Chapter 5
Dear Sirius
Your favorite song came in the radio today. For completely unrelated reasons, I was about three minutes late to work today.
I ended up getting a job at that little coffee shop where we went on our first date.
Seeing all the young couples come in makes me miss you. You would have loved their new fall menu.
I remember our first date was so uptight and formal. But that only lasted for a few minutes, because then we noticed James and Peter in awful disguises watching us from two tables over. Trying not to draw attention to themselves even though they were the only other people on this end of the cafe.
I pointed them out to you, and we both laughed. And I knew at moment that I loved you. Seeing you smile like that, you laughed and threw your head back, mirth in your eyes. And the words I loved you almost slipped out of my mouth.
I do still love you.
