Annoying Snake
What a great way to greet your roommate.
Winter raised her head, a glare obvious on her gaze at the Slytherin standing in front of her. "You." She said, her tone full of venom.
"You ruined my clothes! This robes cost more than your worn out headphones!" She said, disregarding her robes, throwing it to a nearby bed which she assumed was hers.
She strides herself towards the girl, pushing the prankster's shoulder. "How dare you do this to a Malfoy, you- you-"
"Calm down. It's just a prank." Someone else said, she looked at the newcomer. This girl had black hair, just like this prankster in front of her yet this one appeared to be more calm and composed.
Winter watched intently, her anger still there yet she didn't move. Waiting for this newcomer to say something before she does and decide to get her own room like her brother has.
"Just cast a spell, you'll be all dolled up." The prankster scoffed as she stood up and dusted away nothing from her robe. "So you're a Malfoy, huh?"
"Clean my clothes." Winter said instead, causing the prankster to chuckled at the her order. "I'm serious, don't laugh." Winter warned.
The prankster rolled her eyes and reached for her wand, pointing it at Winter who raised an eyebrow. Curious to what will this prankster do.
The girl uttered something under her breath, swishing and flicking her wrist as she pointed her wand to Winter. Winter froze. Her body getting envelope in a warm and windy feeling.
Did this prankster cast a spell?
Winter watched as her clothes began to dry up, her hair getting a bit puffy. A greenish like magic circling her like it was cleaning and blowing her at the same time. Then it stopped.
"What was that?" Asked a dumbfounded Winter Malfoy.
"Magic, duh." The prankster rolled her eyes and slumped back onto the bed, setting her wand away and sighing in content. "Magic... What spell?" Winter inquired.
"Uh, my father made it. It's a simple spell to clean someone up." The girl said while the calm girl on the other side unpacked her belongings. Winter could only guess that this person was clumsy, considering... The bandages and her knowledge of the earlier spell.
"What's your name?" Winter asked as she slowly calmed down. Setting aside her annoyance to make way for intrigued.
"Me? Oh I'm Ryujin!" The girl, 'Ryujin', rose from her bed. Grinning like an idiot as she stood up and introduced herself. "Shin Ryujin, daughter of the house of Shin's." She beamed.
"And you?" Winter turned to the other girl, the calmer one. "Giselle." The girl stated. "Giselle Uchinaga."
"Well nice to meet you guys." Winter hums, not bothering to introduce herself since she basically just yelled her name earlier.
Winter moved to her side of the room, sitting on her bed and letting out a sigh. She recalled of what happened today.
First, she was sorted to Slytherin. A given. Then she ate... And went here. Got pranked and was somehow still functioning with this people she met, Ryujin, the prankster and this calm Giselle person.
...
Did she forgot something? Oh yeah, that strange girl from Gryffindor. How could she forget her possible new entertainment? She smirked before her mind was interrupted with a crash.
"Whoops." The girl, Ryujin, mumbled unapologetically as Winter's eyes widen. Her owl! That stupid girl let her owl out! "Ryujin!" She yelled, anger filling her voice.
She tried to catch her pet owl but it was too late, the owl had already flown out the window to Salazar knows where. "Willow!" She tries to call yet the owl didn't return.
She felt furious.
She was supposed to write something to her mother and now how will she do that with her pet gone?!
Winter turned around, facing the girl who just shrugged. A simper on her lips, Winter could pounce on her. It wasn't lady-like at all.
"You! That's it! I've had enough of you!" Winter says, taking out her wand and pointing it at the girl. Hexing her and shutting the girl's mouth once and for all.
Ryujin's eyes widen and it turned to a glare in a matter of minutes. She tried to speak but nothing came out. Dead silence filled the room.
"Well that's straight to detention." The calm girl hums, amused at the situation in front of her. Winter's head snapped to turned to the girl. "You will not utter a word about this or I'll tell my Father."
"You will not."
"I will."
"Will not."
"Will!"
"Not!"
"My father could get you expelled from Hogwarts, Uchinaga!" She retorted that made the girl pause and shut her mouth. "That's what I thought."

After that incident, Winter kept her distance with the two. She's already un-hexed Ryujin and she still doesn't care by the way. For all she cares, she could keep the hex and she wouldn't even care about it.
Willow, the owl, has been spotted near the courtyard. Winter immediately tended to it and kept it on her room, petting it and whispering apologies.
Ryujin scared her pet.
She's furious at the girl.
She sat on her bed, the two hasn't gone back yet. That was great for Winter's side, she could get her alone time.
The humming of the night, crickets cricketing and the wind blowing was enough to fill and distract her mind with everything. She felt at ease.
Until she wasn't.
The door creaked, Ryujin and Giselle entering with smiles and a conversation setting with both of them. Winter didn't care, she doesn't want to.
"Go back to your cage, Willow." Winter whispered to her owl, opening the cage with a half smile as the owl flapped it's wings to get inside. Willow let out a hoot as Winter shut the cage.
"Go to sleep, I'll need my own sleep as well." She says and settled on her bed, dragging the blanket over her body and ignoring her roommates' laughter.
It's annoying, so annoying. She stayed in that position, her eyes slowly flickering close. Her breath slowing down.
"Do you think she's annoying?"
What? Winter's interest was suddenly piqued. Her eyes went back wide and her breath hitched yet she choose to shut up and listen. "Annoying?" Giselle asked in a whisper.
"Yeah. I mean, she's definitely a spoil rich pure-blood who probably has nothing better to do." Ryujin chuckled a bit and Winter could hear a ruffling of sheets. They were probably getting ready for bed.
"Perhaps. But I still pity her." Giselle said and Ryujin scoffed. "Pity? How so?" The girl asked as another ruffle of sheets were heard. "I mean, she doesn't have any friends."
"Yeah she does?" Ryujin said. "In our year, I mean." Giselle answered. "So? What's that got to do with us?" Ryujin huffed and Winter could swear, she heard a pillow being thrown at the girl.
"Think nicely for once." Giselle rolled her eyes. "Let's just get sleep."

The next morning came. Winter's night was terrible. Very terrible. She figured out that Ryujin found her annoying and Giselle pitied her. Great night.
Winter woke up first and saw the two laying down on their respective bed. Ryujin's body was somehow on the ground, with her legs up in her bed and her head down. Uncomfortable position in Winter's view.
Giselle was more comfortable, Head tucked underneath her blanket and she was curled up. I guess she's cold. Winter thought.
She stood up, stretching and yawning before searching for her slippers. Once she found them, she made her way towards the bathroom. Off to get cleaned up before going to her classes.
Minutes passed as she stood in front of the mirror, sighing at the sight. She had patched up bruises, some of those were from her father. Lucius.
That man was cold, grey and mean. He put Winter to extreme lessons, wanting her to be perfect from top to bottom. He wanted his only daughter to be perfect.
It's impossible, no one was perfect.
So in return, she got this bruises from a charmed bracelet. Winter saw him as monochrome, nothing else. No color whatsoever, he was... Bland and cold in her eyes.
The bracelet would tighten around her wrists, it didn't help that it had thorn like feature. At least her father isn't here to activate it, she's grateful for that.
She lets out a sigh before straightening her back and walking herself out of the bathroom. She was changed.
She wore the same uniforms that Slytherin students had. A grey blazer with the emblem of the house the pupil is in which in her case is a Slytherin. She had a plain white shirt and a silver and green tie, with a grey knitted v-neck jumper, a gymslip with a pleated skirt.
She hums, the clothes weren't that bad. In fact, it rather felt comfortable. Far more comfortable from the other dresses she has to wear for family dinners or gatherings or any meetings for that matter.
She strode herself out of the bathroom, walking towards her bed and taking her bag and schedule all the while the other two seemed to find their conscious.
Ryujin fell, she fully fell down. Giselle sighed and yawned, sitting up and fixing her disheveled hair.
Salazar, her roommates were idiots. She shook her head, looking at the paper she was given to for her classes. A small map of the castle that will most likely get thrown away later on.
Once out of the room, not even bothering to wait for the two. She made her way downstairs where her brother awaits her with the other Slytherin friends of his.
The squeak of someone reached her ears. "Oh my god, no! I DON'T FaNcY somebody!" Her brother all but yelled, mocking the word 'fancy' as he rolled his eyes.
Winter sure knew he was fancying someone but she isn't entirely sure who. "Oh hey, Win." The girl with jet black hair waved at her, that's Pansy, right? Winter wasn't really good at names.
"Morning." She greeted coldly, something her brother definitely noticed if not for knowing her for all his life. "Something wrong? You sound too cold, Midget." He says.
"Yes, just didn't sleep well last night." Winter shows a quick smile, walking towards him. It was half truth, her night was terrible, knowing her roommates didn't like her was the epitome of it.
Draco knew his sister well but didn't want to bother her more so instead of poking on, he just shrugged and nodded. "Well let's get to breakfast." He says with a warm smile.

Once they've arrived and seated, the others wasted no time in eating. Putting different dishes in their plates like Winter was doing right now.
Winter likes eating. Although her father wanted her to stay thin and skinny, and today. She could eat more than she usually does in breakfast, her brother surely won't stop her, right?
"Eat as much, Win. Father isn't here, and as much as I wouldn't want to disobey him by looking after you. You rarely eat a lot back at home so now, eat." He smiles, patting Winter's head.
Winter smiled and nodded, returning to gather what she wants and can eat.
As the first food entered her mouth, a hum escaped her and a smile formed on her lips. It was tasty, something her father didn't want her to eat other than grass— well it's a salad but still. It counts.
She kept on eating, munching and talking with the others from time to time. Until something in the corner of her eye caught her attention.
A rushing Gryffindor, running towards their table with a laughing girl at tow. Winter smirked, remember her inner dialogue from yesterday's sorting.
She smiled and kept watching the girl make her way to their table, panting and chuckling as the other girl— Winter didn't care to know— told her something that made the Gryffindor chuckle.
Winter continued to eye the girl, not until a nudge was hit on her arm. She looked at the blond beside her with a frown. "Why?"
"Oh nothing. It's just.. it's only been the first day of you attending Hogwarts and you've already developed a crush." Her brother teased, taking a bite off his apple.
"Excuse you?" Winter huffed in offense. "I have no such interest in a muggle. You of all people should know that." She glares.
"Oh I stopped hating on muggles ever since I became a third year. Father doesn't know though." He chuckled with a shrug.
"Oh shove off. I'm not like you who fancies a certain—"
"Shut up."
"Fine."
A few more time had passed, Winter was already on her way to her first period and unfortunately, Draco and his friends didn't have the same first class so there Winter walked.
Alone and holding her books, on her way towards Herbology. She was humming a tune, in a low tone so no one would hear of course.
But as she passed by a certain alley, she heard a yell. "Get lost!" Said a rather familiar voice. She was about to leave it at that but she heard another utter from someone else entirely. Someone's voice she couldn't recognize.
"So what? Tch, you Slytherins are all the same. Just give it up and give me back my quill." A boy's voice was heard and that made Winter halt.
Turning her body around and walking towards the noise, she was Giselle and Ryujin against the wall. Bags clutched tightly on Ryujin while Giselle stands on guard. The boy crossing his arms in a demanding way.
"What's happening?" Winter raised an eyebrow, heads turning towards her with confusion. "Oh, nothing, Malfoy." The boy dismissed with a small smile of his. Winter would call it charming but at this state, not.
"That's Lady Malfoy to you, Gryffindor." She all but said with venom. "Now I asked you a question and you'll answer. What is happening?" She repeated her question.
The boy gulped, nervous and a bit afraid perhaps. "Lady Malfoy..." He started, voice shaky. "Uh, this two had stolen my things." He pointed at the two then the two bag Ryujin held.
"Those are theirs. I've seen it earlier." She said. "They aren't stealing. How can they? They're Pure-bloods who has money...unlike... you." She rolled her eyes. "Run along before I tell my Father to ask the headmaster to expell you."
"Y-yes." The boy said, glaring at Ryujin and Giselle before running away. Winter huffed in annoyance and walked away, not assessing the two.
She walked until she heard another pair of footsteps just next to her, a grinning Raven haired and a content smiling brunette. Ryujin and Giselle were following her.
How she hated it.
U•וU
The following days was hell for Winter. The two had basically adopted themselves to her, it was annoying. So annoying that Winter had to hide from time to time.
She would hide in closets, classrooms and even in spots in the library. Although she hates that Ryujin and Giselle have been following her, there was something telling her that it was okay.
Has she made friends? No.
Are they friends? No.
And that's what's pulling Winter back. She didn't want to be friends with them, heck she'd only find them annoying. "Malfoy!" Ugh, there they go again.
"Dude, it feels like she's always on the run." Ryujin muttered beside Giselle who shrugged and sighed. "Maybe we should just leave her alone." She suggested.
"Heck no! She's so cool. Who would want to miss an opportunity like that?" Ryujin all but grinned from ear to ear while Giselle just sighs. "Earlier you said she was annoying."
"And?"
"And now she's all cool? Ryu, you need to get your head fixed." Giselle shook her head and walked first with her eyes focused on her book.
"Call me when you find her, by that I'm sure you wouldn't—"
Clash.
"Giselle, Found her." Ryujin grinned, arms crossed as she helped Giselle stand up just because she bumped into a frowning Winter.
