Chapter 1
Anon practically ran to RiNG with a small piece of paper in her hand. She wanted to share with her bandmates what their new sponsor had granted them.
“Tomorin~” Anon greeted Tomori.
“Anon-chan, good afternoon…”
“Good afternoon! Where are the others, Tomorin?”
“Taki-chan said she had to change her uniform. I haven’t been able to talk to Soyo-chan… I think she’s busy with something?”
Anon pouted.
“Uh… it’s not fair! Just when I have something important to talk to them, none of them show up! Well, except for Rāna-chan, she’s always elusive.” Anon watched Taki approach them after work.
“Ah, Rikki! Over here!”
Taki sat down in her usual spot, sighing.
“What’s wrong?”
“You see, I told you I got a sponsor, right?” Taki and Tomori nodded.
“I hope it was a worthwhile sponsor. I remember last time you wanted a fast food place to be our sponsor.”
“But Rikki! It was a perfect sponsor! Just think, our faces in the big shopping malls, showing us to the public!”
“No. They would associate us with something that’s not healthy at all.” Taki sighed, frustrated. “Just spit it out. Who’s our new sponsor?”
Anon smiled and pulled out a small piece of paper from his pocket. “Ta-da!”
Taki narrowed her eyes, trying to recognize what Anon was holding in her hand. “What is it?”
“A camping site!”
Taki sighed again. “You can’t be serious…”
“Huh? Why not? They’re our new sponsor!”
“And what does our band have to do with the camping site?”
“I don’t know? But it’s perfect!”
Tomori agreed with Anon.
“I think Anon-chan is right, Taki-chan…”
Taki blushed and tried to convince Tomori.
“Not to contradict you, Tomori-chan, but don’t you think we could get a more suitable sponsor? A campsite has nothing to do with a band.”
Tomori looked at Anon. “Anon-chan, what did they offer us?”
“They offered us a trial camp!”
Tomori’s eyes sparkled slightly. “A… trial camp?”
Anon nodded. “Yes! They offered us a trial camp for this weekend. We should go!”
“Camping…” Tomori muttered before nodding. “We could see the stars. And… write new songs.”
“That’s right, Tomorin~! So what do you think, Rikki?”
“I say it’s stupid.” Taki changed her mind when she saw Tomori’s head down. “But if Tomori thinks it’s a good idea, then let’s do it. We don’t lose anything by trying, I guess.”
Anon nodded happily. “Okay! Then it’s decided.”
Taki interrupted Anon. “But wait a minute. There are only 3 of us. What about Soyo and the Stray Cat?”
“Ah… I hadn’t thought about that…” Anon took out his cell phone. “I’ll text Soyorin to see what she thinks.”
“We don’t have camping equipment either. Did you even think about that when you accepted the invitation?”
“Ugh… no, I didn’t think about that…”
“I… I think I have money to buy some things.” Tomori said.
“Really? But it can be a lot of money, Tomorin.”
“If you want, I can pay, Tomori-chan!” Taki said, trying to ease the weight off of Tomori. Anon received a message.
“Soyorin replied. It says… ‘I have a tent, if everyone is okay with it I can take it.’” Anon read. “See? We’re ready then!”
“What about the stray cat?”
“Right…” Something flashed in Anon. “We’ll tell her at the next rehearsal!”
“What if she doesn’t agree?”
“Ugh… Rikki, you’re making too many obstacles!”
