The Boy Who Found A Memory

HARRY POV

"HARRY, TIME FOR BREAKFAST," Remus's voice echoed throughout the home. Feeling a bit groggy, I slowly got out of bed, changed into my clothes, and made my way down to the kitchen. As I descended the creaky staircase, my mind wandered to the whirlwind of changes in the past year. The revelation of having a godfather, meeting Sirius, fighting for his trial, and ultimately moving in with both him and Remus. Throughout the summer, we've been meticulously cleaning and revamping 12 Grimmauld Place, breathing new life into the old, dark ancient house of black.

As I step into the kitchen, the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling bacon and eggs fills the air. Remus is standing by the stove, deftly flipping the eggs and arranging the bacon on a platter. He moves gracefully around the kitchen, pausing to sprinkle some herbs on the eggs and give the bacon a final crisping before placing it on the already-set table. "Harry, there you are! I've been wondering where you were," Sirius exclaims from his seat, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Good morning," I mumble to both of them with a hint of exhaustion in my voice.

"Good morning, Harry. I wanted to let you know that I just received a letter from Molly, and it seems like they'll be getting here later to help us out with the cleaning." Remus says

It's great to hear that Ron and his family will be arriving later today. We've been busy getting the mansion ready, and most of the cleaning is done. However, we still need to tackle the attic, so having their help to clear out the upstairs space will be a huge help and we truly appreciate it.

"Last night, Hermione sent me a letter to let me know that she will be coming over to help.

"That's wonderful cub with all the help we are getting we should be finished with the cleaning tonight." Remus tells me

"Ya pup and once we're finished, if it's okay with their parents, perhaps your friends could stick around and hang out, maybe even spend the night." -Sirius

3rd person POV

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, Harry, Sirius, and Remus gathered in the warmly lit living area, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Weasley family. As time passed, they chatted animatedly, Harry's excitement growing with each passing minute. Suddenly, the hearth ignited with a brilliant emerald glow, signaling the long-awaited arrival of the Weasleys. Moments later, Hermione emerged from the fireplace, her face lighting up with joy as she joined their eagerly awaited gathering.

"Hello, Harry and Ron," Hermione said cheerfully as she stepped out of the fireplace, her bushy brown hair slightly disheveled from the journey.

"Hello, Hermione," both Ron and Harry say. "Hello, Hermione," Ron and Harry say in unison as they greet their friend with warm smiles on their faces.

After exchanging warm greetings and introductions, the group of witches and wizards ascended a creaky staircase to reach the dimly lit attic of the ancient and noble House of Black. The air was heavy with anticipation as they entered the space, adorned with mysterious artifacts and ancient tapestries that whispered tales of past generations.

A couple of hours have passed since the arrival of the wizards. As they meticulously went through the attic of the House of Black, they stumbled upon a treasure trove of fascinating artifacts that had long been forgotten. Among the discoveries were exquisite jewelry pieces, intricate tapestries, captivating portraits, and well-preserved articles of clothing. It was as if they had unearthed a hidden museum within the house.

The group made plans to transport these valuable finds to Gringotts, the safest place in the wizarding world, where they would be stored in a vault to ensure their security for generations to come. This was an important step in preserving the history and legacy of these remarkable items, ensuring that they would continue to be appreciated and cherished in the future.

As Harry was tidying up, he stumbled upon a dusty old box tucked away in the corner. To his surprise, the box was filled with small, delicate vials, each holding a shimmering silver mist. Harry's inquisitiveness was piqued as he pondered the mysterious contents of the vials.

HARRY POV

"Hey Sirius," I called out to him.

"What is it, pup?" he calls out to me.

"What is this" I tell him well holding up the thin vial filled with the silver mist

"That right there Harry is a memory," he tells me.

"a memory" I questioned him

Yes, in the wizarding world, witches and wizards are capable of extracting memories using a special magical technique known as "Memory Extraction." This involves using their wands to delve into a person's mind and extract specific memories." Remus informs me

"so it's like a home video" i replied

"I guess that works," Remus say

"Whose memories are here though" I turn back to Sirius

"The items in the attic have been passed down through generations of our family. It's hard to tell whose belongings they were - they could have belonged to my mother, father, me, my brother, or any other family member." Sirius Says

"Is there a way to see whose memory it is?" I ask

"Wizards and witches use the Pensive to review and delve into memories. There are various types of Pensive, but the one we require is a projected Pensive that enables all of us to collectively witness the memory." Hermione tells me

"Where could we find one" Ron asked

"Let us all group up in the living room and I'll get the black family pensive," Sirius says

"Ok" I tell them

We all gathered in the living area with the Weasleys, Hermione, and me, while Remus waited for Sirius, who went to get the Pensive. Hermione sat on one side of me and Ron on the other, while Molly and Arthur shared one of the love seats. The twins, Ginny, and Percy occupied one couch, and Bill and Charlie sat on the floor between their siblings and parents. Remus was on the other loveseat, waiting for Sirius to come back.

Sirius came back with the pensive and send it up so we all have a good view.

"Alright, all I need to do is place the memory into the liquid inside the Pensive, and then the Pensive will display the memory for everyone to see." he explains to me

"Ok" We all replied

As Sirius placed the memory into the Pensive, the image slowly became clear for all of us to see. Sirius carefully placed the memory into the Pensive, and as we gathered around, the image slowly materialized, becoming clear enough for all of us to see.
