Chapter 39

**Chapter : **

**Alex’s POV**

It didn’t take long for Fudge to show his true colors. As expected, the Minister couldn’t resist the opportunity to double-cross me. He tried to orchestrate **Sirius Black's** death in Azkaban using **Dolores Umbridge** to send Dementors to finish the job. But what he didn’t know was that Umbridge was no longer his to command. She had been under my control for months now, following my every directive.

The moment Fudge made his move, Umbridge dutifully followed my orders instead of his. Instead of targeting Sirius, she turned the Dementors loose on many of the **Death Eaters** in Azkaban—leaving **Sirius Black** and **Bellatrix Lestrange** untouched.

I had made a calculated decision to leave **Bellatrix** alone. There was still the matter of **Helga Hufflepuff’s cup**, and I wasn’t sure if it could be retrieved without her involvement. For now, Bellatrix was useful alive, but every other marked Death Eater in Azkaban was fair game.

**The Azkaban Incident**

Umbridge, as ever, played her part to perfection, even if it was under duress. With the Dementors at her command, she led an attack on the imprisoned Death Eaters, their black, soulless forms swarming through the prison. One by one, the worst of Voldemort’s followers were Kissed, their souls consumed by the Dementors.

The attack was swift and brutal, and by the time **Amelia Bones** and the other Aurors arrived, the damage was already done. Umbridge, following my final order for her, staged a chaotic assault on the Aurors themselves. A battle ensued, and in the confusion, Umbridge was struck down, killed during the fray.

It was the perfect cover-up. Umbridge’s death sealed the evidence of her tampering, and as far as the Ministry would be concerned, she had lost control of the Dementors and gone mad. My plan had unfolded exactly as I had intended.

**Amelia Bones’ POV: The Aftermath**

Amelia Bones strode into the halls of **Azkaban** with a hardened resolve. The sight that greeted her was more gruesome than she had anticipated. Bodies of former Death Eaters lay cold, their faces blank, devoid of any life. Their souls had been taken by the Dementors, leaving them as little more than empty husks.

The air was thick with tension, the last echoes of a fierce battle still reverberating in the stone walls. Her eyes scanned the scene, settling on **Dolores Umbridge**, her body sprawled awkwardly on the ground. Amelia’s expression hardened. **Umbridge** had been reckless and dangerous for as long as she could remember, but to see her dead in such a way was still unexpected.

"Madness," **Moody** muttered as he limped beside her, his magical eye swiveling in every direction. “She lost control, didn't she?”

Bones shook her head slowly. Something didn’t add up. “Umbridge wasn’t stupid enough to think she could take on all these Death Eaters and the Dementors at once. Not without some kind of plan.”

Her eyes shifted toward the few surviving prisoners—Sirius Black and Bellatrix Lestrange among them. “We’ll need to get to the bottom of this,” she said grimly. “And fast. Something is going on here, and I don’t like it.”

---

**Sirius Black’s POV: A Second Chance**

For Sirius Black, the scene was surreal. He had spent years in Azkaban, surrounded by the very worst of Voldemort’s followers, and now, in the span of a few hours, almost all of them were gone. He had heard the screams, felt the cold presence of the Dementors as they swept through the prison, but for some reason, they hadn’t touched him.

He watched from the shadows as **Dolores Umbridge** led the attack, and though he didn’t know who had orchestrated it, he could sense something larger at play. And when the Aurors arrived, it became clear that this was no ordinary incident. This was a purge.

As the Aurors rounded up the remaining prisoners, Sirius remained quiet, his thoughts racing. He knew something had shifted in the balance of power, but for now, all he cared about was the fact that he was still alive—and Bellatrix, though mad as ever, was too. The two of them shared a brief, intense look across the prison hall, but Sirius quickly turned away. Whatever game was being played, he was determined to survive it.

When the Aurors finally reached him, he didn’t resist. He had no fight left in him. But there was something different this time. The Aurors didn’t look at him with the same disdain they once had. Instead, there was a flicker of recognition, a sense that maybe, just maybe, things were about to change.

**Alex’s POV: The Plan Unfolds**

From a distance, I watched as the events at Azkaban unfolded through my magical surveillance. The pieces were falling into place. **Sirius Black** had survived, Umbridge was dead, and most of the remaining Death Eaters in Azkaban had been eliminated. The **Ministry** would scramble to cover up the scandal, but there would be no undoing the damage.

With **Pettigrew** in custody and **Amelia Bones** investigating the truth, Sirius would have his chance for a fair trial. And with the Ministry weakened by the loss of key Death Eaters, **Voldemort’s** resurgence would be much more difficult to manage.

The next steps were crucial, though. I needed to ensure that Harry remained on the right path, that the world saw **Sirius Black** as the hero he truly was. I would keep working in the shadows, guiding events as I had always done. For now, the Ministry and Voldemort’s followers were weakened, but they wouldn’t stay that way forever.

And I wasn’t finished yet. There was still **Bellatrix**, still **Hufflepuff’s cup**, and the larger battle yet to come.

But for now, I could allow myself a brief moment of satisfaction.

The game was far from over, but at least for today, I had won.

**Amelia Bones’ POV: A Broken Ministry**

Back at the Ministry, Amelia Bones sat in her office, her mind whirling with the events that had transpired. **Peter Pettigrew**’s confession had already caused a stir, and now the **Azkaban** debacle would only add to the chaos.

She could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on her. The Ministry was broken, corrupted from within by Death Eaters and incompetence. But there was a glimmer of hope. With Umbridge gone and the Death Eaters in disarray, there was a chance to rebuild, to fix what had gone wrong for so long.

But she knew the road ahead would not be easy. Dark times were still coming, and the true battle was only just beginning.

---

**Sirius Black’s POV: A Glimmer of Hope**

As he was led out of Azkaban, the weight of years in prison still heavy on his shoulders, **Sirius** felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time—hope. The world outside was still dangerous, still filled with the ghosts of his past, but for the first time in years, he had a future.

The Aurors didn’t treat him like a criminal anymore. They knew something had changed, and that change was coming for everyone in the wizarding world.

Sirius didn’t know what the future held, but he was determined to fight for it, for **Harry**, for **James** and **Lily**, and for the world they had died to protect.

He wasn’t going to let their sacrifice be in vain.

The fight was just beginning.
