Chapter 8
Barty was feeling his best.
He loved his outfit and he loved London, it was so magical. He and Regulus were walking to the stage and he couldn't be more excited.
"Good luck out there Reggie"
he said smiling widely at his co singer.
"Of course Bar, like every time. You too. I have a feeling this concert will be amazing"
With that Regulus disappeared onto the stage with Barty close behind.
"Good evening London, are you ready for it "
they both said into their microphones in unison and once again the crowd went wild.
They both checked their microphones and guitars to make sure they are properly adjusted and ready for the show.
After everything was in its place the first song started.
"One, two, three"
Barty said into his microphone strumming on his guitar at every number.
"Wait is this the song with guitar?"
it was his last line before Regulus's part so he acted a bit confused and stepped next to Regulus, looking at him.
He smiled back at Barty and started singing.
"I met a guy in the summer and I left him in the spring, he argued with me about everything."
"He had an ego and a temper and a wandering eye"
he counted the points on his fingers
Regulus grinned at the public
"He said he's six foot two and I'm like dude nice try"
he sang that while looking at Barty
Barty was a bit surprised by this; they never really discuss their on stage performances because they experiment every time.
Barty looked playfully back at him
"But he was so much fun and he had such weird friends, and he would take us out to parties and the night would never end"
Once again he counted on his fingers
"Another song, another club, another bar, another dance"
When he came to the last point he made a fist and threw his hand in the air
"And when he said something wrong, he'd just fly me to France" he rolled his eyes
Regulus was now walking around the stage looking a bit like when he's on the phone with Barty and ranting about his last blind date or situationship.
"So I miss him some nights when I'm feeling depressed"
This line reminded Barty of the time after Regulus's breakup. He wouldn't leave the room and barely ate.
It took Barty months to get him back on track to being somewhat okay.
"Til I remember every time he made a pass on my friend"
this was also very true.
Regulus's ex boyfriend would often hit on Barty when he was alone with him.
The bastard obviously though he could get two boys at once but what he didn't know was that Barty and Regulus told each other everything so that didn't go on for more than two times and was one of the reasons Regulus finally decided to broke up with the guy.
"Do I love him? Do I hate him? I guess it's up and down, if I had to choose, I would say right now I wanna get him back."
Barty got kind of caught up in the lyrics of their song he almost for got it's his part now
This chorus was one of his favorite ones.
And that was purely because it voiced his hate towards Regulus's ex, to the bastard as a person and to how he treated Regulus.
Actually it was both of their hate, this was the first song they wrote after Regulus's breakup and they had a special connection to it, since Barty also had a similar experience a few years prior.
"I wanna get him back, i wanna make him really jealous, wanna make him feel bad"
Even tho it was a bit rude or even selfish this were their wished for their exes.
"Oh, I wanna get him back. 'Cause then again, I really miss him, and it makes me real sad"
One of the similarities they also shared was that they both wanted to go back with their ex sometimes.
For Barty it was when he was in a bad place, he always thought it was better to be in a abusive and unhealthy relationship than to be single; at least he wasn't alone.
Except he was most times. His boyfriend didn't even care enough to check on him.
"Oh, I want sweet revenge, and I want him again, i want to get him back, iwant to get him back, back, back"
For the last line Regulus joined him too, singing lat words with him.
It was Regulus's part, the last part
"I wanna key his car, i wanna make him lunch, I wanna break his heart"
Barty came closer to Regulus and made a half heart with his hand, Regulus added his half so it looked like the heart was first broken and then put back together
"And be the one to stitch it up, wanna kiss his face, with an uppercut"
" I wanna meet his mom, just to tell her her son sucks"
This last line was especially deep to both of them.
Neither of their exes though it was important for them to meet their parents so they were both in a year or so long relationship without meeting their boyfriend's parents.
It was weird they both had such a similar experiences with different guys but it was one more thing that brought them even closer.
