Bonding Time-
I can hardly focus on the words on the page before me. My every sense is dominated by him. We sit together, using the coffee table as a desk while working. Close enough for our knees to be touching. I stare at the textbook and its words but am not truly reading. With bated breath, I try to focus on the inked pages and anything that isn't Remus Lupin.
The buzzing of my phone catches my attention. Reaching over the strewed about loose papers and books when suddenly my arm is grasped by a large hand. Remus didn't even look up when he grabbed me. It takes a moment for him to realize what he just did. Looking up, he starts to tell me that he's just used to having to keep Sirius or Potter off their phones. Laughing it off, I tell him it's okay.
Seeing the names on my phone before clicking it open tells me where to go. I maneuvered to the group chat with my girls and me. I stare at the words silently in disdain as I read the multiple text bubbles between the two girls.
"Have fun on your date Eon!" Is sent from Elle.
"He's not going to be checking his phone mid-tongue wrestle, Elle." is from Jo. After it updates, I don't bother to reply to say that I read the texts. I let out a hard breath before placing my phone on its face beside me on my left side.
Returning to the textbook, I start tuning out any outside data. That is until Remus speaks again. His tone is sarcastic as he signs his name on the top of his essay. "Would Ewing approve of us being so close?" He side-eyes me as he says this. I breathe out forcibly before responding.
"Even if we were still together, she wouldn't mind it." This gets him to tilt his head towards me.
"You two separated?" I nod as I make eye contact with him. Green molding with brown. I see the emotions cross his face before settling again to hide everything as best as he can. A single brow raises on my features before he makes a split-second decision.
He moves faster than I realize. I feel his lips lock with mine. We mold together perfectly. It's not too slow, yet not too rushed, either. I can feel him move his hands to rest on my waist while mine move towards his shoulders; my hands journey upwards and start to tangle in his hair. I run my hands across the scars on his neck and face.
He presses forward and deepens the kiss, tilting his body towards mine. I can feel his tongue run across my lower lip. We're approaching the climax when suddenly, the door is slammed open. Interrupting our makeout session. We separate immediately and look towards the boy standing in the doorway with his signature wolfish grin staring back at us.
"Did I interrupt you two ladies?" He steps in and closes the door behind him. I lean back on the couch while Remus rolls his eyes at the Black boy. Sirius walks in and flopping onto the sofa behind the two of us. Sirius lies right behind us while I look back at the textbook I was reading before Remus made the first move between us. Sirius seems to be casual about walking in on me and Remus making out, especially for a boy with whom I have shared gentle kisses before.
Remus and I migrate to sit on the couch with Sirius in between us. I decided what we would do for the rest of the night by getting up and grabbing Jo's laptop from the charger. It takes a while before the three of us to agree on a movie. Finally, landing on an 80's slasher.
We naturally moved and leaned into each other as we watched the series of movies. After the first movie ended, I threw the wool blanket over each of us, and we stopped to get snacks and get more comfortable positions.
It's dawn before we know it. Sirius has his head resting on my shoulder while having his arm thrown across Remus' shoulders knocked out. Remus and I start to separate from the shorter boy when it comes time to return to our dorms and prepare for the school day. Remus wakes the boy, who begins to curse him out while half asleep. I secretly take a few photos of the boys struggling together.
"Same time next week, boys?" Comes out of my mouth without a thought as I tidy up the coffee table that still has my and Remus' school work lying mixed together. Remus helps me clean our mess while Sirius slowly wakes up, making it our problem as he stretches out and complains about how he is sore from the position he has been in for so long.
"Sure," Sirius's response is groggy, making me smile at the boy with bedhead hair. Remus stops mid-air and turns to me.
"Next week?" Nodding, I continue to clean. His tone is unsure, almost untrusting. "Sure. Yeah, we could do that. Maybe on a weekend and not on a school night."
"Good point. Next Saturday work for you two?"
—
"So you ended up making out with Remus, and then you and those two boys cuddled together and watched movies on the couch?" Her tone is monotone as she blinks at me as if I were dumb.
"Keep your voice down," I whisper yell to Jo from across the table during breakfast. "Yes, I did." I straighten my back. Elle looks at me with dull excitement and smugness as if knowing this would happen. I watch Jo dig into her backpack and bring out a few galleons. "Don't fucking tell me that you two bet on this." My eyes narrow as Jo begrudgingly hands the money to the blonde.
Elle starts to laugh in my face while Jo radiates irritation. I stare at the two girls on the other side of the table in shock. Just what was this bet? And so I ask, "What was this bet?" Elle's tone when replying to me is as smug as can be.
"We bet on how long it would take for one of you to make the first move." The blonde shrugs with a grin. Letting Jo take the lead in explaining their thought process on this.
"After all, you made the first move on Black a few weeks ago. So it was clear that it wouldn't be long until you and Lupin were intimate with each other." A single brow is raised on Jo's face as she tilts her head a little to the right with a matching smirk.
Rolling my eyes, I change the topic of conversation to try to get away from the incoming snide comments from the two girls. Ever the judgers, those two.
