Chapter 8
Dear padfoot
Today I saw a little kid fall down on the sidewalk and scrape his knee. I gave him a bandaid and some chocolate, he ate it, he felt better, stopped crying and found his mom.
Do you remember why I always keep bandaids and chocolate on me?
It all started because of you.
It was the Saturday after a particularly bad transformation, and I was in the hospital wing. You, James, and Peter came to see me. I could barely move, and had missed a hogsmead trip.
But you guys had brought me back loads of candy. You handed me a chocolate frog and said
"Here, it'll make you feel better."
And it did, although whether it was from you or because it actually made me feel better, I'm not sure.
After that, all three of you were convinced that I LOVED chocolate. Every holiday, birthday, we missed you, or anything when you would give me gifts, it would always have some kind of chocolate.
I do like chocolate, but I like the reminder more. The reminder of you three looking out for me, and bringing me chocolate when I felt bad.
Lord know how clumsy and stupid we were when we were at Hogwarts. Always pulling pranks and getting hurt.
As the only responsible one of our group, I got into the habit of carrying bandaids and bandages with me where ever I went.
They never got old because I used them so often.
I'm still not convinced that you didn't get hurt on purpose so I would wrap you up and give you bandaids.

Ps. I loved it though.
