The Eye of the World

“You are the Dragon Reborn.” Machin Shin whispered in her ear as she screamed again. ‘No!’ She shouted in her head as she then heard another scream and a blinding light. She looked up to see Nynaeve shielding them from the Black Wind. Alessia stood up and looked at Moiraine who was weaving and watching at the same time.
“It’s open. Hurry!” Moiraine shouted. Seeing everyone get up at once and run towards the gate that was now opened. Alessia jumped through and hit the ground. She rolled a little before sitting up. Her head in her hands while feeling the tears before wiping them away. Hearing nothing but the gate then closing. Moiraine was now catching her breath. Looking at each of them. Her eyes caught Moiraine’s.
“Very good. All of you.” Moiraine then spoke.
“What if Machin Shin was right?” Perrin asked.
“Whatever it said, put it out of your mind.” Moiraine spoke.
“You didn’t answer.” Perrin added as she moved closer to Moiraine only for Lan to come between the two.
“It speaks to the dark parts of you. It feeds your deep fears.” Moiraine spoke. ‘So, it was true then?’ Alessia asked herself before looking at her friends. They were in a desert. A city was up ahead of them.
“Where are we?” Rand then asked.
“Fal Dara. The last defense against the Blight.” Moiraine spoke.
“The what?” Alessia asked.
“The Blight is an infection from the Dark One. Slowly spreading across the land here.” Moiraine answered as she nodded to show she understood. The sun’s heat was beating on them. Alessia felt hot in the long sleeves she was wearing. Wondering why on earth she was wearing this tunic. Then again, she did not know Moiraine was going to bring them here.
“Fal Dara. The last bastion against the blight.” Loial spoke as he took the lead with Lan. Alessia was near the back with Egwene. She could see the conflict in Egwene’s eyes.
“You alright?” Alessia asked as Egwene shook her head. It seemed something had happened between her and Rand. She gently touched her friend’s shoulder. Brown eyes met blue as Egwene sighed. Looking down but still following. Alessia took the silence as an answer as she was not alright. Then again, she wasn’t either. She heard the voices in the wind that she heard in her dreams and in the wind. She still had no idea what it even meant. Her feet were slowly dragging in the sand as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.
“Do not worry. Rest is close at hand. We have friends in these lands.” Moiraine then spoke as she stopped. Alessia looked up and saw that there was an entrance. They had gotten closer to the city. She wondered how they survive in such conditions here. Looking around, there seemed to be no water of any kind. ‘Maybe through trades?’ She asked herself before following the blue ajah again. It seemed Moiraine was herding them like sheep. Making them go where she wanted. Feeling the cool wind hit her face as she sighed a little. Licking her lips as they were now dry and chapped. The dry heat was starting to get to them by the time they made it to the entrance. Looking up as the sun was now starting the evening. Hoping that it would cool off soon.
“Moiraine Sedai. Right this way.” A guard spoke as they were being led to another part of the city. Seeing what seemed to be a palace up head and stairs. ‘Not more stairs.’ Alessia sighed as her legs were already weak from the heat. Hearing a groan from a couple of her friends as she nodded in agreement. They were tired.
“We have rooms available but might have to share.” A woman in white had walked up to them.
“Lady Amalisa.” Moiraine spoke. Seeing a woman holding her hands together. Alessia noticed a ring on the woman’s finger. It was like Moiraine’s but no stone inside of it. Wondering why that was.
“Come. They are waiting.” Amalisa spoke as she turned and headed down another hallway.

“Why do you think we are here?” Perrin asked in a whisper. They were standing in the back of the throne room.
“You know why.” Alessia spoke as they looked at her. “To find out which one of us it is.” Alessia added.
“I am surprised you came.” A man’s voice came as they looked up.
“What do you mean?” Moiraine asked.
“I have written to the Tower about the growth of the Blight.” Amalisa spoke.
“I have told my sister several times that we can handle our own.” The man spoke.
“I am not here on the behalf of the Tower. I am here for another task.” Moiraine spoke.
“Very well. I will not be in your way. Please dear sister. Show them their rooms.” The man added. The woman in white nodded her head as she took her leave. They followed her.
“The guys can share these two rooms. The ladies here across. Though, we can fit two per room.” Amalisa spoke.
“That is fine. Egwene and Nynaeve can share. Alessia and I can share.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia gave Moiraine a look. She had no idea what this woman was up to. “Get settled. There is someone I want to meet and you need to come.” Moiraine spoke. Seeing everyone take their leave.
“I want to freshen up.” Egwene’s voice carried through the hallway. Alessia followed Moiraine into the room as well. She grabbed a change of clothes. A top with shorter sleeves as she looked around. Moiraine was standing in the window.
“Who is it that you want to meet?” Alessia asked.
“Someone I have known since she was a child.” Moiraine answered. Well, it was only half of the answer she wanted. Alessia quickly changed and sat down in a chair. Looking around again now that she could see clearly. The room was brightly lit from the sun outside since the curtains were drawn back. The bed was large enough for three people. She walked over and sat on the bed. Feeling how soft it was. The blankets had the sigil of a black bird on it. As did the banners all over the palace. She then shifted and laid down.
“Tired?” Moiraine asked.
“You have no idea.” Alessia spoke.
“Are you having dreams again?” Moiraine asked. Alessia nodded. Seeing the woman in blue walk over to her and sit next to her. “Tell me about them.” Moiraine spoke. It wasn’t a question.
“Just the same one.” Alessia spoke. Moiraine nodded and stood up. Grabbing her cloak.
“Come. Time to go.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia stood up as well. Pulling the red cloak from her bag and placed it around her shoulder.s
“Where did you get that?” Moiraine asked.
“From Liandrin Sedai. She burned my other one since it did not fit.” Alessia spoke. She only received a look from Moiraine before she followed the blue ajah out of the room.

Seeing the others were already waiting for Moiraine as the blue ajah kept her pace. Everyone followed in silence while they made their way down the hallways. Eyes kept finding each other's eyes; they looked at each other instead of talking. Alessia felt her shoulder bumped as she looked over and saw Egwene looking at her before linking arms. Nynaeve was in Egwene’s other arms. Feeling the sun’s heat again as it was soon setting. Moiraine had led them outside where the cityfolk were rushing about the place. Trying to get everything taken care of before the nightfall. Hearing a whistle, Alessia let go of her friend’s arm and stopped by Perrin. There was a man in dark clothes that walked past them.
“You saw that?” Perrin asked Alessia who nodded her head.
“What is it?” Egwene asked as they all looked.
“I just saw Padan Fain.” Perrin spoke while looking back again.
“The peddler?” Egwene asked as Perrin nodded.
“Perrin. Padan is dead. He died in the Two Rivers during the Trolloc attack.” Nynaeve spoke. Alessia was confused. She had just seen the man as well.
“Maybe the heat is getting to us?” Alessia asked. Perrin shrugged his shoulders. It seemed Moiraine was not stopping. They jogged to catch up to the Aes Sedai. She was moving rather quickly. Seeing a tavern not far as Moiraine entered it. Confused at this, she followed without question. Wondering why Moiraine had brought them there.
“Have a seat. I will be right with you.” A woman at the bar spoke as she was serving drinks to the drunks. Alessia sat between Egwene and Perrin while looking around. Drinks were placed in front of them. Alessia took it and sniffed it. It smelled like a pale drink. Taking a drink and coughed as it was nasty and burned her throat.
“Seems like Alessia does not like ale.” Perrin spoke while chuckling. Alessia set her drink back down while watching him.
“Well, you go on then! If you’re so cocky.” Alessia spoke as she passed the drink towards him. Perrin took it and then coughed.
“I stand corrected. That one is nasty.” Perrin spoke and pushed it back. Alessia laughed at him for this. Patting his back.
“Shush. Who knows what she is saying.” Nynaeve spoke as she was watching Moiraine speak to the woman at the bar.

Moiraine’s POV

She stood in front of the woman at the bar and sighed.
“I just need to know. Anything at all. No matter how small.” Moiraine spoke as the woman poured herself a drink and took it.
“It’s invasive, this is.” The woman spoke. “Do they know what I am?” She asked.
“No. Thanks to the Aes Sedai, or you would be hounded everyday, Min.” Moiraine spoke while not looking away from the younger woman.
“Fine. Who am I looking at?” Min asked as she took another drink.
“The ones sitting behind me. Three women and two men.” Moiraine explained.
“The brooding one is.” Min began.
“They’ve both big and brooding.” Moiraine interrupted.
“The dark haired has yellow eyes. Blood running down his chin. The redhead is holding a baby.” Min spoke.
“Whose baby?” Moiraine asked.
“I don’t know. Looks like any baby.” Min replied.
“And the girls?” Moiraine asked.
“White flame and a gold ring.” Min spoke.
“And the third girl?” Moiraine asked.
“Dancing fire and shadows.” Min spoke.
“What does that mean?” Moiraine asked.
“I do not know. They are all linked. Sparks of Light filling the shadows.” Min spoke. “I can only see parts of it.” Min added.
“Unusual?” Moiraine asked as Min nodded. Seeing the younger woman’s eyes watching her. Studying her. “Well, is any vision stronger than the other?” Moiraine asked.
“Not that I can..” Min stopped. Moiraine was watching her closely now as Min was staring at them. She quickly looked at Moiraine.
“Did you see something for me?” Moiraine asked. “What did you see?”
“Don’t look at me like that.” Min spoke with another drink and sighed. Leaning against the counter.
“I see the Amyrlin Seat. In full regalia and she will be your downfall.” Min spoke. Moiraine was silent at this. Not sure what to take with that information. She sighed and looked at the younger one before turning back. Pulling out a coin purse as she handed Min a few marks.
“For your discretion and silence.” Moiraine spoke. Min sighed and nodded. Taking the marks and placing them in her pocket. She went back to cleaning the mugs. Moiraine turned around and walked up to the young ones again.
“Come. We have much to discuss.” Moiraine spoke before she nodded at Lan who followed.

End of POV

Alessia decided to not finish her ale since she could not handle it. Pushing the mug from her as she looked up in time to see Min starting at her. Studying her before looking at Moiraine to speak. She raised a brow at this. Not being able to hear what they were saying. It seemed Moiraine was done as she walked up to them.
“Come. We have much to discuss.” Moiraine spoke. Seeing everyone get up to leave. Alessia stayed. She kept her eyes on Min before walking up to her.
“Here. For the drinks. Thank you.” Alessia spoke as she turned around to leave.
“Be Careful Dreamer.” Min spoke. Alessia stopped and turned back around.
“What do you know?” Alessia asked. She took a seat at the bar. She would have to catch up.
“So it is true. The vision was brighter when I looked at you.” Min spoke.
“You’re a seer?” Alessia asked in a whisper. Min nodded.
“Name’s Min.” Min spoke.
“I’m Alessia.” Alessia replied.
“I know. I saw you coming.” Min spoke. Alessia raised a brow at her.
“What is a Dreamer?” Alessia asked.
“I cannot tell you. You aren’t supposed to know yet.” Min spoke. Alessia sighed and nodded. Moving from the stool
“Very well then. I will find out. One way or another.” She spoke. Min set the mugs down and sighed.
“Look, I cannot tell you. All I can say is be safe.” Min spoke. Alessia nodded and grabbed her cloak before taking her leave.

The words echoed in her mind over and over again. Not knowing what she meant or anything about the world she was thrown in. She was sitting on the couch between Perrin and Nynaeve this time. Moiraine was standing by the fire. Lan was next to her with his hand on his sword. Alessia kept looking back and forth between the two of them. Waiting for answers now.
“Who was she?” Rand asked. Moiraine turned around and looked at her.
“She is someone I had known since she was a little girl.” Moiraine spoke.
“Stop lying.” Nynaeve spoke as she stood up.
“You forget girl, I cannot lie.” Moiraine reminded her. “No matter how much I wish that I could.” Moiraine spoke.
“Who is she really?” Alessia asked. She already knew the answer to this.
“She sees what we call a glimpse of the future. I hoped she would tell me which one of you is the Dragon.” Moiraine spoke lightly. “So that I could save the rest.” Moiranie added. Alessia’s head snapped up at this. ‘What does she mean?’ She thought.
“What do you mean?” Alessia asked.
“Whoever goes to the Eye of the World to face the Dark One and is not the Dragon will die. Grinded to dust by two forces of nature.” Moiraine explained. Alessia frowned at this.
“Well, which one of us is it?” Rand then asked.
“She doesn’t know.” Perrin answered for him.
“We leave in the morning. I will take all of you with me.” Moiraine spoke. “Knowing four of you will not return.” Moiraine added softly.
“How can you be sure that Mat isn’t the dragon?” Perrin asked. “That we survive and you are wrong?” He added.
“Using doubt as a crutch is an easy way to fall to the Dark.” Moiraine spoke.
“How do you know?” Egwene then asked.
“Look, I didn’t ask for this path but I will follow it because I must. Because I know what is right.” Moiraine spoke while looking at all of them.
“You’ve made your choice. Now let us make ours.” Nyaneve spoke while glaring at Moiraine. Those two did not like each other one bit.
Watching the blue ajah take her leave from the room now as Lan had followed her. Alessia slumped back down and covered her face with her hands. She did not want anyone to die. Not if there was by any chance that Machin Shin was right about her. Hearing her friends all talking at once now as Alessia sighed. She stood up and began to slowly pace across the room while listening to them argue about tomorrow.

“Nothing an Aes Sedai says is optional.” Rand spoke as he leaned against a table. Alessia was sitting on the back of the couch now after pacing.
“I do not care what she says. She cannot force all of us to go.” Nynaeve spoke.
“We left the Two Rivers to protect our family. The people we love. You are a Wisdom. If Moiraine was not a part of this, you wouldn’t think twice about going.” Egwene then spoke while looking at Nynaeve. It was deep with what she said. “No matter the cost.” Egwene added.
“So says Moiraine.” Nynaeve spoke while crossing her arms.
“She can’t lie.” Egwene spoke.
“Yeah, that doesn’t mean she can’t mislead or twist her words around.” Perrin spoke. They were all silent at this for a moment before Rand spoke again. All eyes on him.
“You think that she just learned today what will happen at the Eye?” Rand asked. Alessia bit her tongue. She had a feeling that Moiraine already knew.
“Well, I am not doing this because Moiraine said so or convinced she knows exactly what she is talking about.” Egwene added.
“I agree.” Alessia spoke as they looked at her as if she spoke for the first time.
“We have lost too many people already. I cannot lose you guys. Old and new friends.” Rand spoke as he nodded at her. Alessia smiled weakly at this. They then began to argue about Egwene. Perrin and Rand after Nynaeve mentions something. Alessia sighed with frustration at this.
“I’m going to bed. All of you should get some rest.” Alessia spoke. It seemed her words fell on deaf ears as they were still going at it. She sighed and took her leave from the room they were in.

Alessia leaned against the wall by the door. Hearing it open and close as Lan came out. He stopped and looked at her.
“Have they made a decision?” Lan asked.
“Not yet.” Alessia replied. Lan nodded and took his leave. Seeing him enter another room down the hallway. Alessia let herself into the room she was staying in. Seeing Moiraine sitting down while looking out the window. Alessia decided to not change as she took her boots off and sat on the bed.
“Any decisions yet?” Moiraine asked.
“I decided to go.” Alessia spoke. Knowing full well she probably would never see her friends again. She laid down and looked up at the ceiling. Then a flash of red entered her mind. She felt her eyes sting and wiped them before the tears fell. Liandrin had confessed to her and now here she was. Going to the Eye to die. She never got to return the feelings for the red ajah. She wanted to learn everything from that woman. Seeing Moiraine sit down by her on the bed with a scroll in her hand.
“What’s that?” Alessia asked.
“A prophecy about the dragon.” Moiraine spoke.
“May I?” She asked. Moiraine handed her the scroll.
“The Dragon shall be reborn again. To make or break the world. He or she will be a Dreamer as their fate will be tied to three from the shadows.” Alessia spoke before setting the scroll down. “I do not understand.” Alessia spoke.
“It speaks of the Dragon reborn being a dreamer. When I heard about you having the same dream as well, I knew you could be one of the six.” Moiraine spoke.
“One of the six?” Alessia asked.
“Yes. You and the five others in the room.” Moiraine answered.
“I see.” Alessia spoke.
“Get some rest. You will need it.” Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded and turned onto her side. Facing away from Moiraine. Seeing the light go out as Moiraine weaved it out. She was not sure she would be able to get any rest. She was tossing and turning and sighed again.
“Are you not able to sleep?” Moiraine asked in the dark.
“How can I? You are taking us to the Dark One’s prison knowing all but one of us will return.” Alessia spoke. Feeling movement as Moiraine shifted closer to her. Feeling an arm across her waist as she was pulled close to Moiraine. The woman was holding her close. Trying to comfort her. Alessia did not know how to feel about this.
“Try and rest now. Clear your mind of anything.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded and turned away again. Closing her eyes while trying to empty her mind.

Hearing birds singing in the sun as Alessia sat down in the field. Closing her eyes and tilted her head back. Allowing her skin to soak in the sun. The smell of the forest nearby made her want to explore as she stood up and walked towards it. Hearing a river nearby that she could not see. Seeing the sun had gone down quickly as the moon was already high in the night sky. She was confused at this but she knew she was dreaming.
“Be careful Dreamer.” Min’s voice echoed through the wind. She closed her eyes and sighed. Listening to the wind again as it picked up. The whispers grew louder. Then a scream was heard through the woods. Alessia looked around with a panicked look before running. Not sure where she was going but she had to get out of that area. Wondering who or what it was. Feeling the ground shake from something large. Hearing a roar as something made contact against her back. She felt the ground under her as she stayed for a moment. Then there was nothing but silence.

Gasping as she sat up and looked around the area she was in.
“Alessia….” A woman’s voice echoed around the woods. It was a woman sounding almost childlike in a playful tone. There was a wanting in the tone. Yearning. Alessia stood up and started to run. Running from the voice.
“Alessia…” The voice called again. Hearing a whip in the air as she tripped and screamed. Falling down to the ground as she felt her nose as it was bleeding. “Come out. I want to see you.” The voice spoke again. Alessia felt her breath was short from running in the darkened woods. The moon was the only light shining as she leaned against a tree. Trying to catch her breath
“Who are you?” Alessia shouted into the dark.
“Someone you are meant to release.” The voice called out. Feeling something snake around her feet. She looked down in time to see a weave pulling her. Feeling her body hit the ground and dragged across the ground. Screaming and clawing at the ground. Trying to hold onto something that would keep her from moving.
“You cannot run from me.” The voice spoke. She stopped moving and was thrashing about to grab something. Anything. Feeling more vine-like weaves wrapping all around her. She grunted and looked up. Seeing a shadow slowly walk up to her humming.
“Who are you?!” She demanded. There was only silence. Then another shadow came. It was taller. Alessia tried to sit up but she couldn’t. Struggling as she grunted.
“I like her.” The shorter one spoke. She kept her tongue while still struggling. Hearing footsteps surrounding her now as she was looking around.
“Blood calls blood.” A male’s voice spoke as Alessia saw the third shadow appear. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths. Feeling the wind swirling loudly all around her as she then opened her eyes.

Alessia rubbed her head and sat up. Looking around the room. Moiraine was standing by the window before turning to look at her.
“Is there any chance that Machin Shin was right?” Alessia asked.
“It feeds on your fears. Why do you ask?” Moiraine asked. Alessia frowned and looked down as she moved her legs off the bed while sitting up. Hearing footsteps quickly moved as Moiraine was now standing in front of her. “I ask you again. Why do you ask?” Moiraine asked again. Alessia looked up. Her dark blue eyes met Moiraine’s.
“Because I’m the Dragon.” Alessia spoke softly. Moiraine’s eyes went wide at this.
“Machin Shin told you?” Moiraine asked. Alessia nodded her head. There was a knock on the door. “Get dressed.” Moiraine told Alessia who looked at herself before putting her boots on. Seeing Rand at the door as well.
“What is it?” Moiraine asked.
“I think I am the Dragon.” Rand spoke. Moiriane looked at Alessia before coming back to Rand.
“You both cannot be the Dragon.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia stood up and walked over to open the door more. “How do you know?” Moiraine asked Rand.
“Machin Shin told me that I will descend into madness.” Rand spoke.
“I will take both of you then. Leave the others.” Moiraine spoke as Lan walked up to them. He was fixing his belt. Alessia raised a brow at him before grabbing her cloak.
“Go back to her. Keep an eye on her.” Moiraine spoke to Lan who nodded and walked off. “Come. Both of you.” Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded. Rand did as well. They followed the woman in blue out of the palace. It was still night outside as they were making their way to the edge. Moiraine then stopped. Closing her eyes as she was focused. Alessia was curious about what she was doing.
“Where are we going?” Rand asked.
“To the Eye. I’ve told you this.” Moiraine answered.

Rand had his sword as Moiraine handed Alessia a dagger. She nodded her thanks as they were walking towards what seemed to be a twisted forest. Not trees but massive vines overgrown and twisting around each other. There were no pathways as Moiraine stopped and turned to them both.
“Touch nothing. Everything is rotten. Eat only what you have brought.” Moiriane instructed as Alessia nodded her head. The blue ajah had turned back around and began walking towards the rotten forest. Alessia and Rand both looked at each other before heading in after Moiraine. Hearing the creaking of the forest as Alessia stopped. Seeing a vine move slowly away from her.
“It’s alive.” Alessia spoke softly.
“Alive and rotten. The Dark One’s doing.” Moiraine spoke from ahead of them. She could feel the darkness all around her as she moved quicker. Walking side by side with Moiraine.
“Are you alright?” Moiraine asked as Alessia shook her head at this.
“It’s heavy here.” Alessia whispered.
“Yes, the darkness lingers all around us right now. Keep your head steady.” Moiraine spoke. They both nodded as Rand sighed.
“What is it?” Alessia asked as Rand stopped walking.
“Can we take a break?” Rand asked.
“Yes. This clearing seems safe enough. Get some rest. We will leave again soon.” Moiraine spoke as she was looking up to the sky as the sun was setting. Seeing Rand sit down and laid down. He was passed out rather quickly. Alessia sat down as well but she could not sleep. Her eyes were on her friend. Feeling a presence next to her as Moiraine sat down as well. Feeling her hand taken and squeezed.
“You had another dream last night. Want to tell me about it?” Moiraine asked.
“It was darkness. I was in a field at first. I heard my name called in the wind. It was a scream. I left and ran into a forest. The time had changed instantly. It was no longer morning but midnight. He spoke to me.” Alessia frowned. Feeling her hand squeezed.
“What did he say?” Moiraine asked.
“Blood calls Blood.” Alessia spoke. Moiraine was silent at this. She couldn’t read the woman’s face but she knew she was in thought. “Does it mean anything?” Alessia asked.
“I do not know. I can do some research about it.” Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head at this. Hearing some grunting as Rand was talking in his sleep.
“Looks like another nightmare.” Moiraine spoke lightly.
“Why did you send Lan away?” Alessia asked.
“I did not want him following me here.” Moiraine spoke. “I have left him there so he can take the others to the Tower.” Moiraine spoke.
“Right. I know they will become strong and wonderful Aes Sedai.” Alessia spoke softly.
“And you will be as well.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia looked at her and frowned.
“When we go to the Eye, either Rand or myself will die.” Alessia spoke. Feeling her hand let go as Moiraine cupped her cheek.
“Not if you are the Dragon. You will be taken back to the Tower where you will be safe there.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia sighed.
“And if I am not?” She asked.
“Then you die. I do not want you to die. I meant what I said. I want to take you under.” Moiraine spoke.
“You said I act like a child.” Alessia scoffed a little.
“Yes, I did.You were so naive when we first met. You have grown and learned. You will continue learning.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia was silent at this before sighing. Looking down but the hand against her cheek as she was forced to look at Moiraine again.
“If Rand is the Dragon and you are still here, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. Along with Rand.” Moiraine spoke. Moiraine was leaning in closer to Alessia. Feeling her heart against her chest as she frowned a little. It seemed Moiraine was showing a side she had never seen before. The closeness of the blue ajah made her panic. She pulled back as Moiraine had protested in her eyes.
“I’m sorry. I am not ready yet.” Alessia whispered while looking back to Rand.
“I’ll wait.” Moiraine whispered into her ear. Pushing a hair strand behind her ear as Rand yelled and jumped up.
“What is it?” Moiraine asked as she also jumped up. Walking up to Rand.
“Nightmare.” Rand answered.
“The Dark One. He said I shouldn’t be here. The closer I get, the more I will ascend into madness.” Rand spoke.
“So, you can channel.” Alessia spoke as Rand nodded.
“Come.” Moiraine spoke. Alessia stood up and then heard a roar in the night. A horn was sounded.
“Trollocs!” Alessia gasped.
“They are headed to the city! Hurry!” Moiraine spoke as she began to run as they followed.

They had reached the center of the Blight. Alessia gasped at the sight. They stood by what seemed to be a massive ruin from a building so long ago. She looked around as the stairs were only the thing that was still intact. She looked around as she was taking in the sight. She had never seen something so massive and wonderful that was destroyed so long ago. There she saw a pool glowing a little. She followed Moiraine down the steps carefully. When they came closer, the pool was inside a hill. It seemed well hidden if Moiraine did not know where exactly it was.
“The Eye.” Alessia spoke as she gasped lightly. Closing her eyes as she could feel the power coming from it.
“They say any normal woman who can touch the power cannot touch the Eye.” Moiraine spoke.
“I am not a woman.” Rand spoke as she walked up. Hearing a soft movement behind them, Alessia’s eyes opened and saw something larger than them move.
“Let me do the talking.” Moiraine spoke.
“Who goes there?” A low deep voice that had a growling sound came. Alessia saw something larger than them come into the moonlight.
“I am Moiraine Sedai of the Aes Sedai. I have brought the Dragon.” Moiraine spoke.
“The Dragon? Here? This is the Dark One’s prison!” The male voice shouted and hit the ground next to them. Feeling the ground shake as Alessia stumbled a little. Regaining her balance. “Why?!” It shouted.
“This is a Nym. Known as the Green Man.” Moiraine explained.
“The last of his kind.” Alessia spoke softly. She walked up to the Green Man and reached her hand up.
“A kind hearted soul that is tied to the Darkness.” The man spoke in equal kindness but quietly that only Alessia had heard this. She gently touched it. Gasping softly as the man then calmed down. Moving down to their level. “Go on Aes Sedai. Do what you came here to do.” The Green Man spoke. He moved back into the shadows as Alessia was still reaching up. Her hand had fallen slowly. Looking at Moiraine.
“This way.” Moiraine spoke as she and Rand followed her to an area nearby. Seeing a large seal with many smaller ones circling it. She could feel the energy coming from it as well. Two of the smaller ones had caught her attention.

“Release us….” The voices echoed.
“What do we do?” Rand asked.“Stand there.” Moiraine pointed and handed him a small object. “Channel into this. Much as you can. As hard as you can.” Moiraine spoke.
“What is that?” Rand asked as he took it.“It’s a sa’angreal. It will increase your power a hundred fold.” Moiraine added as Alessia stood back. Rand then began to channel. Or she thought. Rand was concentrating with his eyes closed.
“What do we do?” Alessia asked.“We wait.” Moiraine spoke. Then Rand raised his arm.
“You were a fool to bring them here.” A voice spoke as Alessia gasped. A man came to stand in front of Rand from the shadows. “A mere male channeler cannot defeat me.” The man spoke.
“Who are you?” Alessia asked as the man’s eyes turned to face her.
“It is good to see you again. Dragon.” He spoke with a smile at her. Alessia frowned.
“That would mean, Rand!” Moiraine spoke as she grabbed Rand’s arm but the power had thrown her backwards. Alessia gasped and ran over, standing in front of Moiraine as she began to weave.
“No. We do not fight here, old friend. You are weak now.” The man spoke. He flicked his wrist as Alessia reacted. Channeling air as she caused a small explosion. Though, the man’s weave hit Moiraine who gasped and groaned. Seeing something happen to her but could not see the weaves. Rand was now on the ground as Moiraine crawled over to him.
“What have you done?!” Alessia shouted at the man. Only, he did not respond. He slowly disappeared into dust drifting into the wind. Alessia looked down and saw the seal was shattered.
“I’m not the dragon.” Rand’s voice came.
“Rand!” Alessia shouted. Quickly moving over to him to channel. Feeling the flow of his blood to make sure he was alright before sighing. “I’m alright.” Rand spoke and sat up. “Who was that?” Rand then asked.
“Ishamael. The Dark One’s most powerful lieutenant.” Moiraine answered. “You must leave Rand. They will find you.” Moiraine added.
“Tell them I died.” Rand spoke. “I’ll take the blame of the dragon so they don’t hunt you down, Alessia.” Rand added.
“No! You cannot do that. They will kill you.” Alessia spoke.
“You go to the Tower. Get stronger. When the time comes. I will be by your side to fight the Dark One.” Rand spoke. Alessia frowned at this as Rand stood up and quickly left.
“Where will you go?” Moiraine called out. There was no answer. Hearing footsteps, Lan had found them. Moiraine was grunting again.
“What happened, Moiraine?” Lan had asked. Moiraine only looked at him. Holding a piece of white stone and handing it to him.
“This was not the Last Battle. It was the first. We need to take our dragon to the Tower.” Moiraine spoke while looking at Alessia as did Lan.
