Summary
When she saw her staring, she grinned. Like a shark flashing her teeth, having smelt blood in the water. She waved at her, with her whole body, eyes a pit of darkness. Chiaki had swallowed. They should have sparkled, twinkled, but there was nothing to her but night. She saw nothing in her, to her. Like looking into a pit. Whatever universe Mikan could see, blushing face and stuttering, Chiaki Nanami could not grasp it.“Hello, Nanami-senpai.” She said. “I've heard a lot about you.”Chiaki Nanami always knew Junko Enoshima would kill her.[Danganronpa Femslash February Day Twenty-Four: Pre-Tragedy.]

Chiaki Nanami always knew Junko Enoshima would kill her.

When she first saw her, her breath caught. She was beautiful, yes, and Mikan's blushing, adoring face made it clear that everyone else saw it, too. But more than that, Chiaki Nanami was struck by her eyes.

Empty. Like a blackhole.

It was like looking at a monster. Something Chiaki couldn't fathom, something pitiful and sad and horrid with it. The hair on her neck prickled. She looked at her, those hollow eyes, and fell in love.

Chiaki Nanami always knew Junko Enoshima would kill her.

Whatever universe Mikan could see, blushing face and stuttering, Chiaki Nanami could not grasp it.

“Hello, Nanami-senpai.” She said. “I've heard a lot about you.”

Chiaki Nanami always knew Junko Enoshima would kill her.

She laughed, a little. Covering her mouth with her hand. Tucking her teeth behind her lips.

“What did you hear?”

“Only good things.” She promised. “You're beloved, aren't you?”

Chiaki Nanami swallowed. “Maybe.” She agreed, unease settling uncomfortable in her stomach.

Junko leaned in, and breathed a secret for only her. “I'm going to steal that from you.”

Chiaki Nanami always knew Junko Enoshima would kill her.

But to be kind is to believe. And even in Junko Enoshima, Chiaki Nanami believed. Everyone can be better if they just try. Everyone can become a better person if they only want. They all have that capability, and Chiaki will believe in it until the very end. (The only end this can have.)

Her faith may be forsaken, over and over again. It may led to her demise (over and over again). But she still let's Junko Enoshima take her hand, and lead her away. “Don't you want to find Hinata-kun?”

Chiaki Nanami always knew Junko Enoshima would kill her.

She gives her a chance not to, anyway.
