Note
This was inspired by something that I read which was very upsetting and upset me greatly. But like any good artist, I turned the sadness and pain that I felt while reading it, and turned it into something that captures the magnificence of the world and deep within us.Here's the piece that inspired it all if you want. I would not recommend you to read this if you have a low tolerance for blood, rape, suicidal thoughts and bad endings. So read at your own risk.https://archiveofourown.org/works/55122826/chapters/139771018CW: light smut A. K. A: masturbation. And some slight gore at the end.

This Is Likely Our Last Day Of Living....

After that insanely, insanely, insanely, insanely, strange encounter, technically the Doctor was now a prisoner under Safe Haven and subsequently Doey. Fulfilling Catnap's deal with Doey on getting Doctor Harley Sawyer to help against the Prototype. And now, it was the final preparations, finding materials for use as weapons, finding explosive material for traps, rigging and configuring those traps and machines. An entire straight week of preparation and planning, and now, it's the day before their fated attack, and everyone knows that this could be their last day of life before they die to the hands of the Prototype. So why not have a party and let all of the emotions loose? And that train of thought is multiplied when somehow Mommy Long Legs brings down a case of alcohol down in Playcare. Poppy, who had originally brought Ollie to Playcare, had let him stay in the clinic area, where she frequently visits these few weeks and checks up on him and had stayed with him for the majority of the party. Especially since the Nightmare Critters and even a muzzled Yarnaby were there and she had heard from many of the Smiling Critters on what they had done, she made sure that Ollie didn't go wandering around Playcare that night. Once the festivities were starting to ramp up, all of the Smiling Critters had broken off into pairs and went off on their own.

Hoppy Hopscotch ran off with Bobby Bearhug into the toy store, where neither of the two had actually explored yet. The pair were looking over the many stuffed animals and other knick-knacks and such that they always wanted but never had the chance to get. By the time they were done with their pillaging, they had bags of lots of cute and cuddly things.

"Hey, Bobby, could I ask you something? Before we go?" Hoppy said slowly, slightly fidgeting as she does. Bobby gives her the smile she always gives to her friends, lovely and always attentive.

"Of course! And what would that be?" Bobby said, for someone being all about love, she doesn't seem to know the signs of a confession right in front of her.

"Well, I've been meaning to say this to you for a while now. And all I hope is that we all make it out of this tomorrow, but just in case we don't, I want to get this off my chest." Hoppy said with more conviction than what she usually has, causing Bobby to slowly understand the situation that they are in.

"Bobby... I love you. I love you very much. And I would like for us to be together." Hoppy said to the surprise of Bobby, causing Hoppy to second guess herself on if this was even a good idea in the first place. She closed her eyes and winced, preparing for the worst, but was surprised with Bobby's soft paws on her face, her warmth mixing with Hoppy's redness.

"Of course. I love you too. And I would love for us to be together." Bobby said just before their faces gently pushed against each other, locking the both of them in a kiss. When they eventually pulled away for a breath of oxygen, they both stared into each others eyes for a moment before giggling and giving each other a tender hug. On the other side of Playcare, Bubba is off looking at the library in the school, when he gets visited.

"Hey nerd." Kickin's voice calls out to the elephant. He turns around to see Kickin leaning against the doorway, posing slightly sultry.

"Come to find me?" Bubba said, putting the book he was reading back on its place on the shelf.

"Obviously. I get so lonely without you." Kickin said as he put a finger to his lips, slightly pouting. Bubba knew about Kickin's crush for him for a while, he only shows this side to Bubba whenever they are alone, and Bubba took a lot of time to find his own feelings about the entire situation, but now he is one hundred percent sure about what he feels about Kickin.

"I see. Are you usually feeling so...starved for attention?" Bubba said, walking closer to Kickin. Kickin obviously didn't expect this coming from Bubba, and looks visibly flustered.

"Or maybe, you just feel like you crave my attention and affection?" Bubba said as Kickin backed himself into a wall, with Bubba pinning him against it. Bubba now had Kickin stuck and unable to move since his larger body and arms were effectively pinned to the wall. Kickin looked up at Bubba, seeing his handsome face also a bit red. It would seem that he is also getting flustered by this, granted not as much as Kickin, for he is as red as a tomato. Bubba leaned in ever so closely, their faces only a few inches apart as Kickin stammers to answer.

"I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- WAIT!!!" Kickin said, stopping Bubba in his tracks.

"I...... Love you.......Please..... Be gentle with me....." Kickin shyly said. Well damn. The coolest critter. Acting quite cute and shy. Is what Bubba thought. Out loud. With his words. Kickin looked Bubba dead in the eyes and pouted quite hard, literally and figuratively ruffling his feathers and getting the blue elephant to have a hearty chuckle.

"I love you too, Kickin. And don't worry, I won't do anything you don't want." Bubba said before gently kissing Kickin. Kickin reciprocated and slowly, the kissing had turned into swapping saliva with each other. Bubba was feeling all over Kickin's lithe body while Kickin had draped his arms over Bubba's back. Bubba had just gotten his hands to Kickin's waist, moving them down to his thighs and bringing them around his hips, causing Kickin to panic a slight bit which caused Bubba to stop.

"I'm sorry." Bubba said slowly as they caught their breath.

"No... It's just..... Do you know anywhere quieter....?" Kickin slowly asked.

"Teacher's desk." Bubba immediately replied. Kickin gave it a thought before nodding, with Bubba leading the chicken to a not quite quieter place, but definitely more comfortable. Elsewhere, Crafty and Picky are standing a bit of a distance away from the main party, and there they could see, among other toys, the Nightmare Critters drinking and eating. Two critters had caught the eyes of the unicorn and the bovine, the crow and the shark respectively.

"But I heard from Hoppy, and everyone, that both of them were.... Umm..... Servicing? The other Critters....?" Crafty coyly asked, getting a scoff from Picky Piggy.

"Oh please, you wouldn't do that for anyone from the Smiling Critters?" Picky bluntly said, getting an aggressive head shaking from Crafty.

"No! Well, yes, I would help my friends if it meant that they could still stay sane, but..... I'm not sure if any of the Nightmare Critters are already together because of that...." Crafty said.

"Well what's that one phrase that some smart writer said? Carp Dime? Or Dayum? or something?" Picky said, trying to remember. "Its Carpe Diem. Latin for "Seize the moment"." Crafty interrupted, getting an eyebrow raise from Picky.

"See! You're smart like that Poe guy!" Picky exclaimed. Crafty looked over to Poe, slightly flustered. Seeing him away from the rest of the party and staring off into the distance, probably thinking about writing drafts, had gotten Crafty thinking how alike and unalike they are. The way that Poe's eyes seemed to shine whenever they see something that inspires them, the way that they sometimes mutter and write out words on the air, like how Crafty does her brush strokes.

"And I think I see a lot in common with you and Miss Mako over there." Crafty pointed towards Maggie chomping down on a chocolate bar. The two did seem to have quite the passion for food, but Maggie had more of a liking to sweet things, which is definitely Picky.

"Yeah right? It's like we're made together." Picky said as she rested her head on her arm. Seeing this, Crafty took a deep breath and started to confidently walk towards Poe.

"C'mon Picky! We gotta at least try or we'll never forget this and always regret it!" Crafty said just as Picky also went running forward, eager to also get chummy with the shark. Once the majority of the party was now dying down, Catnap and Dogday were one of the last ones to go to sleep, going inside of their shared room. Catnap quickly hopped on the purple cat bed and fluffed it up just as Dogday laid next to Catnap, with both of them facing each other.

"You know, this could be out last moment together, we could die tomorrow." Catnap said, slightly bringing down the mood. But Dogday only shuffled closer to Catnap, hugging him tightly and gently kissing him.

"Yes. It could be. Which is why I want to spend this last night of ours with you." Dogday said, getting a tender smile from Catnap.

"I know you already want to do all of this for me, but is there anything you want to see or me to do specifically? Not in that way, frankly I feel too tired for that right now." Dogday said, slightly stammering to explain himself.

"Oh no, it's nothing like that. I promise you that what I wanted from the start is purely wholesome." Catnap said, kissing Dogdays' forehead.

"It's very simple. I want to see how happy you are when you see the real sun, since you are always my sunshine that wakes me up in the morning, I wonder how you could compare to the great gas giant? Though I theorize that you'd always be brighter and sunnier." Catnap said, lightly chuckling while Dogday full on laughed from the corniness yet sweetness of it all.

"You know. I thought kind of the same thing. How nice would it be for both of us to be under the moonlight? What I would give to see you finally be at peace." Dogday said, both of them getting very sentimental now as both of them started to tear up a bit. This whole situation was quite unfair, here they were, trying to fight someone evil, when all they wanted was for somebody to love. And they found that somebody, but now that somebody that brings both of them so much joy warmth might get taken away.

"I wish we could've done all of those things sooner, but we were too busy with preparing for the battle, and now we can only hope that we live through it to fulfill each others dreams." Catnap said, bringing some hope. And with one final kiss, the pair slowly doze off to sleep. And suddenly, all was silent in Playcare, the festivities were now done and all of the toys and experiments were taking a well deserved rest for the coming battle. God knows they'll need it.
