Foreword

The chilly November weather has been bringing a fair amount of rain to the north of England. That is, knowingly, nothing out of the ordinary, as this part of the country is rather prone to rain and wind.

Godric’s Hollow, a small, english town with its typical brick houses and a handful of local shops, would often lure in passing tourists this time of year, to spend the night, fill up their tanks and enjoy a warm shower, before traveling further south towards London.

It might seem like any other, average little rest-stop town.

But Godric’s Hollow isn’t just that. It isn’t a regular town at all. This particular one hosts many secrets, many tragedies, all of which lead back to its widely known magical history. After all, this is where famous Hogwarts founder Godric Gryffindor had resided with his wife and children. This is where, many years later, Hogwarts’ renounced Headmaster Albus Dumbledore had grown up and where, very recently, the possibly best known boy in all of wizard Britain had survived none other than Lord Voldemort’s killing curse.

Godric’s Hollow has been center stage to what would become the phenomenon of the century. The story that every child would grew up knowing; of Harry Potter, the boy who lived.

The story of how he, as a little boy, barely older than one year, had famously survived the killing curse Voldemort had sent upon him that night in Godric’s Hollow, on Halloween eve. Leaving the Dark Lord himself to be believed dead, whilst young Harry was left with nothing but a lightning bolt shaped scar drawn across his forehead.

The boy who lived, they call him, though scarcely anybody knows of everything that had really occurred that night. There is more to this story than just Harry Potter’s survival or Lord Voldemort’s demise.

But whatever else had conspired that evening in the Potters’ little cottage has never been revealed.

How should people ever know what truly happened? Who truly sold out the Potters‘ to Lord Voldemort and betrayed their trust? If the only people who really knew what had happened have been cruelly murdered that very same same night?

But all is not as definitive as it might have seemed, for whilst all of Britain believes the Potters had died that fateful night, there are a handful of close friends who know the truth; whatever Lord Voldemort did to Lily and James Potter, they weren’t found dead at all, but with their heart still beating faintly. Stuck in a magical coma, with only time to tell if they would ever get to wake up again.
