Chapter 3
Nico looked at the books. That was the only logical thing to do.
After finding out that Will would take along on this quest his only thought for the last couple of days was to perfect the preparation for this task. If he gets even one little thing wrong and Will gets ingerst then Nico is to blame for it. After all, he had time and the books were Greek, which meant that his dyslexia was no excuse this time.
But even if Nico loved his boyfriend 3 times more than Aphrodite internet, he was still not an unstoppable robot who could read 20 hours straight. He needed breaks. and just looking and not reading the books was a break in his eyes.
Those breaks were still way too much for nico taste but he had to do them doctors orders.
Right after one of the mandatory breaks the dark haired boy picks up a new book, one he didn’t really look at before.

Nico was confused by this title and started reading it. It was surprisingly not a book that describes how to get unnaturally good at some genadig wonder cure magic for some which it kinda sounds like but a language guide.
The Italien have been interested in language since moving to america. After learning english with his sister Bianca he had gotten a liking for languages.
Greek was one of Nico`s gift languages, as a demigod of the greek paphion next to laitin which he was blessed with in camp jupiter. Other than that he learned a bit of French because his sister's best friend Piper spoke it with her and Nico didn’t want to be left out of his little sister's life.
Tunes out knowing italien and laitin helps if you want to learn French but it doesn't give you the ability to pronounce those seemingly random piles of letters called words.
He definitely is not fluent but he could understand itl even if pronunciation was a whole other story.
The point being that Nico liked languages and some “only gifted with specific genes can learn it” won’t stop Nico from learning all that he could.

After ‘appearing’, which is like shadow traveling only that you don’t have to be related to hades or the underworld to do it, to Londen , Will and Nico find themself in an rather interesting alleyway.
not only where the shops grucket and would give annabeth a stroke if she were to learn of this place but it also was filled with the most lets just say unique shops.
There were of course normal shops like a candy shop that was filled to the brim with little children that seemed to all agree that streaming and crying would help them to get to the chocolate or whatever they desire faster or a bank that was even with an ode shape was rader normal looking.
those shoes were not what made this ally such an unique place but rather the flying broomsticks that seem to bother none. and if this isn't enough for your frugal heart that has never seen such obscurites then the wand shop that just broke a window because a lightning bolt was hitting it from the inside would be.
Even though those were sites that the two demigods good look at forever they had to remember why they were here.
The goddess of magic had given them a list of basic magical things they should get. Wands, a support animal (opcional) and of course books were on this list.
Nico thought it was nonsense to buy books because they already had all but Will remembered his boyfriend that they needed the english version.
which was even more nonsensical because that would only make their lives more difficult.
The original plan was to get the wand first but after seeing a window explode they decided to get their clothes first and visit the wand shop when the unknown menace that shot a part of a magical shop into oblivion left.
