Damn Right

2025

Lisa had just finished another round of ALTER EGO promotions when her phone blew up. Notifications flooded in—Twitter, Instagram, every social media app buzzing with one thing:

"Jennie Ruby Jane Kim just redefined sexy in LA."

Lisa clicked on a tweet. And regretted it immediately.

Or maybe she didn’t.

The video loaded, and there Jennie was, center stage, wearing nothing but a tiny black bra, a dangerously low-waisted skirt, and that damn high-waisted thong peeking out like a personal attack.

Lisa’s stomach dropped. Her brain short-circuited. Her thighs clenched.

The beat of Damn Right pulsed through her phone, deep and sultry, matching Jennie’s movements perfectly. The way she rolled her hips, how her hands ran up her body, fingers grazing her exposed stomach—it was illegal. It had to be.

Jennie tilted her head back, letting her dark hair fall, smirking like she knew exactly what she was doing. Because she did.

Lisa swallowed hard, heat pooling low in her stomach. She was in trouble.

She sent a message.

L: Babe?!!?(attached twitter photo of Jennie)

After less than a minute her phone buzzed. Jennie.

J: Hey hon, you okay?

Lisa stared at the screen, brain still loading.

L: What the fuck was that?

J: A performance.

L: That was a crime. I almost passed out.

J: Mmm, wish you were here. I could’ve danced on you instead.

Lisa’s breath hitched. Her fingers gripped the phone tighter.

L: You’re playing dirty.

J: You love it.

Lisa groaned, running a hand through her hair. She did love it. Too much.

L: I’m flying out.

J: Aren’t you still promoting?

L: Fuck promotions. My girlfriend is a menace, and I need to do something about it.

A pause.

J: Damn right you do.

Lisa bit her lip. Her body was already on fire, and Jennie was thousands of miles away. But soon, she wouldn’t be.

And Lisa was going to wreck her.

The second Lisa’s plane touched down in LA, she didn’t even think about stopping at her own house. She went straight to Jennie’s.

She punched in the security code with muscle memory, the door unlocking with a soft beep. Stepping inside, she barely took a breath before shutting the door behind her, kicking off her sneakers, and shrugging off her jacket.

Jennie’s house was quiet, save for the faint hum of music coming from upstairs. The scent of her familiar perfume lingered in the air—sweet, warm, completely Jennie. Lisa’s heartbeat was already unsteady, anticipation thrumming through her veins as she climbed the stairs.

She knew exactly where Jennie would be.

And there she was.

Standing by the floor-to-ceiling windows of her bedroom, still in that outfit—a silky robe barely clinging to her shoulders, exposing the tiny black bra, the way her high-waisted thong peeked out over her hips, and those endless legs beneath that dangerously low-waisted skirt.

Lisa’s stomach tightened.

Jennie turned, her lips curling in a slow smirk. "That was fast."

Lisa didn’t answer. She just moved.

Crossing the room in three strides, she grabbed Jennie’s waist, pushing her gently but firmly against the window. Her hands roamed lower, gripping the fabric of that ridiculous skirt, her fingers ghosting over soft, exposed skin.

Jennie exhaled a shaky breath, her hands finding Lisa’s shoulders. "You didn’t even text."

Lisa leaned in, brushing her lips over Jennie’s jaw, her voice low and rough. "You already knew I was coming."

Jennie’s nails pressed into Lisa’s back, her body melting against her, but her voice stayed teasing. "And if I didn’t want you to?"

Lisa smirked, running her hands up Jennie’s sides, feeling the way she shivered under her touch. "Liar."

Jennie let out a soft gasp when Lisa kissed the sensitive spot just beneath her ear. "You missed me."

Lisa pressed her thigh between Jennie’s legs, feeling the heat, the tension between them coiling tighter. "You tortured me."

Jennie tilted her head back, letting Lisa’s lips trail down her neck. "Did I?"

Lisa growled low in her throat, flipping them around so Jennie’s back hit the mattress. "Yes and you better take responsibility."

Jennie grinned, tugging Lisa down, their lips crashing together—hot, breathless, desperate.

Lisa was home. And she wasn’t stopping now. She didn't waste time.

The second Jennie’s back hit the bed, Lisa was on top of her, pinning her down with a knee between her legs, hands gripping her wrists. Jennie looked up at her, lips swollen from their kiss, dark eyes gleaming with mischief.

Lisa was already burning.

"You enjoy torturing me, don’t you?" Lisa murmured, leaning in, her lips barely grazing Jennie’s.

Jennie smirked, arching her back slightly, pressing their bodies together. "You make it too easy, baby."

Lisa exhaled sharply, dragging her lips down Jennie’s jaw, tracing the curve of her neck with her tongue. She felt Jennie shiver beneath her, the teasing façade slipping just slightly.

"You have no idea how badly I wanted to be there," Lisa continued, her hands sliding down Jennie’s sides, fingers grazing the bare skin just above her thong. "Watching you dance like that… in this outfit…"

Jennie gasped when Lisa tugged at the silk robe, pushing it off her shoulders completely. Lisa sat back for a second, drinking her in—the tiny black bra barely containing her, the low-waisted skirt hanging off her hips like an afterthought, the thin straps of her thong peeking out in a way that should be illegal.

Lisa groaned, shaking her head. "You’re unreal."

Jennie giggled, but it turned into a breathless sigh when Lisa’s hands slid down her thighs, gripping them just enough to make her squirm. "And you’re obsessed with me."

Lisa’s fingers tightened. "I am."

Without another word, she leaned down, capturing Jennie’s lips again—slow, deep, intoxicating. Jennie responded instantly, wrapping her legs around Lisa’s waist, pulling her closer, heat pooling between them.

Lisa kissed her way down Jennie’s throat, her hands roaming lower, pushing up the hem of that frustratingly tiny skirt. Jennie moaned softly when Lisa’s fingers brushed over the thin fabric of her thong, teasing, barely touching.

"You’re so unfair," Lisa murmured against her skin.

Jennie’s breath hitched. "Then do something about it."

Lisa grinned, sliding her hand lower. "Oh, baby… I plan to."

And that she did.

Next morning Jennie woke up to warmth.

Lisa’s arm was wrapped around her waist, her face buried against Jennie’s neck, soft breaths tickling her skin. The sheets were barely covering them, evidence of the long, sleepless night they had just spent making up for lost time.

Jennie smiled to herself, fingers lightly tracing the fairy tattoo on that toned upper arm draped over her stomach. She could stay like this forever—wrapped up in Lisa, in the aftermath of whispered moans and tangled limbs, in the scent of her skin still lingering on hers.

But something pressed at the back of her mind.

Lisa had come straight to her last night, desperate and reckless. And though Jennie had been just as eager, there was still something left unspoken between them.

Lisa and Frederic.

Jennie swallowed, hesitating. She hated bringing up the past when their present felt so good, so right. But it had been a month since they got back together, and they had yet to really talk about it.

She turned slightly, enough to look down at Lisa’s sleeping face. "Baby?" she murmured, brushing a few strands of blonde hair away.

Lisa stirred, grumbling something incoherent before tightening her hold on Jennie. "Mm, no. Sleep."

Jennie smiled softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "We should talk."

Lisa groaned dramatically. "We did talk. Last night. With our bodies."

Jennie rolled her eyes, but her heart still fluttered at Lisa’s teasing. "I mean really talk."

Lisa sighed, eyes barely opening. "You wanna ruin a perfectly good morning with serious conversation?"

Jennie bit her lip, hesitating. "I just… I never asked how it went. With him."

Lisa went still.

Jennie felt it immediately—the way Lisa’s body tensed slightly, the way her grip on her waist loosened.

There it was.

Lisa exhaled, shifting onto her back, staring at the ceiling. "It wasn’t easy," she admitted, voice quieter.

Jennie stayed silent, giving her time.

Lisa ran a hand through her hair, sighing. "I didn’t want to hurt him. He didn’t deserve that. But…" She turned her head, eyes meeting Jennie’s. "You are it for me, Jen."

Jennie’s chest tightened.

Lisa reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind Jennie’s ear. "I tried to move on. I really did. But every time I looked at him, I felt like I was lying to myself. To him."

Jennie swallowed, guilt settling in her stomach. "I never wanted you to go through that."

Lisa shook her head. "It was my choice. And I should’ve done it sooner." A pause. Then, a dry chuckle. "He actually told me he knew."

Jennie blinked. "Knew what?"

Lisa smirked slightly. "That it was always you. That even when I wasn’t saying it, even when I was trying to convince myself otherwise… it was always you."

Jennie exhaled slowly, emotions crashing into her all at once. Relief. Guilt. Love.

Lisa studied her face. "Are you okay?"

Jennie let out a shaky laugh. "I should be asking you that."

Lisa smiled, reaching out to pull Jennie on top of her. "I’m more than okay." She kissed her softly, slow and deep, fingers tracing lazy circles on Jennie’s back. "I have you."

Jennie melted into her, lips lingering against Lisa’s before whispering, "And you’ll never lose me again."

Lisa’s grip tightened. "Damn right I won’t."

And this time, there was no hesitation. No running. Just them.

~~

Jennie was supposed to be getting ready for breakfast.

Jisoo and Chaeyoung had planned this morning with her days ago, amidst selarate engagements they have arranged their schedules insisting that a proper celebration was necessary for her Ruby Experience in LA. “A queen like you deserves a royal feast,” Chaeyoung had declared, while Jisoo, never one to pass up meeting other members, had nodded in full agreement even if she had to travel straight from Singapore that yesternight.

So naturally, when they arrived at Jennie’s house, they expected to find her glowing and smug from the success of her show.

What they did not expect was to walk in on Lisa committing a crime.

A loud clink came from the bathroom.

Then a suspicious muffled curse in Thai.

Jisoo and Chaeyoung exchanged a look.

"What the hell is she doing in there?" Jisoo muttered.

Before they could process it, Jennie’s voice rang out, sharp and accusatory—

"ARE YOU STEALING MY SHOWER FILTER?!"

Jisoo’s eyebrows shot up. "What—"

Lisa emerged from the bathroom doorway, looking guilty as hell, clutching Jennie’s shower filter like she had stolen a priceless artifact.

Chaeyoung frowned, utterly confused. "Why is she holding a shower filter?"

Lisa groaned dramatically, throwing herself onto Jennie’s bed. "Technically, I was borrowing it."

Jennie, unimpressed, snatched it from her hand. "Stealing it," she corrected, narrowing her eyes.

Lisa propped herself up on her elbows, pouting. "Baby, I have to travel again, and I don’t have time to get my own. You know our skin is sensitive!"

Jisoo’s eyebrows shot up. "Our skin?"

Chaeyoung’s smirk was immediate. "Oh my god."

Jisoo gasped, eyes lighting up. "OH MY GOD."

Jennie realized Lisa's mistake too late.

"NO—" she started, but—

"THIS IS ABOUT THAT SECRET VACATION, ISN’T IT?!" Jisoo pointed an accusatory finger at them.

Chaeyoung’s jaw dropped. "The one before the pandemic! When you weren’t even together anymore but somehow ended up on a trip together?"

Jennie groaned, burying her face in her hands. "I hate you both."

Lisa, still pouting, muttered, "Look, the water was harsh, okay?"

Jisoo cackled. "You two lied SO HARD, but your skin snitched on you!"

Chaeyoung was wheezing at this point. "And now Lisa’s out here stealing filters? This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen."

Lisa groaned into a pillow. "I just don’t wanna be itchy on tour again!"

Jennie sighed, exasperated but ultimately softening, and held out the filter. "Fine. Take it."

Lisa sat up, eyes lighting up. "Really?"

Jennie rolled her eyes. "Yeah. But next time, just ask."

Lisa grinned and kissed Jennie’s cheek before inspecting the filter in her hands. Then she pouted.

"Yours is better," she mumbled.

Jennie scoffed, folding her arms. "Lisa, it's the same brand!"

Lisa blinked at her, then at the filter, then back at Jennie. "Yeah, but yours… I don’t know. It just feels better."

Jisoo choked on her laughter. "Lisa. It's. The. SAME. FILTER."

Chaeyoung, wiping tears from her eyes, nodded. "This is the dumbest but cutest thing I’ve ever witnessed."

Lisa huffed, tucking the filter into her bag like it was treasure. "I stand by what I said."

Jennie shook her head, lips twitching into a reluctant smile. "You’re such an idiot," she muttered, but the fondness in her voice was unmistakable.

Lisa only grinned. "Yeah, but I’m your idiot."

Jisoo dramatically gagged. "Okay, lovebirds. Can we please go eat now? This was supposed to be a celebration breakfast, not an interrogation."

Chaeyoung smirked, nudging Lisa. "Hey, at least now we know the truth."

Lisa sighed, grabbing Jennie’s hand as they headed out. "I’m never living this down, am I?"

Jennie smirked. "Nope. Not in a hundred years."

Jisoo slung an arm around Chaeyoung as they followed. "Best breakfast ever, and we haven’t even eaten yet."
