Chapter 4

Lady Death ran a soft hand through Harry’s hair, murmuring softly to him all the while. After several minutes of this treatment, she carefully detached Harry from her and spoke so that others in the room could hear. “You need not worry, my Reaper’s, I mean no harm to my young one here. He is as precious to me as he is to his circle.”

Harry had no idea what was going on, the last thing he really remembered was finally getting his patronus down and protecting himself and Sirius, and now he’s surrounded by people that feel so safe to him and being held by the only person to ever take care of him when he was hurt. Although going by what he was hearing she was Lady Death, which means that all the times that she has helped him in the past probably meant that he was near death and that is why she showed up.

Harry shifted out of her hold slowly and went over to Bill. He might not really know the oldest Weasley but something told him that it was the right thing to do.

Lady Death watched her child go softly then looked over to Ethan and Alec, the two who would be best suited to explain what was going on to Harry while she did one of the things that she came here to do. “You two will go explain to my child what has happened to him, and what everyone being called here means for him,” she told the Pareya and the Merrow, leaving no questions about whether it was optional or not. “I will go sort out his third while you do that. Do not dawdle, for I will not remain long and I have things to take care of for my child as well before I leave.”

Lady Death made sure that the two dragels were following her orders before making her way over to Sirius.  Ethan and Alec turned to Harry, and Alec was surprised to find that Bill’s fire element didn’t cause too much discomfort to him, and slowly started to explain what had happened while he was unconscious. Alec was especially essential in explaining what it meant to have a mixed element circle that included Merrow, or Aqua-kin’e as he called them. Even more so what it meant that Harry had a connection to the Oceanus line, which was original Aqua-kin’e royalty, and there were only 2 living members of that line left alive other than Harry.

Ethan then explained even more what it meant for Harry to be in a circle with both a Crown Prince and a Prince. While Harry was young, and knew that it would take time for his circle to settle, he could already tell that he would be much happier than he had ever been before.

A smirk appeared on Harry’s face that caused some alarm with the ones that he knew that were watching him, for once Harry wasn’t going to shy away from everything. He might have been thrust into a new world once again, and his lineage might give him some of the fame that he had from being the Boy-Who-Lived, he would also be going into it with no one expecting him to be his parents.

For once in his life Harry was going to embrace his more “Slytherin” side and use it to his advantage. He would be the best submissive he could to his circle, and when the time came he would be the best Queen that he could be to Raspen.

”I know what that look means,” Hermione said from her spot near Harry. She had been sticking close to him since he woke up, and had gotten the run down on everything that he needed to know as Ethan and Alec were explaining things. “Does this mean that you are done pretending?”

Harry looked at her shocked. “Don’t give me that look Harry James,” Hermione scolded. “I’m your best friend, and I can tell when you are hiding something. And you’ve been hiding how smart you are for years. I also saw the look on your face when Ron talked about being sorted into Slytherin, and I know how sneaky you can be when you want to.”

Harry just launched himself at Hermione. She was right, she was his best friend, and to know that she saw through his masks when others couldn’t made him happier than he could say. Their hug however was interrupted by Harry being tackled by a large dog. It looked a lot like Sirius in his animagus form but was larger and the eyes were now red and the teeth were a lot sharper.

Lady Death returned to Harry’s side and commanded the dog to let him up, which it did immediately. “My child, I had to claim your Third as one of my hounds to stabilize his magic,” she said.

“What does that mean? Is he going to remain a dog?”

Lady Death chuckled.  “He will be able to return to his other form, do not fear. Hellhounds are one of my warriors, tasked with hunting wayward souls and defending Nevarah from the Fabrine. I have also removed some of the foreign magic around his mind to help him regain that which was lost faster.”

“Now with the help of your wonderful healer, we can remove the last bits of the soul seals lingering upon you as well,” Lady Death said, waving Quinn over. Quinn blushed at the compliment but hurried over to the immortal.

‘We will need you to step away from everyone for a moment Harry,’ Quinn wrote.

At Harry’s confused look as to why Quinn wrote it out, Ethan explained, “Quinn had an accident a few years ago that made it so that he can’t talk. He has cuffs which allow a metal connection to be created temporarily and there is a ritual that can be performed to make the mental connection permanent as well.”

Harry nodded and stepped away from Ethan, Alec and Hermione, while stating, “We’ll do that ritual at the first available opportunity.” He chose to ignore the stunned look on Quinn’s face. If Quinn was called by his soulscream, then that meant that their souls were matched and Harry would not fight Fate, at least not after officially meeting Lady Death.

Lady Death put her hand on Quinn and slowly nudged his magic as he began casting on Harry. Harry felt a soft pop with himself and suddenly he was drawn to the edges of the room where he met black eyes in a very pale face. For some reason he knew that this person hadn’t been called by his scream but belonged to him all the same.

At the same time many miles away a red headed woman awake from her trance, a familial bond snapping into place. It wasn’t what she had been trying to reach but maybe it could help her anyway. She woke her companion and they quickly readied themselves for travel to this new connection.

In another realm, a dragel hid a frown. It was too soon for his student to have inherited, yet he couldn’t help but be excited as well. He would gather what was needed and if the child hadn’t arrived in Nevarah in 12 Earth hours he would head to Earth to meet him.
