Hermione sat in the still softness of Christmas morning, the steam from her coffee rising in the crisp winter air. She heard soft footsteps padding her way and felt gentle hands wrap around her shoulders. She leaned back into Draco’s embrace, the warmth of the dawn sun cascading over her features.

“Happy Christmas darling.” he said, placing a small gift for her on the table, “I love you.”

As she listened to the sound of Crookshanks nibbling on his breakfast and felt her husband place a kiss to her head, she thought there could be no better Christmas than this.
