Prologue
In the rubble of once, a cosy cottage lies the body of but a small infant not even 18 months old. All you could hear was the wails of the baby from the moment the place was broken to now as a tall, slender man carefully manoeuvred his way around the debris. Delicately floating through the rubble of the once warm home the slender man makes his way to the sauce of the tormented cries to calm the child. “Hush now little one, all will be right soon enough.” the man said though none was around but the wailing infant. He turns to his left to see the shadows of people he knows not but figures them to be the child's parents.
“Do not worry for him, he shall speak to you soon enough, but first we must make sure he is found and soon.” The man tells the shadows as he flicks his hand in an absent-minded thought. The two shadows look at one another and ask at the same time “What do you mean Lord Death? How can our child speak to us if we are dead?”
The tall, slender man now known as Lord Death chuckles lowly before saying “You will know when the time is right. But now you may rest. You will see to him in a few years I imagine.” before either parent could say anything else they faded from view to all not even Lord Death could see them now unless called for. “Now for you young one, come we will make sure you are found.” but before anything could happen in a flash of light and a quiet pop an aged grandfatherly-looking man appeared at the entrance to the ruins.
“Seems like someone is taking fate into their own hands tonight, Sister Fate won’t like that” Lord Death commented before he placed the small infant, who stopped wailing when he was picked up during the small talk between the dead and a God, down on the layered blankets of his cradle that had yet to be moved so was safe from falling debris. “Do not worry little one you shall see me very soon, no need to fret now.” Lord Death said as the child started wailing again at being away from the comforting aura of the man.
As the stairs creaked under the pressure of feet on them Death took one last look at the child before vanishing so as if no one had ever been there. For if he knew who this man was correctly Sister Fate was playing a game she should not be or this man was no longer under the influences of the 5 ruling Gods of his kind.
This new man took one look at the child wailing for his new friend and parents then sneered. “I will never understand the appeal of having children,” he muttered to himself as he picked up the child and tried to silence him to no avail. Fed up with the noise the grandfatherly-looking man silenced the babe with a wave of his wand that he took from his pocket.
With one final look around the wreckage, this old man turned and disappeared with the child in his arms.
Not long after the man disappears he appears again in a new place in Surrey, England. He walks up to a very normal 2-story house and rings the bell. While waiting for someone to get the door another person appears by his side. “Albus i don't think you should leave him here. Seen what they are like, and it's not good i tell you.” the new voice says.
“Now Minerva i understand that you worry for this…child, but he shall be fine they are his family after all.” the newly named Albus says to his companion Minerva. Minerva looks uncertain after looking at these muggles all day but if Albus says he shall be fine then he shall be. “ Alright Albus but if i find that he has been mistreated when he comes through our hallowed hall it shall be your head i take. Understand.” Albus nods his head absent-mindedly as he is more interested as to why the door has yet to be opened.
“I’ll take my leave Albus but you better make sure he's inside before you leave.” Minerva says before she disappears with a quiet pop. With the door yet to open Albus puts the infant on the door step with a letter on the top explaining everything. And with that he also takes his leave. Ignoring the last thing that Minerva said.
By the time that the sun had rose on the new day the poor child was as cold as ice but thankfully still alive for the inhabitants of this house to take in the child and somewhat care for it.
Though after reading the letter they found with the babe they did not see any reason as to care for it more than necessary.
And so the tale of a progeny god starts…
