Chapter 1

The only thing you could hear in the castel were heavy footsteps, which echoed through the silent halls. It was too dark to see the face of the man, but the figure hiding in the shadow could easily recognise the way he walked.

It was no other than King Orion Black himself, who wandered through the darkness of the night. It was unusual for him to leave his room after dinner, and when he did, he always made sure to have his guards around.

Everyone knew the reason for this behaviour. It was triggered by the night no one in the castel would easily forget. The night Sirius Black, the disowned heir of the royal family, left. There are many rumours why he did it, but nobody could be sure of it except for himself.

The night he left was chaotic. It started normal until someone broke into the palace. The safest place in the country, or so everyone thought. It is a mystery who it was, but the people knew them as the Marauders.

There were many rumours about how they did it and why, but it seemed like the only reason they paid the place a visit to cause chaos and give the residents a shock for live. I mean, it's not happening everyday that some random guy with a knife is in front of the kings bed, just to turn around and walk away with the words "sorry wrong bed" as they realised it was Orion Blacks room.

Everyone assumed that Sirius used the confusion and lack of attention from the royal guards to sneak away unnoticed. What nobody knew was that the disowned heir was a part of these mysterious Marauders.

The intruders didn't destroy anything that night. The only thing they did was steal some diamonds before they fled with the Black.

The footsteps were fading as the king continued his way down the hall and quieted down entirely as he entered his bedroom. It was completely silent and you could hear absolutely nothing except for the wind, which lightly shook the windows of the west wing.

After a few seconds, the figure in the shadow began to move. Within a few seconds, he reached the hidden tunnel. It took the person a few minutes until he reached the end and could climb out of it.

The moonlight light up the features of the man, who looked Sirius so much alike but couldn't be more different than him at the same time. Regulus Black let his gaze wander over the deep black sea while his thoughts drifted away like they did on many nights like this.

The crown prince always thought that the sea had something calming. He always felt like it called him, and he loved being on a ship. The reasons why he was on the ships were never all too good ones for him, but the light breeze and the salty air let him forget about everything until they reached land.

As he sat down, he sighed frustrated. What he wouldn't give to live a live on a ship. Far away way from his duties and his parents, with nobody to tell him what to do. The black haird man rested his head on a rock behind him and began to play with the sand underneath his fingers.

He didn't know how long he sat there like this, but as he opened his eyes, the sun began to rise, which meant that he was here for a few hours as he got here in the middle of the night.

The prince knew he would get in trouble if he didn't hurry back to the castel, but he couldn't bring himself to move from his spot, so he just watched the sunrise and decided to deal with his parents later.

Despite knowing that it was a really bad idea to not show up at breakfast and lunch, he hid in the huge library of the old building instead of going to eat with his parents. But the boy couldn't be in there forever, so he left right in time to make it to the dining room as the food was served. This obviously was counted as let by his father, who ignored him until he finished eating.

The first thing the king said to his son was:"Would you mind coming to my room after you finish your meal, I would like to have a conversation with you." Even though it was phrased like a question, Regulus was aware that he didn't have a choice but to follow the command.

The day didn't end well for the youngest Black, and he could barely walk back to his room after the "conversation" he had with his father. He was happy that his mother didn't join them because he was most certain that he would be unconscious right now if she was with them.

Tired, he fell into his bed, and surprisingly, sleep overwhelmed him in a matter of seconds. The nightmares, however, did not stop. They never did, not once since his brother left without saying goodbye. Not a wave, not even a look the older one had for his sibling, and they both knew all too well what Regulus was facing because of Sirius sudden leave.
