Chapter 1
Regulus was working at the bookstore today because he won't be able to work for a few weeks at least, he is stocking the shelves when he hears the bell that indicates someone just entered the store so he looks up and the first thing he hears is “Baby Black, is that you?” and he instantly knows who it is, it’s James Potter who he hasn’t seen since his last day at Hogwarts and DAMN is his first thought because Potter is in his bookstore, Potter with his perfectly tan skin, and his beautiful glasses and hair, and he’s taller and more fit. “Potter, didn’t know you could read” shit he didn’t mean to say that but the only thing going through his mind is ‘why is he this hot, how is he this hot, I want to ask him on a date, I love this man’. “I can re-” James begins but when he finally looks, actually looks he doesn’t recognize Regulus because last time he saw Regulus was on his last day of Hogwarts a year before Regulus graduated, but it wasn’t Regulus then, it was Regina and Regina was a girl but now she looks like a guy and James is short circuiting because DAMN “- you look different Regi-” he is cut off by Regulus before he can finish his sentence “it’s Regulus and yes I look different I know, I’ll explain everything but hold on” he said while walking to the counter “I’m going on break I’ll be back in 15 Cas” then he walked up to James “c’mon I’ll take you to the back just follow me” so James followed. “Okay so Regulus” James says gesturing his hand at Regulus “yes James I’m trans I started taking the testosterone potion during my last year, Pandora and Evan helped me Brew the potion and after I graduated I packed all of my stuff in my trunk and left, moved into a muggle apartment with Barty, and Evan who continued to help me brew my potion then they moved so now i have my own flat that a share with my cat and today is my last day working for a while because I’m getting surgery tomorrow” wow is all James can think because Regulus is so beautiful and his voice is gonna kill him but he pushes all of that away for now “if you give me your number i can take you to the hospital and bring you home and help you after your surgery if that’s ok” James just wants to get Regulus’ number but he also want to help so he thought that this was his best option “that would be nice James my surgery is at 10 so you might have to get up early” “that's fine Reg, i will stay up all night with you if you want me to” Regulus laughs “ did you just call me Reg?” “I didn’t mean to, it won't happen again” James is so embarrassed now “no I like it you can call me Reg” he realizes that he is blushing now “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable but can I take you out for drinks tonight?” James asked his best mates brother out on a date, “I’d like that, my lunch is in like an hour if you want to hang around the shop for a while and help until then” James gratefully accepts Regulus’ invitation to hang out in the store. An hour later James and Regulus are walking to James’ favorite coffee shop. “James, does Sirius still talk about me?” James nods “yes he misses you and has been looking for you since you graduated” James tells him “if it’s ok with you can you ask him and Remus to come with you tonight if they are free, I want to see him and try to fix our relationship” “actually they work at the coffee shop we are going to, but i don’t know if they are working today, if they are then we can all have lunch together and you can talk to him if that’s ok” Regulus nods at James and then they go into the coffee shop.
