Avery

"Out of my way!" One of the Slytherins bumped into one of the Hufflepuffs near where Avery was sitting; they pushed her to the ground.

"Aw!"

"Watch where you're going, you fool!"

Avery could not stand this because two Hufflepuff girls and three Slytherin boys are not a fair match. Avery pulled Eve from the ground, and then Eve said thanks to her. Avery looked into the Slytherins.

"I don't want to hurt you boys."

"Yeah? Or you can't?" They had smug faces, as if they were asking for a fight. Avery closed her eyes.

"These threats will do nothing to me. I'm not a Gryffindor or a Slytherin. I am the Head Girl of my house. Do you expect me to just close my eyes when I see this?"

Eaton is a Slytherin; his friend Malvin came to him and whispered in his ear.

"She's Malfoy's fiancée; let it go..."

"I heard they broke up. She's not Malfoy's fiancée anymore," he smirked.

"Yeah, even though she's not Malfoy's fiancée anymore, she's still an Avery. You don't want to mess with that family, mate."

Eaton didn't care and said, "Just because you have the oldest blood, you think you're so great, huh, Avery?!" He's getting close and grabbing Avery's collar. She smirked, and even though the choking by the collar was suffocating her, she put on a big smile, never showing any weakness.

"I didn't say I'm great; I never did, but you are..." Avery said straight to his face.

She smirked, mocking him. When things became like this, she always knew how to handle it, as if she were one of them. She got it from her family, who were all Slytherins.

Then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, "Stupefy!" Someone hexed Eaton, and he flew to the corner of the wall.

She was trying to breathe, and her neck was red now from the choking. She knew she would never hurt the Slytherin boy; she was a Hufflepuff. We do not start the first move to fight; we always choose another way if there is one.

She saw Malfoy come with an angry face towards Eaton. "Do not touch her!"

"Ma...Malfoy, people say you guys broke up already! I didn't come to fight her; she was in the way. I was just playing with a Hufflepuff girl! Stupid house! I would walk myself out if I were sorted into that house!"

Avery said in her mind, "That's why you will never be one of us."

Malvin said, "Are you guys back together, Malfoy?"

Draco just remained silent and glared at them, and they scrambled away and left. Draco turned to see Avery; Avery stared into his eyes while Draco suddenly walked away from her with no words.
