Chapter 1
It was finally spring break. Due to the shortness of the break, he didn't go home, prompting to stay in his quarters at Hogwarts. Instead of grabbing new clothes from the closet in his quarters, he decided to just take off his robes, leaving him in his t-shirt and pants. Severus definitely not someone who was easy to scare, and it wasn't unusual to see and even talk to the magical ghosts around Hogwarts. That's because he knew them, and he knew how they got there. Though, he had seen one in specific that scared him, and he wasn't exaggerating when he said it was disturbing.
It had appeared to be a young boy, neck crooked and messed up. His skin was a dark greyish blue, and he face looked beat.. Whenever he opened a closet it was a 50/50 chance he would see the boy, and he just didn't like the sight of a dead kid. He had talked to mcgonal about it, and she couldn't get rid of it with magic either. No matter that, he just had to grade a couple more tests, and he'd be good to relax in silence or read for the rest of the break.
He took a couple minutes to grade the last test left. God, the kids were so stupid... It was such an easy subject to learn! Snape set the paper in the graded pile, standing up. He walked over to the closet, opening the door quickly. He almost jumped out of his skin, seeing the ghost boy sitting in his closet once again. He slammed the closet door shut with a sigh. He was being so childish, he though. It was just a ghost, nothing he hasn't seen before! He talked with them before, too! Then again, once demanding to the other ghosts to tell the boy to stop, they admitted that they didn't know who he was, and that he wasn't of magic origin. He was of something much darker. The thought make his pale skin crawl.
He slowly re-opened the closet door to look inside, and when finding nothing there, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He took out a different black t-shirt and some black shorts to get changed into. It was getting a bit late after all, and he wanted to relax and read. As he walked to the bathroom with his clothes draped over his arm, he ran a free hand through his greasy black hair, closing his cold black eyes for a moment as he walked.
Snape made sure to get quickly changed, ready to enjoy the week or two he got of peace and quiet; not having to worry about chaotic kids running about the school and fighting. He went over to his bookshelf with a huff, debating on which book would be a more interesting read. He ended up choosing some random book he hadn't even noticed before, walking over to his bed and getting in it. He read for around three hours before going to bed at around 11pm. ;p
