I’m sure that girl is really your friend.

6 years later…
(first of September, 1994)

It had been 4 years since Rosalee had first set foot into Hogwarts, and a lot had changed since then. Now she is in the train to the school, surrounded by new friends. She had been to,d to stop being friends with the people she had met by fellow Slytherins. Now she sits next to her first freinds worst enemy, Draco Malfoy, his hand rested on her thigh, as it had been the last 1 year. She is laughing with her friends Astoria and Pansy. She is pretty happy with her life.

That's what she’s been telling herself for the past couple years, gradually manipulating herself to believe it, that she doesn’t wish that she had been sorted different, that instead of sitting with these people, who still treated her so kindly, she was sitting with her first friends.

She laughs as Pansy makes a joke, Draco sub-consciously begins to rub his thumb in her thigh as he talks to Enzo, Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle.

“I’m gonna go put on my robes, love.” Draco tells her, getting up, she smiles. “I am too.” Pansy tells her, she nods and looks at Astoria, trying her best not to notice the slight smirk that begin to form on Pansy’s face as she followed Draco.

Soon enough they come back, and soon after that the train comes to a halt. She had been quiet since Draco and Pansy left, her mind running at Hundred's of kilometers, she had been telling herself that her boyfriend and best friend would never do that to her since she found a letter addressed to Pansy on Draco’s writing desk this summer when she visited him from Spain, or at least she hoped they would never.

She is brought out of her train of thought when Draco says her name. “Rose, the train is departing, let’s go.” He says, sticking out his hand for her to take, she puts on a smile and takes his hand, he helps her up, planting a soft kiss on her Temple when she got up.

His arm Snakes around her waist, they leave the train together. As they walk to the carriage that takes them to the castle they chat about lots of nothing.

Soon enough they get to the carriage carried by invisible horses called thestrals, she sits next to the wall and Draco, Pansy sitting rather close next to him. She looks at Lorenzo who sat in front of her, who was looking at a random space zoned out.

She grabs draco’s hand and threaded her fingers with hers, As they make their way to Hogwarts, her worries begin to wash away as Draco’s thumb rubs the back of her hand ever so slightly.

As they enter, passing by the new first years. They sat down at the Slytherin table, waiting the coming sorting, and feast. Also excited to hear what big news was coming, she heard draco saying something about his father telling him there was some sort of event this year to all of his friends.

She watches the first years with their looks of amazement as the hat sings, then the sorting begins. There were bout 6 new Slytherins added to the pile this year.

As the sorting some to an end, Headmaster Dumbledore comes up and stands in front of the room.

“I only have two words to say to you.” He says, a kind smile set on his face. “Tuck in.” he tells them, his arms spreading out as the feast appears on the tables through out the hall.

Rosalee begins to put food on her plate, having not eaten at all since this morning.

”Rose, do you want to hang out with us all after the feast?” Lorenzo and Draco turn to her, asking the question that has been asked since 2nd year. And as always her answer was always the same “Yeah.” Rosalee says before taking a bite of turkey with gravy on it.

The feast continues as does the small talk and laughs amongst the group of 4th years.

Once most of the plates had been cleaned, and everyone had been fed (except for Hermione, Rosa noticed, she had refused to eat for unknown reasons). Dumbledore requests everyone’s attention and begins with the usual reminders for the year.

After his usual ramble of yearly reminders had finished, he continued. “It is also my painful duty to inform you that this years inter-house Quidditch Cup will not take place this year.” there is a chorus of what’s and other words Rosa could not make out. She was shocked, she had been the trams beater since second year. But even though people were shocked at this news, Dumbledore continued.

“This is due to an event that will be starting in October, and continuing throughout the school year, taking up much of the teachers’ time and energy — but I am sure you will all enjoy it immensely. I have great pleasure in announcing that this year at Hogwarts —” Dumbledore is interrupted by the rumble of the great hall doors opening. This is what Rosa assumed was the late new DADA teacher. She paid no attention to it and went back to zoning out, bored of the speech and the interruption.

Soon enough Dumbledore introduced him as the New DADA teacher (just as Rosa suspected) Madeye Moody.

But nevertheless Dumbledore continued, “As I was saying, we are to have the honor of hosting a very exciting event over the coming months, an event that has not been held for over a century. It is my very great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year.”

“You’re JOKING!” Rosa heard Fred yell across the hall, she had hidden a giggle, though she would never admit it she had found Fred rather hilarious , even if his pranks were a little out of pocket and his jokes just a little too much at time. “I am not joking, Mr. Weasley,” dumbledore informed him with a smile on his face, he continued to mumble about a joke he had heard this summer before Professor Mcgonagall had cleared her throat, urging him to get back on track.

where was I? Ah yes, the Triwizard Tournament ... well, some of you will not know what this tournament involves, so I hope those who do know will forgive me for giving a short explanation, and allow their attention to wander freely. The Triwizard Tournament was first established some seven hundred years ago as a friendly competition between the three largest European schools of wizardry: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. A champion was selected to represent each school, and the three champions competed in three magical tasks. The schools took it in turns to host the tournament once every five years, and it was generally agreed to be a most excellent way of establishing ties between young witches and wizards of different nationalities — until, that is, the death toll mounted so high that the tournament was discontinued.” He informs, most everybody, including her in the die of their seats to hear about this tournament. Though some were, to put it lightly, Extremely taken aback by a death toll being mentioned. Though most were whispering excitedly to eachother.

“There have been several attempts over the centuries to reinstate the tournament,” Dumbledore continued, “none of which has been very successful. However, our own departments of International Magical Cooperation and Magical Games and Sports have decided the time is ripe for another attempt. We have worked hard over the summer to ensure that this time, no champion will find himself or herself in mortal danger. The heads of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang will be arriving with their short-listed contenders in October, and the selection of the three champions will take place at Halloween. An impartial judge will decide which students are most worthy to compete for the Triwizard Cup, the glory of their school, and a thousand Galleons personal prize money.”

Excited whispers spread throughout the hall, discussions of winning the prize money and what they would do with it.

Dumbledore began to speak again, the hall quieting once more. 9Eager though I know all of you will be to bring the Triwizard Cup to Hogwarts, the heads of the participating schools, along with the Ministry of Magic, have agreed to impose an age restriction on contenders this year. Only students who are of age — that is to say, seventeen years or older — will be allowed to put forward their names for consideration. This is a measure we feel is necessary, given that the tournament tasks will still be difficult and dangerous, whatever precautions we take, and it is highly unlikely that students below sixth and seventh year will be able to cope with them. I will personally be ensuring that no underage student hoodwinks our impartial judge into making them Hogwarts champion.” His light blue eyes twinkled as they flickered over Fred’s and George’s mutinous faces. “I therefore beg you not to waste your time submitting yourself if you are under seventeen.”

Dumbledore finishes with a talk about how we should act when the students from the two other schools arrive, after that he dismisses us to go to sleep. Our group gets up, starting to walk across the hall and to our dungeon talking over our prefect.

”Dumbledore is an old oaf, and the age rule is absolutely ridiculous.” Draco states to all of them, a chorus of nods and agreements come from the group.

”Why would you want to compete anyways? You have more than 100 fold of the that prize money?” Astoria asks Draco. “For the glory, of course.” Draco tells her like it’s the most obvious answer in the world.

After some more conversation about the Triwizard Tournament, we broke off into our own little conversations. Me talking to Astoria.

As we’re talking i see Pansy and Draco walking ahead of us, getting lost in the crowd. Astoria notices something is wrong and asks “Are you okay? You’ve been acting pretty weird towards Pansy since we got on the train.” I turn my attention back to her, surprised that she noticed.

“It’s gonna sound silly,” I pause taking a deep breath in. “but do you ever think that maybe Draco and Pansy are doing something? I mean they’re always sneaking off and around, And i found a lot of letters from Pansy to Draco this summer. I don’t know, i might be over thinking all of it, but i, i just don’t know.” Astoria looks at me shocked, choosing her words wisely in her head before saying.

“I don’t think that Pansy and Draco would do that to you, i mean they might have become better friends this year, but i don’t think Draco would cheat on you, especially with Pansy of all people.” Astoria tells me, laughing at the end, she notices the look of worry was still on my face.

”But if it bothers you that much, you should talk to Draco.” Astoria tells me, a kind smile on her face as she rests her hand on my shoulder. We get to the Dungeons and then our Common room in about that time, going off to get ready for our little hang out.
