I was avoiding my brother. I needed the map and the cloak but neither were in my custody. Al had taken the map and Lils took the cloak. I really needed to avoid my brother but a bit difficult with the map. I walked as fast as possible to the RoR. Ever since Scorp and he was seen together, Al started asking questions. To be fair, his brother and his best friend together were a disturbing thought for Al.

When I opened the door, I saw Scorp with a drawing book and his cardigan.

"Are you avoiding him too?"

"Yeah, but kinda hard with being roommates and all. He has been asking very pointed questions. He probably needs a confirmation about us. I mean is there an us?"

James looked away unable to meet the gray eyes. His beautiful gray eyes. Their relationship started very unusually. It was circumstantial. Al and Scorpius had started a Christmas tradition. Starting at the Potter residents and ending at the Malfoy Manor. James wanted more. He needed more but something stopped him from expressing his feelings. Something being his brother. He knew that he and Al did not have the best relationship. It took until James' 5th year and he had gotten overprotective over his younger brother. Al acknowledged him and he returned. Now two years later James was in a relationship with his best friend.

"There is an us in a way that Al would never like" James stated.

Scorp looked down. He didn't say anything else just continued with whatever he was drawing.

I wandered the room. This specific room was pre-decorated and it was the room that showed itself when Scorpius came first. It fascinated me that the room encapsulated Scorpius well. The dark green and silver walls and the stack of books and trinkets truly fit his aesthetic. I didn't realize Scorpius had moved or that he was behind me. His touch startled me and I tripped on the carpet. I knocked down the random side table and toppled the books.

James sighed "Shit. Let me clean that."

Scorpius was picking up a black book. "This came from under the table. It looks like a false bottom. R.A.B? It's locked. Weird"

What they both didn't expect was a flash when Scorpius tried to open it. Whatever curse or spellwork bound to the book threw them off their feet and into each other. He dropped it like it burned him.

"Well, that's enough of that. We should head to dinner" stated James as he picked himself off the floor and helped him.

They exited the room with a single glance at the book that looked still out of place with the slightest glow. The R.A.B glowed just a little brighter.
