Around the silent halls of the school corridors. There was a purpled haired girl, limping across the halls as the red crimson blood dripped from a hand covering the lump that used to attach her arm.
Asahina Mafuyu: Special grade Curse User...no Former Jujutsu Sorcerer.
She was frantically on the verge of just going lights out right there and then, but..her witts, the will to move futher abiet weakly was clear as the blue summer day. The cold dark halls kept it's presence up until the girl reached a door, which she used the little power she had to slowly open the door and go inside.
There she finally saw the beautiful sun gleam it's light down on her as she closed the door behind, and slowly let herself fall into sitting position on the ground. She's gritting her teeth over the burning agony of the missing limb. Yet despite all of this blood loss.
She was still alive.
She was still awake
She was still thinking..
She looked down on the slight dust of the wooden floors of what seems to be a classroom, looking up to see the three chairs and...
The girl with long moonlight hair, staring into the window that radiated with light. Mafuyu looked at the moment, she thought she was hallucinating for a second. That death tolled, but no. Death was playing with her. She couldn't help but grin a bit, happy almost that she was real.
"You're late, K.." She sounded like she was unbothered with her near fatal injury. Mafuyu continued with what she was initiating.
"..to think I'd see you again, at my end."
"Is my Family..safe?" Mafuyu hestitated to ask that question. But she needed to know, for her own sake. Her family was more important than anything and K knew that well despite the family issues that arises recently.
'K' hummed in a high tone that seemingly was wavering. Was she crying? Mafuyu couldn't tell as she didn't show her face. Not like she wanted to now, that would only burden her heart more. But it was K's voice that confirmed her suspicion of she was crying, in which she definitely was.
"Every last one of them Yuki.."
She heard a quiet gulps and sniffles before K continued.
"The Curses..back at that alleyway, was that your doing as well..?"
Mafuyu actually had a slight shocked reaction, as she made sure that incident was near impossible to track back to herself. Not even K would get the hints..so the only way it would've happened was if someone..
"Yes." Mafuyu 'coldly' answered, now looking away to the wall to her right.
('Just let your mind away Mafuyu..no one is there to control you at this time')
"K, unlike most people, I'm the nice person, isn't that right?" At this rate, Mafuyu knew she would be spending these last moments exchanging information with K. So she felt slightly disappointed with this.
"So, those 2 students were sent by you, assuming that I would beat the special grade curse, to send Momoi and Tenma?" She didn't even let K reply to the question stated and just went on with her talk, times running out after all.
K turned around to face Mafuyu finally. Those glowing sky blue eyes in the crying girl's face, the tears that was slowly falling down from them. Mafuyu at that moment truely felt the sorrow she should've felt when she made her choice. Her choice to be a sorcerer. Now with Mafuyu herself holding back sadness just from looking at K's silent cries, just trying to talk to the dying girl which was the purple haired bleeding heavily on the ground.
"I just— i just trusted that someone like you, who wouldn't actually have the will to end someone like them without a reason.." K stated that fact as she hestitates to walk closer.
"Trust.." Mafuyu looked K at the eyes, locked on like it was the first time they ever meet, like this was all brand new to them. Mafuyu waivered a bit as she let escape her emotions and frowned looking at K.
"I never thought I still had some of that left..Ghk–" Mafuyu coughed rather aggressively as small driplets of blood splatted onto the ground as she coughed. She looked at the blood before looking back at K, who was tighting her shaking hands. K finally proceeded to approach the dying girl slowly, the tears on her face slowing down as she went closer to Mafuyu.
"Do you have any last words?" K asked in the simplest way possible, just straight to the point.
Mafuyu, in return, simply chuckled for a bit. As she's well aware K would ask this to anyone she knows will be leaving away to the world above, Shiraishi was asked this same question too, if she could recall. Though, Mafuyu did have some words in mind to tell K, so she let herself answer the request with her train of thought.
"..To be honest."
"I still hate this world."
"But.."
"I never held any negative feelings for the people in this school."
"Simply put, I just..CAN'T keep up a 'smile' in this cruel world...I can't..I can't. Everything hurts..."
*Mafuyu held tighter onto her injury as she simply just started letting the tears out, the mask finally unravelled completely as she looked up at the ceiling with regrets, endless regrets that flowed through her mind. She could barely keep herself awake from the sheer pain she's having both physically and mentally.*
"Mafuyu." K called out, now sitting in front of the Purple haired sorcerer. Mafuyu in return immediately had attention onto the girl, as she rarely called her by her actual name unless curtain scenarios come. Though, this is a scenario itself so Mafuyu wasn't too shocked about it now. K placed a hand near Mafuyu's face as she began to gently move the bangs for a more cleaner look, and so she can see Mafuyu's face more clearly. Despite the waterworks both of them fell into, K couldn't help but smile softy to comfort Mafuyu, saying the following.
"It never was your fault, for hurting me. Right?"
"I forgive you."
That was all Mafuyu wanted to hear, she stopped holding onto the leaking blood that came out and placed her hand forward, implying a hug that Kanade well returned. Mafuyu, still crying, rested her head onto K's shoulder as she began to close her eyes. So this is death..it decided that's enough. Mafuyu let out a faint chuckle into K's ear before stating one last thing.
"..at least be more happy for me, Kanade."
Happy? Yes, that what Mafuyu wants for Kanade after all. All this time, it was this girl that tried to pull her out from despair, from the thhings that driven her insane. But now? Now, it's time Kanade learned how to be happy by herself, without her...
The subtle sound of Mafuyu's arm hitting the ground could be heard, as her breathing gets fainter and fainter until it's no longer there. The silence fills the room, Kanade hugged tighter for a moment before letting go and standing up. Looking at the person she loved being around dearly in the past, now deceased due to the path she took for 'eternal happiness'. How stupid of her..
Kanade trembles again, she really is alone in this world now, right?
She turned around and walked towards the window, such a beautiful summer sky today. A perfect time to laze around, make music, sing together. But now? It's a time of sorrow. Everything that accumulated to this is now complete, what else could Kanade do otherwise?
Only time could tell.
