Half broken Japanese
Summary
With Dumbledore dead the language spell has been broken, leaving dazai unable to read or write to Blaise. This is my first time writing on here/sharing a piece I wrote so it won't be too good, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone by sharing stuff so this is step one. Don't expect much, this will be pretty short as I feel that the more I write the worse it will get. I haven't watched Harry Potter in forever so this is a hypothetical idea of what could happen, also I'm sorry if they seem miss characterized. I want to re read m&m to analyze the characters better but Im too busy with school to, also portraying a character so complex can be hard at first. Dazai is a really cool character in bad and expecially m&m, I'm excited to analyze him and better understand him but for now this is the best I got bc I haven't wrote in a while

Dazai was used to waiting. Waiting for mission, waiting for orders, waiting for a slap to come in contact, ect. He was used to it all by now, but for some reason it felt different this time. Blaise said he was going to write everyday, something else to wait for but instead of dreading it like normal something felt different. His heart has been heavy since he let go of Blaise's hand, this strange feeling that bubbles up inside of him when he thinks of Blaise was knew to him and he didn't understand it. It left him confused which he rarely had to deal with these days.

There he lay, staring at the ceiling of his room blankly. The dusty sheets and blankets something he has long sense forgotten after sleeping in the warm couch of the hell hound's club room. Featherbrain's hooting disrupted his thoughts, glancing over to her and groaning as he got up. He let her out of her cage and she started pecking at the window, a sign that she wanted out. He walked over to open it before he froze, there he saw an owl with a letter.

He hurriedly opened the window, trying to be quick as to make sure mori does not hear. He grabbed the letter, petting the owl as he watched it fly away before quickly turning it around to see who it was from. His eyebrow quickly furrowed, he could recognize the handwriting from anywhere. It was Blaise, he hoped, but he just couldn't read it. He couldn't understand the letters or the words, he didn't know why but he just couldn't read the English on the letter.

He opened it, grabbing the letter in his hands and holding it close to his face. The page crinkled as he gripped it harder, throwing it away and falling on his bed with a sigh. He quickly understood that for some reason he couldn't read English anymore, thinking for a minute before understanding fully. Since he had killed Dumbledore, the spell had worn off. The only thing that was annoying coming from his death. He didn't know what he was gonna do.

After brainstorming for a bit he sat at his desk, since he knew Blaise wouldn't be able to understand him either he drew a picture. It wasn't the best, he wasn't an artist after all but it should convey the message well enough. He quickly rushed featherbrain out the window and sat down with a sigh. This was really going to be too much work.

Days went by and Blaise was fast to understand, though dazai thought that the letters would just stop but Blaise quickly replied with a picture of his own. The two started sending letters like that, Blaise would draw himself in his room or hanging out with Draco and pansy and things of the sort while Dazai's were of his missions (of course child friendly because he didn't want Blaise to worry) or just him drawing mori looking evil. That was his favorite part of the day for once he looked forward to something which was knew. He felt funny, he didn't know what this feeling was but it definitely didn't belong in the port mafia. He shouldn't be feeling it looking forward to stuff.

After a rough mission dazai limped into his room, sighing as he saw Blaise's owl staring at him. He opened the window and let it in, sitting on his bed and grabbing the letter before opening it. This time he was a bit confused, there were more than one pages. He glanced at the picture, tracing the drawing that Blaise did of himself. It was of Blaise and Draco, doing magic (at least he thought, Blaise wasn't much of an artist either). He gently placed it to the side, he'd have to put it with the others.

He then unfolded the other paper, his fingers working working gently which was unnatural for a mafioso like him. On it was words, though in Japanese which confused dazai. It said that Blaise and Draco had been searching all summer for books in Draco's library for a translation spell. It made him laugh a bit, the Japanese was pretty bad though it was understandable. They had only completed their second year so of course it wouldn't be perfect. At the end was something else, it was hard to read like the others but dazai was smart enough.

He stared at the sheet for a minute, confusion on his face as he pieced together what it said. In half broken Japanese Blaise wrote 'I love you'

Dazai didn't know how to feel things, he didn't understand how to feel emotions. But his heart got heavy and his stomach fluttered as he stared at the page, what a funny feeling .

He quickly wrote back, sending feather brain away and laying on his bed. Maybe waiting wasn't so bad
