The Heir of Black

**The Heir of Black**

At age eleven, Alex Black McKinnon had already mastered more magic than most wizards twice his age, though he kept much of his ability hidden. His future knowledge and the gift Death had bestowed upon him allowed him to excel far beyond his peers. But now, as he prepared for his trip to Gringotts in Salem, the American branch of the famed wizarding bank, he was about to step into something much larger than even he anticipated.

It was early morning when Alex slipped out of their small cottage near the outskirts of Boston. His mother was busy with work, trusting him enough to handle himself, though he hadn’t told her exactly where he was going. He’d been planning this for months, ever since he discovered the existence of his Black family inheritance.

*Today’s the day I find out how deep the Black vaults go,* Alex thought, tightening his grip on his bag. *And maybe make a few moves of my own.*

He apparated silently to Salem, his small frame and growing skill with magic making it seem effortless. The city buzzed with magical and No-Maj life alike, but Alex barely noticed the towering buildings and cobblestone streets. His focus was on Gringotts—an imposing structure of stone and iron, just like its British counterpart, though smaller in scale. The goblin guards eyed him curiously as he entered, their sharp faces betraying little emotion.

Approaching the main desk, Alex raised his chin, projecting confidence. “I’m here to take an inheritance test. My name is Alex Black McKinnon.”

The goblin at the desk raised an eyebrow, clearly not expecting such a young wizard to be making a claim like this. “Do you have identification, young sir?”

Alex pulled out a document that his mother had unwittingly signed during the legal work required for living in America under magical protection. The goblin scrutinized it for a moment before nodding.

“Very well. Follow me.”

The goblin led Alex deep into the labyrinthine halls of Gringotts. The passageways grew colder and darker the further they went. After what felt like an eternity, they stopped in front of a large, iron door engraved with intricate runes.

“Inheritance tests are rare, but your claim is valid,” the goblin said, opening the door. Inside was a plain room with a large stone basin in the center. “Place your hand into the basin. It will draw a small amount of blood and confirm your lineage.”

Alex stepped forward, his heart pounding. He had always known the truth from his memories—he was the son of Sirius Black, the last true male heir of the Black family. But this was about making it official. Taking a deep breath, he plunged his hand into the basin. The cool stone pulsed under his skin, and he felt a sharp prick as it drew blood.

The runes on the basin flared to life, glowing bright gold, and then a sheet of parchment appeared out of thin air. The goblin retrieved it, scanning the contents.

“Congratulations, Mr. Black. You are the confirmed heir of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black,” the goblin said, handing him the parchment. “This entitles you to access the Black family vault, along with a substantial trust vault set aside for your education and future investments.”

Alex glanced at the parchment, his eyes widening as he saw the details: a fortune far larger than he had imagined, even after knowing about the wealth of the Blacks. But it wasn’t the money that intrigued him the most—it was the power. Being the heir of Black meant more than gold; it meant influence, connections, and a seat at the table of wizarding elites.

“Can I access my trust vault?” Alex asked, already planning ahead. “I’d like to make some investments.”

The goblin gave him a sharp-toothed grin. “Of course. How much would you like to withdraw?”

“Fifty thousand Galleons,” Alex said without hesitation.

The goblin’s eyebrows shot up in surprise but said nothing as he led Alex to his vault. The heavy door creaked open to reveal piles of gold, glittering and untouched. He converted the requested sum into Muggle currency—dollars—and pocketed the substantial sum.

As Alex left Gringotts, his mind was already racing. Fifty thousand Galleons was a considerable sum, but he knew he could turn it into far more. With his knowledge of the future and the various No-Maj companies, he could make investments that would grow exponentially over time.

He needed to be careful, though. Changing too much too fast could disrupt the future. But there were opportunities he couldn’t afford to miss—especially with the rise of powerful No-Maj companies in this world.

A few days later, older Alex( using the aging potion and of age documents) found himself sitting in the office of a No-Maj investment firm, the crisp air-conditioned space a far cry from the magical environments he was used to. The advisor sitting across from him eyed him curiously—after all, it wasn’t every day that an eleven-year-old walked in with the equivalent of several million dollars, ready to invest.

“I’m looking to diversify,” Alex said, his voice steady. “Tech companies, mostly. And a few aerospace firms.”

The advisor blinked, clearly caught off guard by Alex’s unusual request. “You’re… interested in technology?”

Alex gave a small smile. “Yes. Specifically, companies like Microsoft, Apple, and Intel.” He could see the advisor’s confusion growing, but Alex pressed on, mentioning names that he knew from his past life. “I’m also interested in some smaller firms. Stark Industries, for example.”

At the mention of Stark Industries, the advisor’s expression shifted to one of recognition. “Stark Industries? You’re talking about Howard Stark’s company?”

Alex nodded. “Yes, exactly. I believe they’re going to be major players in the future.”

As the conversation continued, Alex’s mind whirled. Stark Industries. *Howard* Stark. *Tony* Stark. The names confirmed his growing suspicions. This world wasn’t just a magical one—it was far more dangerous and complex. The mention of Stark alone, combined with his knowledge of technology from his past life, made one thing clear:

This world wasn’t just the Harry Potter universe.

It was also the Marvel Universe.

The realization hit him like a tidal wave. Suddenly, everything made sense—why Death had hinted that this world would be far more adventurous and perilous than the Harry Potter world he remembered. This was a world where superhumans existed, where gods walked among men, and where cosmic threats could arrive at any moment. The stakes were infinitely higher.

Alex felt the weight of that knowledge settle on his shoulders. He had been preparing for Voldemort, for the rise of the Dark Lord and the inevitable final battle between good and evil. But now? Now, he had to prepare for something even bigger.

*This world is a thousand times more dangerous,* Alex thought, his heart pounding with the enormity of it all. *I’m not just fighting dark wizards—I’m in a world with heroes, villains, and forces beyond anything I’ve ever imagined.*

But instead of fear, he felt a surge of excitement. The challenges ahead were immense, but with his knowledge of both worlds, his magical abilities, and the fortune he now controlled, Alex was in a unique position.

He could shape the future—not just for the wizarding world, but for this *entire* world.

And he was ready.
