when Sirius received the letter, of course he didn't expect it to be from his dear mother, and of course he didn't expect the letter to be about how his mother thought he had kidnapped Regulus.

and his mother thought that he had kidnapped him. It was certainly not something he expected to happen on such a random morning. It would be a lie to say that he wasn't a little hopeful. could tell by the fact that he checked the door of the potter's every half hour, half hoping that his brother would show up to ask for help. but after a day of waiting, he being panic. his brother didn't know anything about the world, so pure,  what if he was hurt and stranded somewhere? its not impossible that he had run away after their mother had cursed him.

The potters did their best to calm Sirius down. Monty had even sent a missing letter to the Ministry, which the Blacks had also sent. Effie and James were also doing their best. James tried to convince Sirius that Regulus was safe, it is possible that Regulus ran to one of his friends. it seems to calm Sirius down a bit.

But that didn't seem to last long. On the Hogwarts Express, he start to panic when he saw Rosier and Lovegood together, without Regulus. they were the most likely people Regulus would come to if he ran away.

He should have come to me, not anyone else!

Sirius almost cornered Rosier to get an answer when he was being held back by remus. He turned his head disapprovingly towards Remus and almost cried when he saw Remus' reassuring smile. It seemed that James had told him about Regulus.

Remus then took Sirius and James to Peter, where they assured Sirius that he would be able to meet and talk to his brother at Hogwarts.

Of course, this did not happen when Meadowes cornered Sirius in the Great Hall.

"Where's Regulus?" she hissed.

Sirius blinked his eyes. Meadowes was his brother's friend, shouldn't she know where Regulus is? Or did they not tell her of Regulus' whereabouts?

"Didn't Regulus go to you? or your friend's?" James replied, standing in front of Sirius who was still digesting his thoughts.

"Our place? No. When Wally sent Evan a letter about the Regulus' disappearance, we thought he had gone to your place. Did you stop him from sending a letter to us?" Meadowes narrowed her eyes.

"No, no, he didn't come to us, he didn't come to me," Sirius panicked.

"What the fuck do you mean?"

"He didn't come to us, Meadowes, we assumed he went to one of you, didn't one of your friends say anything?"

Meadowes looks confused, panicked for a moment.

"You will know the consequences if you dare to hide him from us," Meadowes threatened before turning and walking away.

"Meadowes, wait!" shouted Sirius in panic.

Meadowes turned and raised her eyebrows.

"Can you tell me if you have any news of Regulus?" Sirius said hopefully.

"Why would I?"

"I'm worried, of course!"

"Why do you care?"

"W-what? He is my fucking brother!"

"He was your brother," Meadowes corrected cruelly.

Those words were like a ton of stone hitting Sirius' chest. What does that supposed to mean?

Meadowes rolled his eyes at Sirius, who looked like a puppy that had just been beaten.

"Honestly, this is the first time I've seen you care about Regulus, ask anyone, they'll agree. So why don't you just get on with your life with your new brother?" Meadowes glanced at James.

"He's always taken care of his brother," James interrupted, trying to defend his friend.

"Yeah, yeah, anything to help you sleep at night," Meadowes continued, not caring about Sirius, who looked like he was going to cry.

She stopped after a few steps.

"Oh, and don't try to disturb Regulus again, I know where your room is."

Quite a reminder, tease with Regulus and Meadowes will burn down their dormitory, with them in it of course.

Regulus black

The name had been running through James' mind for a week. It had been four days since they arrived at Hogwarts and there had still been no news of his best friend's brother. James couldn't bear to see Sirius so sad all the time. They didn't get any news, even though his father had tried to look for him and sent a message to Dumbledore, as if Regulus had just disappeared into the earth.

Truth be told, James never cared about Regulus. He was just Sirius's brother and a potential Death Eater in the future. But after running away from home, maybe he wasn't as bad as James thought.

James thought back to himself in second year, so exited to meeting Regulus. Sirius' brother. Mini-Sirius. He can have two Sirius in his life, isn't that exciting news?

Unfortunately, his hopes were immediately dashed when Regulus looked at him without emotion and turned away, ignoring his outstretched hand, and left with Narcissa, his cousin.

After Regulus was sorted into Slytherin, the only thing on James' mind was that he had to be there for Sirius, who had just lost his brother.

Sirius doesn't need him, he's got James.

After that, he didn't have any personal opinions about Regulus, other than what Sirius told him.

He was beginning to regret it now, if only he cared more for Regulus, could Regulus and Sirius still be good brothers? Will Regulus go with Sirius when he decides to join the Potter family? maybe he and James could be brothers, he could be Regulus' big brother, that would be a good thing.

James may have mistakenly thought that he could make Sirius forget Regulus if Sirius was with him. James never had a sibling ,until Sirius, so he don't really understand.

So he decided that he would approach Regulus after that, until Regulus felt safe enough with him to move in with Potter.

James Potter was determined and nothing could break his resolve.

"shit!"

Dorcas burst into the Slytherin dorm, throwing herself on Regulus' bed, Regulus, where the fuck is he?

"got anything, dear?" Pandora's soft voice sounded, mixed with a tone of concern.

Dorcas groaned as she buried her head in the pillow.

"Nothing! Black and Potter said Regulus wasn't go to their place! And judging by Black's condition so far, it doesn't look like they're lying," Dorcas grumbled.

"Well, to be honest, I didn't think Reg would want to go to their place anyway," Barty chided.

"Wouldn't it be better if he went to Dora's? He'll be safe there." He continued

"The fact is, he's not with Dora Barty! Reg still loves his idiot brother, thats why we thought maybe he should go there" said Evan.

Barty sneered.

"Isn't it any way that he went abroad? Or maybe went to some remote place to hide?" Evan asked.

Well, he wouldn't just leave without telling any of us something, but who knows.

Pandora sighed.

"No. Kreacher came to my place the night Regulus ran away. He thought Reg might be with me, so he wanted to bring Reg's things. He panicked when he found out that Reg wasn't at my house, because as far as he know, Reg didn't bring anything at that time, thats mean he cant just go somewhere random" Pandora explained.

The others sighed in frustration.

"Where else could he be? He didn't go to any of us, he didn't go to his brother, he didn't go to any of his cousin and he's disappeared without a word!" Evan ruffled his hair.

"and for merlin's sake, none of the tracking spells worked! It should be impossible," Barty added.

Dorcas groaned into the pillow.

"If Black is hiding something, I will make him regret it."

"Nah, for me it will be strangle Reg when we found him! How could he leave without a word?" Baty snapped.

Pandora stared sadly.

"Whatever it is, I hope Reg is all right. My gut feeling is that he is in a safe place now."

That calmed them down, a bit. wathever, they believe in Pandora's premonition.

nobody knows who started it, they were already lying together on Regulus' bed, hugging each other. That's what they usually do, only the figure that's usually in the middle isn't there.

They all hope that their star, anywhere he is,  is save and will return to them soon.
