Chapter 2
This was Lucifer's stupidest idea yet. Getting advice from Paimon. He appreciated how loyal the Goetia were to him and everything they did for Hell, however... Paimon's affections for Lucifer was off putting to say the least. Unfortunately, he was the only one who could help him at the moment. Luck seemed to be on his side today, thankfully, as they got straight to business and Paimon actually took it seriously. Instead of trying to be a kiss ass.
"Now then, majesty. Tell me about your latest vision."
Stirring the tea in his cup, Lucifer tried his best to recall it all. "There's so much. It's hard to recall all of it."
"Just do your best, sire."
That had launched them into a conversation that lasted hours. About him losing contact with everyone due to locking himself away. About Adam attacking his daughter and her friends. About... Well maybe Lucifer left a few things out.
"You and Lilith... Get a divorce?"
"That's what you're focusing on?! Paimon out of everything I told, this is what you choose to comment on?! There is literally a future war with Heaven threatening to happen!"
"I apologize! It was just so... Shocking! I mean you and Lilith have always been so close and in love."
"Just give me the advice I came here for."
"Yes. Of course." Clearing his throat, Paimon tried to swallow down what Lucifer could only guess was utter glee at the news of his future divorce.
"While messing with the timeline would be rather risky, I believe you were blessed with this information to protect us. More importantly, protect your daughter. However, it is a burden to you since you're the only one who knows the details to change things. I say go through with it but plan carefully. Also, do not do this on your own. Have trusted people to help you."
Paimon's words echoed in his head since their meeting. Lucifer knew he was right, but how could he go about this without changing too much? Who can help trust to help him with this? It was times like this he missed someone he hasn't even met yet.
In his premonition, Lucifer had saw their enemies to friends to one sided love story. Alastor has grown to be someone very close and dear to him. Someone who never left, drug him out of his depression or hyper fixation episodes. Who treated him like he was just some guy instead of the King of Hell or a fallen Archangel.
Yet there was still a level of respect there once they got closer. He has grown to trust the Sinner so much that he let him weight in on Hell's politics. His view point always opened up Lucifer's mind to new possibilities.
"Why can't I have you here now? And why do you seem so familiar to me?"
Before he could get too lost in those thoughts, Lucifer got out some paper to start writing up his plans. Also, it was time to summon some of the Sins. It was time for Hell to get a complete overhaul.
