Afternoon Stroll - James Potter/GN!reader
“James,” you call out, seeing how fidgety he seems this afternoon, with nothing really going on.
His head immediately shoots up to look at you and he breaks into a huge smile, before bounding over to you. “Hey lovey.”
“Wanna go for a stroll with me?”
“I’d do anything with you, darling,” he tells you honestly and you blush hearing him call you darling. He doesn’t call anyone else that and it makes you feel warm inside.
He holds his arm out and you chuckle, linking your arm with his. The two of you just go for a stroll over to the lake, and as you’re walking, you gather up the courage and ask, “James, will you go out with me? Like, on a date?” You pause, but when you don’t hear a response, you carry on, “it’s fine if you don’t. We can just stay friends and forget I even ask-”
I didn’t finish as James leaned down to kiss me. My eyes stayed open for a few seconds until I realised what was going on, that was when my eyes fluttered shut and I reciprocated the kiss in kind.
He pulled back, leaning his forehead against mine, breathing deeply. He moved his mouth down to my ear, and whispered, “does that answer your question?”
You squeak slightly and nods, “it does.”
Once he pulls back, he looks down at you smiling. You cup his cheek, looking up at his lips before guiding him down so you can give him a quick kiss.
“Your kisses are even better than I ever could’ve imagined,” you whisper as he pulls you to him.
