Avery is very proud of her pureblood status but not degrading anyone who isn't she just trying to do her best as part of her family and make them proud.

1.I'm a Proud Avery

House Avery is the oldest wizarding house in England. If the 28 sacred purebloods are listed according to their age, they will be on top; even outside pureblood society, the entire magical world knows the Averys. Each country in Europe is known to have one oldest wizarding family; for Russia, the oldest is known as the Lapins, and for England, it is the Averys.

Everything is perfect about Hermione Avery: pureblood, smart, cunning, beautiful, and ambitious—except she’s a Hufflepuff. Not a Slytherin like most purebloods are. Her older brother, on the other hand, is a Slytherin.

When one of the teachers called her name, the sorting hat was put on top of Avery's head. It screamed Slytherin at first, and everyone clapped happily, welcoming her. Most of them were her brother's friends and Slytherins, but she didn't move from the chair. Instead, she said to the sorting hat,

"Maybe you’re wrong; try it again."  

With a smile on her face, she sat down again after barely standing. The sorting hat then screamed Hufflepuff. She smiled and left the chair with the eyes and smirk of a Slytherin, walking to Hufflepuff house and changing her smile into a nice and sincere smile, very different from before. People did not forget that day when Avery's sorting hat got confused; everyone spoke about it like hot gossip around the school since it was very rare for the sorting hat to make a mistake.

House Avery shares blood with other famous houses, such as Merlin himself and Helga Hufflepuff. Avery knew she would never become the heir of her house since she has an older brother and she’s a girl, so she made a name for herself.

She’s very interested in learning wandless magic, like all powerful wizards. She is also excellent in every subject. She has this crazy idea to do magic without a wand or spells that she keeps a secret from everyone. But she likes to ask and talk to her brother about it and all the possibilities. Her brother kind of knew that she was into it and was very supportive.

There are a lot of things that she wants to achieve in this life; one of them is to be the champion of Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament. It has always been her dream. Her brother was once a champion of Hogwarts. People knew her brother would get chosen because of his blood status, but for her, her brother is one of the most powerful wizards she knows and so is Avery. Unfortunately, her brother lost in the tournament, which made her want to prove to everyone more that House Avery is the strongest wizarding family in England of all time by winning it. She also wants to be the head girl of Hufflepuff after she wins the Triwizard Tournament. She’s very ambitious but not stupid because she knows how to achieve what she wants.

Since she was a little baby, she was already betrothed to Draco Malfoy, a member of the richest family. The Malfoys may not be the oldest wizarding house, even in Paris where they originally came from, but they surely hold power and influence.

Lucius Malfoy is very cunning and knows very well about opportunities; that’s why they’re rich. Since he knew about Avery’s mom's pregnancy with a baby girl, which was Avery, Lucius kept his watch on her since she was in her mother’s womb, hoping she would be a future perfect daughter-in-law for his son Draco. Avery was like this treasure that he wanted to keep; before all the other houses made a move on Avery, he was already one step ahead.
