Why Wolfstar?
James's heart was thumping as he headed out of his house. He didn't know why he was nervous, actually. It wasn't like they would do anything especially bad, maybe just an earful or two.
He reached the library much too quickly for his liking, and walked in. Sirius and Remus were standing by the librarian's desk, waiting for him. They were both wearing sunglasses so that they wouldn't be recognised easily: James could tell it was Sirius's idea because they were all too famous (at least in Britain) to not be recognised just by wearing glasses.
Remus was leaning against the wall, his arms crossed, while Sirius, ever-moving, was pacing up and down in front of the desk. When they saw him approaching, Remus straightened up and walked towards him while Sirius stopped pacing and just stood there, his arms folded, staring at him.
James tried to lighten the mood. "What's with the glasses?"
"Padfoot," Remus sighed, looking over his shoulder, half-amused, half-exasperated. "You never know what he'll come up with next."
"Are we gonna sit down at a table or something?"
"No, no need for that. Pads, c'mere a moment. And do stop sulking, will you?"
Sirius huffed and trudged over to them. He raised an eyebrow at James and said, "Secret Instagram account, James? Really?"
"Sorry, Pads, mate, I just -"
"Why do you ship us?" Remus asked suddenly.
"I - what?"
"Why do you ship us?" said Remus slowly and clearly.
"You two are cute. And it's about time you confessed to each other, seeing as you keep to yourselves most of the time."
"Rubbish," said Sirius, his ears reddening. "Me and Rem? Impossible."
"Besides," said Remus dryly, "we have a reputation to uphold. Imagine if people started thinking that me and Siri are dating. Imagine what it would do for our image as a boy band. Imagine what it would do for our friendship."
"I'm sorry, guys," James said.
"Just don't post things like that without telling us, okay? I personally loved the edit," Remus said, chuckling and glancing at Sirius. "It really captures how much this bludger means to me."
"Hmm, does it?" Sirius purred, mock-seductive. "Oh, Remus, darling, how thoughtful of you!"
Rolling his eyes, Remus turned back to James. "Explain why our ship name is Wolfstar?"
Sirius replied "Because Remius would have seemed daft" at the same time that James said "Because you're a wolf and Sirius is a star."
Remus chuckled again. "Remius? Really, Padsie?"
"Seems daft, innit?"
Remus lightly punched him. "Shove off, you bludger."
James smiled indulgently at his friends. "How shall I make this up to you?"
"Delete the post," Sirius said. "Rem and I will do damage control."
"Damage control?" James repeated.
"Oh, come on, Prongs, you truly don't think that people have seen it? Considering how famous you are?"
"Right, right," James said, rubbing his neck. "Really sorry about this, mates."
"Mhm," Remus said.
