The Minister too vague and The Weasleys too much too many
Today
blinding pain is the first thing he wakes up to, well just pain the blindness is probably caused by his lack of glasses but still all his muscles were sore like he'd just ran a marathon
anyway reaching to unconsciously push his glasses back up ,there just not there
Wait harry swore he had them on just moments ago before dreamt of blowing up up his aunt it was a lovely dream really no fresh on his mind it almost felt real-
"Shit" harry doesn't even realise he said it as he looks up and notices he's not in privet drive anymore
Magic is practically dozing out of the walls and he can feels it even though the room looks like it has seen better days with peeling paint and dirty floors, a door that looks a strong puff of wind away from falling over windows covered in old and smelling even worse a desk that has there legs and the minister magic sitting a chair ,the mattress itself is.. wait go back.holy shit the minister is magic is sitting on a desk sitting in front of him.
"Well shit is quite the accurate term for your situation right now but don't be tellin the missus I've been swearing infant of children now" he says with a kind smile that is sickly sweet ,his voice dripping with fake amusement and maybe even fear.
"Im so sorry minister please it was accidental magic in swear "harry pleads just on the edge of begging
he would ,if fudge asked him to .Anything.And he means anything to stay at Hogwarts ,he can't be sent back to a literal murderous Vernon
He wouldn't survive going back to privet drive
"now now why would we be doing any of that "is the cryptic reply he gets, the shock and confusion on harry face clear "I heard about the little accident and had the aurors send you straight to Mungos to see if your all then ordered you a room personally just to be safe" thank fuck for that harry would've asked more about why but he didn't want to push his luck by pissing him off and too stressed out the question anything good that came to him at this moment
he could figure the rest out later
He guesses being the chosen one must have one benefit and by Merlin himself is he going to use it.
"thank you sir you have no idea how much this means" honestly he was just waffling on right now with the too quick pace of emotion he was ready to pass out again and was praying the minister leave so he can..well he might throw something later but he should probably figure out where he actually is first
Just when he was about to ask the fudge stands to leave ,by the door that creaks like he expected it too, and as he was leaving he quickly remembers "oh this is just a room at leaky cauldron ,tom downstairs should sort you out with everything but if you havent already I would suggest getting your things for Hogwarts ,I mentioned this to Dumbledore who suggested inviting your friends so expect the Weasleys to show tomorrow and help but I would suggest Gringotts when you are alone get your key ,no matter what ,"the look fudge gives him is one so full of implication and seriousness that he doesn't know how to respond but it seems the minister was not looking for one.
And he just leaves.
Yeah.Okay then.guess harry will take a trip to Gringotts tomorrow.Though he doesn't understand why there's suddenly that feeling again but its stronger like he's doing something right and he has to keep going.it sounds crazy he must be going insane.Nothing is going to happen he's gonna get his key or whatever if the man who got him out of expulsion asked him too
"Nothing is going to happen"he mumbles to himself tired enough to just fall back to sleep but somehow he doesn't fully trust it.
Well what can u do but go and check it out is all his griffyndor mind tells him.

"HARRY!!!!"Someone screeches which when harry does the gruelling task of getting out of bed realises it Hermione and groans.
Merlin he's tired and completely not ready for a day of Weasley shouting matches were the aim has to be to break his eardrums, and the lecture he's bound to get from Hermione about blowing up his aunt.But seriously he doesn't think you can get annoyed about escaping that.honestly they're all batshit half the time.
But the second he has the thought something forces him to feel guilty ,they are his best friends and were the first people he ever met and spoke to asides from the Dursley's ,so he can get over it.
"yeah yeah I'm getting up now" Harry responds just rushing to get out and finish the school stuff
Theres only one place he wants to go to anyway.
"Hurry up harry there serving breakfast and I'm missing it"Ron shouts from downstairs but decided food was more important and left.
"Honestly harry how do you get anything done always sleeping and being lazy,"Hermione moans from outside his room "did you do any of the summer school work? it incredibly important and you know our owls are closing in and-" if harry got a chance to answer, which he didn't ,it seemed Hermione did not see the point in breathing between words, he would say he did not get to he would say he did finish it and quit was he could as he snuck in his work before Vernon could burn it
But he wouldn't tell her that, he's a good friend and lets her be the smart on she loves to praise she is.
He was genuinely excited to see the Weasleys ,they were beginning to be the adoptive family he wished he had and he missed them all over the summer.thinking of all the pranks the twins would do on Dudley and the food Mrs Weasley makes that even the smell was better then anything petunia could dream of.
just before he leaves he brushes his teeth , changes into some hand me down and pets Hedwig the smart girl just always knew where he was, he leaves Hermione to talk her way through the walk down and stays silent while eating going unnoticed as they leave.
But just as he's saying goodbye to tom the barman he feels eyes on him following the group of redheads.he ignores it as Ron signals him to stare at the new firebolt racing broom through the window
harry was waiting, mostly impatiently to buy it as soon as he came out and planned on splurging just a bit for once so when he saw it displayed he was running as fast as was socially acceptable to pick one up.the man at the counter saw him easily and pushed him to the front claiming Harry Potter would be getting a discount and would not take all of the money.
leaving the shop smiling bursting with excitement he rushed to show Ron who had suddenly turned sour and bitter in an instant.harry had kinda expected this but didn't know why Ron would be so annoyed at him getting the every seeker dream broom.Ron wasn't even a seeker.
he tried to get him to cheer up by saying he could use it but that had only marginally worked as he still had a very jealous mood the whole time that seemed to spread throughout everyone as they all looked at him with barely hidden annoyance and Hermione had even whispered"I don't know why you bought that thing its ridiculous and you know how Ron is ,showing it to him was just cruel"
Still the rest had seemingly forgot about it as they carried on walking getting all the books uniforms and random bits for potions and despite the broom incident and the fact he thought someone was following at the start, the trip was pretty normal as much as Diagon Alley can be normal, it still amazed him every time he walks through ,a place so filled with magic the streets practically vibrate with it
when they reach the ends of the street closer to Gringotts he turns to starts walking into the bank when the twins suddenly grab him and ask what he want with the goblins
"oh just grabbing my key and some extra galleon for the train"he starts casually hoping to squeeze through ,the twins though look as if he had said he going to get his head chopped of ,somehow looking panicked
"no no I thought Dumbledore had your key , he told mum he should keep it just to be safe"Fred or George says Loud enough for everyone to hear
and now the whole family is looking at him accusingly like he had done something wrong by wanting his own key.Honestly this whole lets not let harry have anything or do anything that he choose was getting annoying
"well I think I get to decide that "harry mentions annoyed and not trying to be subtle anymore and to push past the wall the whole of the measly clan have decided to make.
Ron seems to forgo speaking and instead just grabs him
"Nah mum said you can't there's no point don't worry Dumbledore has got it ,what danger could it be in?"
Now, harry didn't think it was in any danger before this but suddenly he feels as if it could be and he needs to get there as soon as possible
But that seems to be impossible right now with the terror twins acting as body guards
God harry loved the Weasleys but this was excessive.He trusted Dumbledore as much as anyone probably more ,as he sent hawks who saved his life, but it was his key and why were all the Weasleys so adamant honestly harry's just confused and worryingly some part of him that feels something is wrong just keeps leading him to Gringotts and someon.. something else that he can't think of.
But what he does know for sure is that he is going to meet some goblins the second he can get a second alone.
Also, how did Dumbledore even have his key in the first place he is just his headmaster?
What is going on?
