lily when you guys go. Seniors you guys are in here.”
“Have a great first day everyone!” Remus told the group.
The students quickly dispersed from the warm up room and followed their teachers to their rooms.
