A Harbinger Story: Rise of the Basilisk Queen

After a harrowing incident with the Basilisk from the Chamber of Secrets and a disembodied Voice that advises her to go to Greece, Daphne finds herself in her ancestral home, Ismene. Daphne learns that the she has been Called, a tradition that was once normal in her family, but has become very rare in the last several generations. Daphne desperately wants answers to her questions, about the Voice, the shadow serpent, and the Call. Her only issue is the cruelty of her ancestor and "Grandfather." But Ismene may have other ideas.A Story in the Harbinger Series-Takes place in the summer after Year 2.

Summary: Daphne's cousin, Ariadne, AKA Ria, is worried about Daphne being Called to Ismene. But Tia Evanthe, Daphne's great-grandmother is not worried at all. Ria thinks the old woman has forgotten how cruel Pappous could be.**Ariadne is an OC created specifically for this story and to be Daphne's cousin and mentor. Ismene and other locations/events/characters are inspired by my love of Greek mythology.***J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series and characters were inspiration for this story.
