The day that Heaven cast us Here
Cokesworth - June 1982
— I Can't! I can't do this anymore! — Screamed a man who couldn't have been more than 21 years old, he had leaned with his back against the sofa and was squeezing one of the sofa cushions
He was alone, completely alone, as always, lying in his black chair, no one could hear his screams, no one could hear his cries, saying that he was scared was an understatement, he was totally terrified.
His son was supposed to be born in August, he had been taking care of his health as best as he could, Therefore, that night of June 3, he was preparing dinner, when he felt a sudden pain in the lower part of his stomach, he tried to ignore it, thinking that it was just another of his pains that he had regularly since the fourth month
But as the minutes passed, the pain only increased little by little, every minute the waves of pain became stronger and stronger, he had to sit down for a few seconds to take a breath. He was only seven months into the pregnancy, so it never crossed his mind that the pains were contractions
The pain only grew more intense, so he headed to his chair, hoping it would pass eventually
He had no one to ask for help, and he wanted to keep Dumbledore as far away from the baby as possible, he knew how manipulative that man could be, and that he didn't mind involving everyone in his plans
¿Should he contact Narcissa? Although by the time the owl arrived with the Malfoys, the pain would surely have passed, he began to breathe heavily, his body losing all the color it still had when he felt something wet between his legs
— No, No, No, No, No — He repeated again and again, — Please, it's not your time yet,— he begged the baby, not knowing if he could even hear him. He sent the owl to Malfoy Manor, with a poorly written and ink-stained letter that simply said Help me
Severus knew that help was not going to arrive anytime soon, and he couldn't even travel via the red Floo, so he prepared himself for what was coming, he had grown up in a fairly poor town, where everything was small and always dirty, so most women did not have enough money or means for when their children were born
Among the townspeople they had learned how to help each other when the time came, and Severus had had to accompany his mother on several occasions, so he knew what to do.
The screams and cries of pain filled the small house, but still, no one listened, he felt like he was going to faint and Snape could only beg Merlin for Narcissa to arrive to save the little one, he was a premature baby, so if Severus fainted the child would surely die
The smell of blood and the feeling of his hair stuck together with sweat did not help calm his anxiety, — Damn mutt! — he shouted as he pushed
He cursed Sirius for putting him in this situation. But still he couldn't help but wish that Padfoot was here to save them both, to see his little kid, Severus hadn't had a good mother, he remembered the fear and hatred he felt when he saw her, and since he found out that he would have a baby , that had become his biggest fear
That one day his child would look at him as he once saw his parents. He heard knocking on the door, — It's not real, you're not here — Snape began to repeat to himself
He knew that sound, it was a constant nightmare, One in which Tobias escaped from the prison where they kept him and came for him, he knew that now with the wand he could easily beat him, but he feared that the fear he had of his own father as a child would will cloud his judgment and prevent him from attacking his father
He was on the verge of fainting, but he was finally able to give the final push and take the baby in his hands. He was too small, and his skin was blue, the cord had gotten tangled in his neck, taking away his air
He unbuttoned his shirt as quickly as he could and thought he heard it tear a little, but all he cared about was putting his little one on his chest.
He began to cry harder when he realized that the child was not crying. He was breathing, but he did not make a sound. The baby was a boy
— Please wake up, please. I don't want to live without you — he cried as he held the baby to his chest. — Regulus — he Whispered — Regulus Asterion Black —
Snape burst into tears again, he couldn't call him Black, first because he wasn't sure Sirius would recognize the baby as his if he ever found out, and second, because then everyone would see him as the cursed son of a mass murderer
He couldn't call him Prince, because he might get in trouble with the remaining Princes, his mother had been disgraced and he was nothing more than a bastard, there was no way they would allow little Regulus to have the same last name
That left the Snape name as a last option, and he didn't want to, he promised himself that he would make the Snape name go away, for all it meant, Tobias didn't deserve grandkids, Severus didn't deserve children, but he couldn't even keep that promise, — Forgive me, forgive me Asterion, you have to live, do you hear me? You have to survive this, you are the only thing I don't regret in my life —
A loud slam of the door was heard out of nowhere, and at the main door Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy appeared, both were amazed at the scene, Severus was on the floor, covered in blood and with a torn shirt, sweaty and crying while he pressed the little boy against his skin
Lucius took off the gloves and the black coat he was wearing. He tried to pick up the child, but Severus shuddered. — No! Get away! I won't let you take him! I won't let you take him from me! —
Narcissa realized that the smaller man was in a kind of trance, he did not recognize the two figures in front of him, and the only thing he thought about was not to leave his son's side
— Severus, Sev, I'm Narcissa, look at me — she ordered, taking his face in her hands and forcing him to look at her, Snape seemed to regain consciousness for a few seconds, — Save him,— the black-haired man whispered
Lucius took advantage of those seconds of lucidity to take the child and then run towards the nearest floo — San Mungo! — the blonde shouted, disappearing with Regulus in his arms
Feeling the child being taken away from him, the potionist returned to his trance, — Where is he? Where did you take him!? Don't take my baby from me! Please! Give me my child back! — He screamed
Narcissa just hugged him trying to calm him down, it was clear from all the blood that there was that Severus had been hurt, he had to be taken to the hospital, but she couldn't move him like that
— I don't want him to die — he cried, — Don't let him die, Cissa — the man begged

Cokeswhorth - December 1982
Minerva McGonagall appeared in the small Muggle town, Albus Dumbledore had asked her to please go visit Severus, since he was not responding to Dumbledore's letters, in addition, he could use one or two pieces of advice about what awaits in his next year as a teacher
She crossed the river until she reached the furthest house in town, knocked on the wooden door of the dilapidated little house, a few minutes passed until the door opened, revealing a very emaciated Snape
He was disheveled and was only wearing a poorly buttoned white shirt, which was too big for him, accompanied by blue shorts and black socks, large black circles under his eyes and he was skinnier than ever
— Professor McGonagall, can I help you with something? — Severus asked, — Merlin's sake, that's what I should ask you, what happened to you, Snape? —The woman exclaimed worriedly.
— It doesn't matter, why are you here? — Severus answered, — Albus says you haven't answered his letters —
Snape was about to answer, until a loud cry interrupted the conversation, Severus ran out of the door to a small room upstairs. Minerva followed him, worried about the crying, She had no idea there was a child here
They both walked through the small house until they reached a room, Minerva was surprised by the abrupt change, the whole house was old and dilapidated, but this small room seemed freshly painted and smelled good.
There was a small white crib in the middle of the room, the walls were painted dark blue, there were wooden toys and the floor was covered with a rug
— Now, now, calm down — Severus calmed the little baby, — I've been a little busy — he said quietly. — Yes, I already saw — Mcgonagall answered sarcastically, expecting one of the typical passive aggressive responses from the smallest man
But there was no response, only an exhausted whimper from Severus as the baby pulled weakly at Snape's shirt seeking to be fed, — Is he yours? — Mcgonagall asked, she became depressed when she saw Severus nod slightly
— How old is he? — The woman questioned as she looked at the little boy who completely ignored her presence as soon as he started eating
— Six months — Minerva was surprised by the answer, she expected him to say that the baby had just been born, or that he was no more than two months old, — It's very...— the woman began, — Small, Yes — Severus interrupted.
— He was born prematurely, he is sick, I did everything possible for him to be born healthy, but I suppose he was affected by my terrible mistakes of the past that seemed to condemn me to nothing going well for me —
The woman watched as the man made the baby burp and then tried to put him to sleep, — Okay, that was enough — Minerva said when she saw the young man so destroyed. She went down the stairs and washed her hands, she also took off his characteristic green coat and hat, leaving only her white shirt adorned with a black bow, she folded the sleeves up to his forearm and went back up to the room
— Give him to me — she indicated, gesturing to the baby, Snape was reluctant to give it to him. Regulus was not a very healthy child, so he did not want to risk someone else passing on another illness
Furthermore, many of his childhood traumas and internal insecurities made him not want to hand the child over to anyone else, other than him, only Narcissa and Lucius had held the child in their arms, and it had been in very specific situations and for a short time.
— Snape, I know you've never liked receiving help, and I know there are too many conflicts in that head of yours. But if you want to keep him safe, you're going to have to accept that there will be more people in his life. We'll work together on your trust issues later, but right now, don't let me help you if you don't want to, but let me help him —
The words of his old teacher made him think a little, The little boy didn't even have godparents, Who would take care of him if Severus died? His biggest problem in his entire life had been loneliness, He couldn't count all the times he had wanted to have an uncle or aunt, grandparents, cousins or whoever in order to have someone to count on.
And now, unconsciously he had been condemning his son to the same thing, to be alone, Minerva could be a good figure for Asterion, she was disciplined, kind, confident and affectionate when she wanted, relaxing his grip on the baby, he looked up, seeing finally the woman in the eyes
He didn't see a look of scolding or annoyance, like the ones he constantly received when he asked for help, but rather a pleading look, a silent, "let me help." Finally, he handed the child over to Minerva
— Very good, Hello beautiful, what is your name? — She asked, looking at the boy, — Regulus Asterion Snape — Severus answered, Minerva analyzed the answer carefully
She understood that the boy's name was Regulus. After all, the original Regulus had been one of Severus's oldest and closest friends, Asterion, if she remembered correctly, was the name of a star
And the last name, Snape, McGonagall knew how much Severus hated his last name, and it was clear that the future potions master was the baby's mother, so she quickly realized, Asterion's father is not available. So she decided she wouldn't ask or talk about it
— I'll make him sleep — the woman began, — Now, for Merlin's sake, go and take a bath — Minerva ordered with her characteristic tone of voice
The baby fell asleep not long after, so the woman went down to wait in the kitchen, she expected the man to take a long time, he needed it
On the other side, in the bathroom of the little house Severus prepared to take a bath, a real one, not like the ones he had taken lately, briefly so as not to leave Asterion alone at any time
He took off the White shirt he was wearing, he liked that shirt, it was Sirius's, he had given it to him after the last night they spent together, The night they conceived Asterion
He put on the shirt to annoy Sirius, but Black only told him how pretty he looked. They spent that morning together, not knowing that it would be the last time they would see each other for more than a decade
There were still times when he unconsciously caressed himself in the places where padfoot liked to leave hickeys, he took a long bath, there was still dried blood on his body, The wound that the premature birth had left took months to heal, so he was not surprised by all the dirt that came out
He doesn't know when he started crying, now that he wasn't focused on his son's health he was able to start thinking about how screwed up his life was
He had no money, his house was falling apart, and he was not sure he had the mental stability to have his little son, and above all, he was alone, Narcissa and Lucius were supportive, but he couldn't depend on them forever
And Black, oh Sirius, Snape never had the chance to tell him about little Regulus, what would Black think of his son? Would he have been happy? Would he been angry with Severus? Would he have taken care of them both? Or would he abandon them, leaving Snape in the same situation he was in right now?
Damn dog who ended up locked up for.....for.....Betrayal, Or at least that's what everyone says, Severus never had a good relationship with any of the Marauders
Apart from Black obviously, who eventually apologized for everything
He was the only one of that group who recognized his mistakes. He couldn't have done something so horrible, could he?

Hogwarts - Present day
Trelawney's class was an absolute pain, Divination was a class that served very few careers, but it was still easier to pass than Ancient Runes
Most of them were only there so they wouldn't spend their weekends learning what each glyph on a wall that someone discovered in a cave a hundred years ago meant. Most of those caves and runes were courtesy of Cygnus Scamander, Sebastian Sallow and Ominis, A Trio of men who had a lot of free time in their youth and an apparent fondness for the old
Two of the students who were there because of the low difficulty were Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter, sitting at the same table, while trying not to close their eyes from sleep
The teacher tried to encourage everyone to try to understand what she called "The Noble Art of Divination", promising that she would discover those with a gift for the art she taught
This first course would be exclusively about reading tea leaves, and despite all the magic Harry had seen over the years since Hagrid took him out of the Dursley's house
He still couldn't understand how some leaves at the end of the cup of tea he had just drank could tell his future, but he was still ignorant about many things, so he decided not to say anything
But as if someone had read his thoughts, Hermione appeared out of nowhere at the same table, — This is pure rubbish — the girl's voice sounded out of nowhere, — When did you appear!? — Ron almost shouted
— Me? I've always been here Ron — Hermione assured, the teacher asked poor Neville if his grandmother was okay, scaring the boy, then she took the cup from a blonde, blue-eyed Ravenclaw girl
— Oh, lucky for you, girl! Pay attention to the songs around you, Love is coming, The prince has an interest in you and your heart — Trelawney said to the girl, who seemed somewhat confused by her words
The teacher continued reading cups and slowly approached Harry's table, — Oh! — Trelawney shouted out of nowhere, scaring Ron, — Your aura indicates death! — he said to the redhead
Ron began to explain what he saw in Harry's cup after the teacher asked him what he saw, Weasley came to the conclusion that Harry would suffer, but he would be very happy for it. The boy with glasses frowned. and he was about to make fun of his friend when his mind drifted to the experience a few days ago
When Harry Potter approached Asterion Snape for the first (and so far, only) time, their eyes eventually met, making his scar prickly like it hadn't in quite some time. However, shortly after the itch, his soul An incredible sense of relief filled him, Harry could even swear he let out a huge sigh of relief
But Ron couldn't refer to that, could he? Why would his future be even remotely connected to Snape's son? The teacher's sudden shout brought him out of his thoughts. He looked at Trelawney intrigued, — Oh, boy, my boy, You have the Grim —
—What is The Grim? — asked some voices behind Harry, — It's the worst omen of all, it's an omen of death —

Regulus Asterion Snape is someone who appreciates education, His mother had always taught him how important it was to pay attention in all his classes.
The Slytherins were known for their ambition, and Asterion knew that he wanted to do many things, however, once he put an end to all his plans, and proved to Dumbledore that he was strong enough for the old man to say yes to his proposal, then there would only be two options
If Asterion didn't survive, (which was likely) then he would leave happy knowing that mom could still do many things in his life, he would live more peacefully, and he wouldn't have to worry about his spy duty
And if Asterion survives, then his only goal is to work, On What? He doesn't care, as long as he earns enough to support his mother, He has no plans to get married or have children
He has never told these things to anyone, not about his plan, not about everything he knows about Voldemort, Not about his plan to create a spell to speak with the dead, Not about what he knows about the Potter boy, Not about his (another) plan
Why? Easy, they wouldn't understand. He tried to talk to his mother about the war, and if he thought Voldemort would return, but Severus told him that he shouldn't think about those things, and that he would make sure that in case of another war, Asterion will not be involved
He then tried to talk to his grandmother Minnie, (Minerva, Regulus, at Hogwarts you must call her Minerva) about how his only dream was to get Snape out of work, but the woman told him that his family's financial situation should not influence his future dreams.
And it is obvious that his grandmother told his mother, since the following week he received a talk about all the potential he had and how he should not settle for little, because he could achieve whatever he wanted. It was obvious that Severus wanted to be subtle, telling him that he shouldn't worry about him, but Asterion was perceptive, he knew that Minerva had told his mother about their talk
That was one of the reasons why he genuinely liked talking to Grandpa Albus, the man gave some good advice, and he knew how to keep secrets, he liked him
Although as for his little family that he had created himself, (aside from mom) when it came to asking for a hug, there was no one like his older brother
He and Draco were always close, as they both grew up quite isolated from the rest of the world, so there was nothing like spending time together
But he's getting off topic, the point of this is that Regulus values education, which is why he felt bad about skipping class today, but he simply had a lot of things to do today, and he felt like the castle was suffocating him
He excelled in every single one of his classes, so one day it wouldn't hurt, tomorrow he'll attend every single one of them and be the best, to the point where no one will question why he wasn't there today
Besides, all the teachers were aware that he was a rather sickly child, so they could assume that he hadn't been feeling well and let it go, He didn't have any potions today, so mom didn't have to know, and he could arrive in time for transformations, so his grandmother won't suspect anything and won't tell mom
He went for a walk into the depths of the forbidden forest, collecting various things that could be useful later, Dragonflies, leaves of specific plants, toad warts, unicorn hair, feathers of some birds, etc
All this time, Asterion felt like he was being followed, but he couldn't see anyone, so he just assumed it was his recurring nervousness and anxiety when doing something forbidden
Once he finished filling his pants pockets with potion ingredients, he still had time before transformations, so he decided to try something else that still wasn't perfect, his animagus form
He had managed to do the mandrake leaf thing a while ago, but it still wasn't perfect, when he transformed, sometimes his heart would race too fast, and many other times it would make him go blind or see blurry for several minutes, he had to work on that
He put his ingredients and his wand in his robe, and put it next to a tree, he took off his green tie and breathed for a few seconds, then he concentrated as best he could. He took his animagus form, he was a small Grim puppy, black as Night and quite large for a normal dog, but still small for a Grim, however, what the boy feared happened
When he transformed, he couldn't see anything, and he felt his heart speed up, he shook his furry head and started to whine a little, he transformed back into a human trying to moderate his heart rate, but everything was still blurry
He was agitated and his vision was not clear, so when he saw a rat approaching him, he thought he was hallucinating, so he transformed again, this time he did not go completely blind, but he did see even more blurry
Therefore, his heart stopped when he saw the rat turn into a fat, red-haired man. The man took Asterion's wand and pointed it at the boy. Asterion didn't know if he was still hallucinating or if there was really a man in front of him with every intention of murdering him in cold blood, He didn't even recognize the man, Why would he want to kill him?
— No! No! You're not real! — The man shouted, — Get away from me Padfoot! You'll never catch me! You won't take me to them! — he continued shouting
Who was the man? Who was Padfoot? What was this madman talking about?
Asterion still couldn't see, so he did the first thing that occurred to him and pounced on the stranger, Snarling and biting, as the man attacked him with basic spells, the man threw him against a tree after Regulus bit his ear hard
Asterion's head hit the tree hard, and the small dog let out a cry of pain, but he quickly recomposed himself and went around the tree to attack the man who was recovering from the pain in his back.
He aimed all his bites at the man's neck, at the jugular, the redhead kept casting spells that Asterion managed to avoid, the puppy still couldn't see well, therefore there were spells that hit their mark
After a particularly strong bite, the man's face was filled with fury, — Crucio! —- shouted the old redhead
The puppy screamed loudly in pain, writhing on the ground while the man took the dog's torture as pleasure, taking advantage of those seconds to recover, the boy in his mind screamed again and again, but as a dog he could only cry loudly
He started to cry, why were these things happening to him? He just wanted to go out and enjoy the day and practice his skills. He had never hurt anyone, Why was he getting attacked? MOM! He screamed in his mind
I WANT MY MOM!, the puppy repeated to himself over and over again, which made his dog cry louder, Mom!, where are you?
The man couldn't run, Regulus had bitten his leg quite hard, so he needed a few minutes to try to move it.
Asterion thought among all the pain that he had to get his wand back, so as soon as the pain stopped a little, little Snape transformed back into a human
He was still partially blind, and in pain, his uniform was stained with blood, but he was able to lunge at the man and begin to struggle for the wand, he hit the man several times in the nose, causing him to bleed and stain his uniform with blood, and the boy can swear he knocked out a tooth
The man eventually got the boy off of him, Asterion kicked him directly in the face, causing him to back away and hit a tree, — Get away Padfoot! Get away! Get away! Get away! You're not going to hand me over! You're not going to hand me over! — The man shouted over and over again as he pointed the wand at the boy
Little Snape didn't know what the man was talking about, and frankly he wasn't interested anymore, he just wanted to get out of this alive
What Asterion didn't know was that throughout his battle and expedition, his hair had become disheveled, and his skin had turned a little red from the sun, making him look completely like Sirius Black in his youth, Just like he didn't know that his Animagus form was a small version of Padfoot
— Confringo! — the man shouted, but the boy, after what happened when he was only four years old, not only had to receive early Occlumency classes, but his relatives (especially Grandpa Albus, Mom and Uncle Lucius) began to teach him wandless spells, fearing that what happened would be repeated (Which unfortunately, it was repeated)
Mom always said that the first step in combat is defense, so that was the first wandless spell he learned, — Protego! — the boy countered, deflecting the spell, it also helped a lot that since it was his wand, the spells were cast with less power
— Expulso! — the boy shouted, but the man covered himself with a shield
Unfortunately for them, due to how deep they were in the forbidden forest, all the commotion attracted the attention of two Gigantic spiders probably Aragog's offspring.
The man, seeing himself surpassed by the child, launched an empire in the largest spider which immediately targeted Asterion, — Sectumsempra! — shouted the boy, tearing off some of the spider's legs, — Reducto! — the boy shouted again, killing the first spider Regulus turned towards the man, seeing that he was being attacked by the other Spider, although an Avada kedavra was enough to finish it off
Before the man could even react, the boy threw himself at him, finally taking his wand away
Some grunts were heard behind them, they were both tired and Regulus still couldn't see well, but they both saw the angry horde of spiders approaching them
The man was the first to run, and Asterion had to cast several, Reducto, Bombarda, Diffindo and Sectumsempra to be able to run too, he even used a special spell that shrank the spiders to the size of babies so that he could step on them, the latter particular spell he didn't know what it was called, or how he had used it, Asterion only felt deep concern and a sensation of electricity in his body before unconsciously casting the spell
He wasn't going to let the guy get away without killing him, so Regulus transformed back into Dog and took off after the man, following his scent. It didn't take him long to find him and he launched himself at his neck, he no longer had the energy to transform, so his only option was to cut his throat like a dog, he gave him a strong bite on the neck and the man drew strength from all the adrenaline of the moment to push and smash the little dog against a rock
Asterion stood up one last time, but before he could do anything, a larger dog appeared, advancing its entire body on top of the man, this was an adult Grim, fully formed, he looked malnourished, but had blue eyes, just like those of Asterion
The man turned pale, probably thinking that he had gone crazy, when he saw two completely identical dogs in front of him, so much so that the coward turned back into a rat, (a very injured rat) and misled the larger dog to then flee, Regulus assumed to the castle, since he wouldn't survive in the forest
The adrenaline finally wore off, so all the pain finally hit the puppy, causing him to collapse and fall silent, beginning to cry
The bigger dog approached him, confused and worried, he started to sniff him, and let out a sad whine when he realized how hurt the puppy was, he couldn't do much, so he started licking some of the little dog's wounds, as well as his head, as if the larger dog was trying to comfort the smaller dog and alleviate some of his pain
He even lay down next to him, sniffing him and letting the puppy hide in him, he continued licking his little head and ears, trying to comfort him, while the little dog's cries calmed down little by little
Something about the bigger dog gave him peace of mind, somehow, he knew that he wasn't going to hurt him, it was probably because the big dog just thought that Asterion was a simple puppy, and not an Animagus, besides, the bigger dog was not healthy, he was malnourished and he stunk, he even seemed sad, could Regulus help him? Secretly take him to the castle and cure him?
While the larger dog had a weird feeling about the puppy, hearing him squeal broke his heart more than it should, and he was seriously considering transforming into a human and carrying the puppy to a place where he could be cared for
The adult Grim wanted the cub to stay with him, he didn't want him to leave, and he wanted to make sure that his wounds healed completely and that he was fully recovered
Why do I feel so attached to you? It's just my empathy, right? They both thought at the same time
The larger dog stood up, and nudged the puppy with his snout, The adult Grim decided that he would take the smaller dog to a cave to heal
—Who is there? — A voice shouted, Both dogs realized that there was a group of students approaching, in the fight with the rat, they had approached the outskirts of the forest, and it was time for animal class for the third years
Both dogs got scared, They can't catch me, they thought at the same time, so they ran off, thinking the other dog would follow them, not realizing that they actually ran off in different directions.
And by the time they noticed it, they were too far away, "It's okay," they both thought, "I shouldn't involve him in all this"
Needless to say, Asterion didn't make it to class.

Minerva Mcgonagall is a very perceptive woman, and she is someone who can do more than one thing at a time
And one of the things she constantly does is take care of Snape, yes, the big one and the little one, that's why when Asterion didn't show up for her class, she and her maternal sense immediately realized that something was wrong
She knew the boy had health problems, so she was immediately worried that something had happened to him and Regulus, stubborn as he is, wouldn't have said anything
She left her homework for the day and left the classroom, heading to the charms class
— Professor Flittwick — Minerva called, — Can we talk for a second? —
The little professor left his classroom, —Professor! Good afternoon, what brings you here? — The teacher questioned
— I won't take up much of your time, professor, I just want to know if Asterion Snape attended class today —
— Well no, I didn't see him, but you know, because we were informed of his health problems, I thought he simply felt bad and asked Snape for permission to be absent —
— Thank you for your time professor, it was all I needed — Flittwick returned to his classroom after Minerva began walking down the hallway
— I hope you have a good excuse for not attending, Reggie — Mcgonagall said to herself
She knew it wasn't due to health problems, because if so, then Severus would have warned her that Asterion won't be attending, and it would even have been likely that Snape would have asked for a replacement and the day off to spend the day with his son
She was walking to potions class when she ran into Remus Lupin, — Professor, is everything okay — Remus asked. — I don't think so, your friend's little offspring skipped classes — Minerva mocked
—Did Asterion skip your class? — Lupin asked, — Not just my class, all his classes today — Mcgonagall answered
— Well, teacher, have you forgotten whose son he is? Surely he is fine and he just didn't want to go —
— Lupin, you don't understand, that child needs to be under constant surveillance, and from what I see he left the castle — the woman responded worriedly.
— What? Surveillance? Why? — The man answered, now also worried
— Oh Remus, I already told you that I'm not the one to tell you everything, but if you're so worried, come with me to talk to Severus — Minerva offered, and Remus followed her without hesitation
They arrived in a flash at the potions class, where Severus was just leaving, he had just finished his last class of the day, he immediately noticed that they were coming to talk to him, and he stiffened somewhat because of Minerva's expression
— What's happening? — he asked with his characteristic deep voice, — Asterion didn't go to class — Mcgonagall blurted out bluntly
Remus noticed that Snape's face changed out of nowhere, he lost what little color he had and showed concern, even though Lupin was there — What? Why? And do you know where he is? Did he leave the castle? Have they located him yet? Did you see if he went to the infirmary? — Severus bombarded the other two adults with questions as the three headed to the infirmary to see if the boy was there
Remus had never heard Snape speak so quickly, his sarcastic and disinterested tone had completely disappeared, Lupin turned to look at Snape, but instead of the cold potions master, he only saw a mother worried about his child.
He really loves him, Remus thought, they left the dungeons quite quickly, and when they were near the great hall, they saw the other professors approaching them quickly
—There they are! Dumbledore needs us all — said Professor Sprout. — Why? — Minerva responded worriedly,
— They found a large trail of blood in the forbidden forest — Flittwick answered quickly
Minerva and Severus shared a look of utter terror, and Snape had to fight not to hyperventilate right then and there
Merlin, please no.
