"Think of a really happy memory, let it sinks in you completely!" she stepped closer to me. "Then flick your wand like this and say the incantation: ExpectoPatronum!"
"Okay, let's see." I nodded. In myself, I recalled my mother's face as she looks at me lovingly.
"Expecto Patronum!"
A little spark popped out from the tip of my wand. I looked at it disappointed.
"That wasn't an enough strong memory... Think of something else that made you truly, wholeheartedly happy!"
I looked at her thoughtfully.
I knew which memory to choose.
"I forgive you for everything!" she smiled at me with her warm, chocolate-brown eyes. I closed my eyes and concentrated on her voice, her gaze, her beautiful smile and her sweet scent... then I said the spell.
"Expecto Patronum!"
I didn't open my eyes, but I felt the magic was happened.
"Draco!"
Hermione exclaimed with wonder in her voice. She seemed excitedly and amazed, when she looked up above our heads, where a huge Hungarian Horntail appeared and it was sparkling in silver light, as he opened his enormous mouth and blew a huge, fiery plume of flame above our heads.
"Wow!" I moaned in shock. "It will drive away maybe hundred dementors, but I can't use it to send messages..." I laughed.
"Sorry, but I would like to watch, when you send someone a lunch invitation with this dragon..." she laughed wholeheartedly.
"Expecto Patronum!" she waved her wand and conjured the little playful and nimble otter, which enthusiastically swooped around its master before flying up to my dragon, which was stretching his wings, then flying around him too and scattered. The dragon blew out one last blast of flame, and then he was reduced to nothingness.
"Thank you for teaching me the patronus charm, Granger! I am grateful, and also because thanks to you, I finally have really happy memories..." I blushed a little.
She looked at me with wide eyes.
"That's why you couldn't summon it until now...?" she whispered with a little regret in her voice.
"Can I ask, what were you thinking?"
I stared at her in silence for a moment, then reached towards the girl to smooth the free curl from her bun back behind her ear.
"I thought about that memory when I won your forgiveness for everything I ever did against you..." I whispered, then looked deeply into her chocolatebrown eyes.
I slowly leaned towards her and I felt her breathing quicken when our lips almost touched.
"Draco, where are you?"
We heared Blaise's voice shouted from the corridor, and a moment later my friend opened the door to the classroom.
"Oh, hi! Did I disturb something?" he grinned.
"As a matter of fact, yes!" I grumbled a little measuredly, but the griffindor interrupted.
"No!" Hermione shouted, then took two steps back from me, blused to ears to ears.
"We just finished practice. Just imagine, Blaise, Draco's patronus is a giant dragon, a Hungarian Horntail, what a coincidence, isn't it?" she chattered as she grabbed up her books and put them in her school bag.
She quickly put it on her shoulder, and then started to walk towards the door.
"I was only looking for Draco because of today's Quidditch practice, I didn't want to disturb you, guys...!" Blaise apologised.
"You said,Quidditch? It's very good, both of you need to practice before the next match, and the fresh air, and exercise is good for your health!" the girl laughed nervously. "Have a good flight then!" she walked out the door, but she said back to me:
"It was a great practice, then we'll meet later! Bye guys!" and then the griffindor disappeared.
"It was a bloody great timing, my mate..." I nervously massaged the bridge of my nose to compose myself.
"Sorry, Draco, if I had known you were finally going to make a move on Granger, I would have come later..." he grinned at me.
"I DIDN'T!" I screamed offended to hide my embarrassment. "I was just carried away by the situation and the atmosphere, that's all..." I hurried towards the door.
"Of course, of course..." my friend laughed, then shook his head and followed me.
