Euphemia Rosier was somewhat of an abnormal witch. She was a kind child of the Rosier family. She was a pretty little thing for the age of ten. Her best friends were Walburga and Lucretia Black. They were somewhat of an unlikely duo. Sun and Moon they were called.
"Merry meet Burga! Merry meet Lucy!" Euphemia cheerfully called out. Tonight her parents were hosting a coming of age ball for her sister, Eurydice, which meant that Walburga and Lucretia would be spending the night. The three girls were dressed in their best robes for tonight. Most likely their parents would have the house elves send them off to bed once the clock reached nine p.m.
"I missed you, Mia! I'm so happy to finally see you again." The girls all went into the party and had snacks. Soon after Euphemia's sister made her debut the old grandfather clock struck nine which meant that the girls were supposed to head up to bed. Einarr, Euphemia's house elf, gave the girls their pajamas and left them alone for the night. The girls weren't tired in the slightest and Euphemia came up with a way to pass time.
"How about a pillow fight?" Euphemia suggested.
"A pillow fight?" "That sounds fun!" Lucretia and Walburga said. Then the two of them started bickering.
"I don't want to do that. Isn't that what mudbloods do?" "Watch your language Burga!" "I am a daughter of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black! I will not stoop-" Before Walburga could finish her sentence a large fluffy pillow smacked her square in the face.
Euphemia grinned and said, "Will you stoop so low as to get me b-?" Walburga had thrown the pillow back, picked up another one and started to chase Euphemia with the pillow. When they looked at Lucretia she was fast asleep at the end of Euphemia's bed. They continued playing knowing that Lucretia could sleep through anything. For the next few hours Euphemia and Walburga threw and chased each other with pillows. After a while they fell onto Euphemia's bed exhausted.
Euphemia woke up from her dream a bit dazed. She remembered this. It was four years ago. Before she was sorted into Griffyndor and Walburga was sorted to Slytherin. Before she had confessed to Walburga that she had liked her more than she let on. This was before Walburga had looked at her and broke her heart when she said, "I could never love a Griffyndor."
