Lily loves James. Despite how she usually acts towards him, there is no one else that she would pick over him. The way his laugh could make anyone else laugh. The way his curly hair always remained pretty even after he woke up. The way his soft brown skin contrasts with the red sweater he loves wearing.
Even though Regulus seems to despise James, he doesn't. He loves how much James cares about him. How perfect he is without even trying. How his straight white teeth shine when he smiles. Contagious is what his smile is.
Both of them simply enjoy being around him. Remus would insist that Lily is head over heels for James. Despite that, he would also agree that Regulus is too.
Regulus sits thinking as always. If he had a dollar for everytime he was in a puzzling situation for no reason, he would be rich. Not every situation had to be serious either. Speaking of Sirius; he was the cause of this issue. Sirius proposed that Regulus should stay afterschool with Remus to finish a project they wanted to work on, which he was fine with. The issue is, Dorcas also wants to stay afterschool so that she and him could catch up on a book report that they’re partners on. Now he has to decide considering the fact that his parents only want him out afterschool once a week. He told Remus he probably wont be able to go, but still he can’t help but feel bad.
“Reg?” James says snapping him out of his thoughts. Regulus forgot he was even there.
“Yeah?”
“What’s on your mind?”
Regulus feels his face grow red. He starts to explain.
“Well,” James starts, getting Regulus’ attention. “What's done is done. Go with Dorcas. Your book report is more important and you can always hang out with Remu later."
“I guess… Thanks, James.”
“No problem, Reg.” James smiles, bright as day.
Lily listens to James ramble on about who knows what. Probably just something he managed to get Hyper Fixated on for some reason.Though it was just a stupid topic she doesn’t care about, she smiles. There is still something to care about. James. He isn’t wearing his usual sweater today unfortunately, however, it‘s still red. It has the Spiderman logo on it in black ink. His main hyperfixation. Lily could listen to him 24/7 everyday if she could. She wouldn’t do that for anyone else though. Just him.
“Wait, so why did (character) do that?” Lily asks, feeding into his ranting.
“It’s actually really funny. So they got embarrassed and tried running away but then…” He rambles on, laughing as he explains. His catching laugh. Lily laughs along as he continues explaining.
No matter what either of them say, Pandora can tell. Those two don’t hang out much, but she can tell.
The way Regulus talks about how much he likes hanging out with Lily because of how sweet she is.
The way Lily point out how cat-like Regulus always is and how she notices how clingy he is with Panda. She wont admit it but she wishes that Regulus would be clingy with her. Well, she would, but only to Pandora.
Pandora knows all. She knows how Regulus likes Lily. She knows how he likes James too.
She knows that Lily likes Regulus, and how she likes James.
And Pandora makes it a hobby to get the three together.
