
Chapter 17
Remus was tired.
He spent all day trying to wrangle a whole bunch of teenagers and keep them all in line.
If this is what he had been like for McGonagall, he felt a whole newfound respect for her.
Today he had tried to explain what a boggert was to a bunch of loud teenagers who only wanted to scream and run away.
When he has stepped in front of it, it had shown him the full moon, reminding him that it was only a few days away. Reminding him that he was going to be alone again this time as well. And after that, well, he hadn't really felt like socializing.
He lived pretty close to the school, so he just decided to go home for the day.
If Dumbledore asked, he could just say it was something to do with being a werewolf, and he would probably believe him immediately.
When he unlocked his front door and walked in, he immediately could tell something was wrong.
He could smell a fire going. Not like burning the house down, but in the fireplace. Which was strange, because he hadn't lit a fire in months seeing as it was summer.
As he inched his way into the living room, he saw someone he could never forget.
Laying on the carpet in front of his fireplace, was a huge shaggy black dog. With unmistakable silver eyes staring at him from their comfortable place on the rug in front of the fire.
Recognition crossed their face, and he was no longer a dog.
The same shaggy black hair reached down to the man's chin, and he was wearing prisoners clothes.
"You... You never changed where we used to hide the key." He sounded nervous.
"Sirius!" Remus screamed, throwing himself across the living room towards his husband.
And for the first time in a long time, there were no new scars that full moon.
(Cheesy? Yes, but I still like it, so whatever)
