I knew it, I know you
" AND SHE KISSED YOU?", Sirius screamed though the phone.
"YES!", Lily returned his tone.
"ON THE MOUTH? LIKE WITH TONGUE?", he wasn't being serious...
"Give me Remus now.", Lily said with a straight face.
"NO, I WANNA KNOW -", he whined like a child.
"Give me that -", Remus grabbed the phone, "Hello? Yes, Lils? What happened?"
"She kissed me."
"Who did?", Remus wasn't being serious, either.
"OH FUCKING JESUS YOU ARE BOTH JUST - NO.", she couldn't believe herself for choosing those guys to hang out with.
"MARY? MARY MARY?", he finally got the point.
"YES!"
"OH GOD, YOU'RE KIDDING!", he was even in more shock that Lily was.
"No. I don't know. We just spoke for like two seconds, literally, in the elevator and then I got into the apartment and she knocked on my door and she just grabbed me fiercely and kissed me. It was... Nice. But no. She's an ass.", Lily tried to convince herself.
" Yeah, and Sirius is an astronaut. ", he had put her on speaker and Sirius's surprise was heard very Clearly really.
" What if I were? ", he was unbelievable.
" Shut your mouth we're talking here. ", Remus kissed him quickly.
" Guys, what do I do?"
"Go to her.", Sirius proposed.
"What? Really? Should I?", Lily had started to get nervous.
"Yes, you should like now.", Remus suggested.
"Bye.", she said, not giving much thought to it.
She hung up the phone and ran to her apartment without hesitation, without even thinking twice.
Mary answered the door immediately like she had been waiting all this time.
"I'm sorry I - what was that?", Lily asked, trying not to sound rude. Her heart was racing. She could feel her blood running in her veins. This was wrong.
"I - Lily, please. Can we forget about that?", the way she mouthed her name was so amazing, so full, so delicate. But, that wasn't the point. Lily was seriously expecting that reaction of her. She knew it.
"No. I'm sorry, really, but please what's wrong? You didn't even talk to me at Joe's and I tried in the elevator and still nothing. I thought you just didn't like me, but you proved me otherwise."
"Please.", her brown eyes had turned red and puffy and tired like she had been crying, "Can we let it go?", she whispered.
Lily blinked. Everybody makes mistakes, right? And it was okay, even if she hurt. It was okay.
She didn't know what to say or do. So, she just let it go.
"Yes, of course. I am sorry, I didn't want to pressure you.", she turned to leave without a second thought, when she added, "Please, talk to me from now on.", she pleaded and trapped herself in her house.
