Introduction
On a quiet London street, a row of identical townhouses stood tall and bright, defying the city's ever-present gloom. Yet, two particular houses managed to outshine the rest. Bathed in what little sunlight pierced the clouds, one house featured a green door nestled in the worn brick. Its entrance was cluttered with wilting plants and a decaying doormat that once bore a single, faded star. Next door, a similar scene unfolded—but with subtle differences. A cracked flowerpot was the only blemish, and the door, painted in a bold red, seemed to radiate warmth, pushing back the chill that hung in the air. The two houses were identical in structure, yet somehow worlds apart. And as it happened, the boys who lived inside them shared the same fate—alike in so many ways, yet utterly, inexplicably different.
