Nervous

Lily's life was simply. Good. Nothing excited about it.
She was still young - had just finished college -, still had the same group of friends from middle school and still had that deep passion about life.
Her job was nothing too spacial. She worked at a bookstore right across her building.
The building, the apartment that used to be something she'd look forward to, until she captured her.
She also was nothing special - breathtaking in the most painful way.
She had curly, dark, medium hair, a chocolaty bronze skin and a smile so wide and alive, so perfect that made your whole day go well.
Expect, Lily's didn't.
"Why you aggressive towards her? She seems pretty kind and sweet to me.", Remus addressed, her very best friend since she was a kid.
Of course, he would think that the case was Lily being into her, but it wasn't that case at all.
She was her annoying, next - door (literally) neighbor and nothing more.
" Seriously? She doesn't seem very kind to me.", Lily said ironically.
"Oh, come on. You haven't even given her a chance. I'm going there.", he got up from her couch and headed towards her door.
"NO, WAIT!", she grabbed his wrist immediately as she was already regretting the fact that she brought her up.
"Lils, stop being like that. We're all going for a drink tonight why not invite her, as well?"
"Since when you became so sociable and friendly and all, dude?", she teased him. He really was the opposite of all those qualities. Remus was the dark kind of guy. The mysterious one. The quite one. The one that everybody fancied because he was different.
"True, very true, but still."
"Remus, no. I don't want to.", she didn't want to worry about her looking nice in order to impress her. She didn't want to get anxious about anything tonight.
"Too late.", he ran to Lily's door and immediately knocked on hers. Lily couldn't catch him even if she wanted to.
She closed the door to her apartment and sat against it.
WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT FOR HIM TO UNDERSTAND THAT?
She heard her opening the door and answering to him.
She probably would've put that grin of hers on her face, just to charm him a bit, just like she had charmed Lily.
"Yes, of course. I'd love to.", she raised her voice in enthusiasm.
"Great! We'll meet at Joe's?", Remus asked.
"Sure. I'll be there."
Lily cursed her insides. She didn't want her to be there. There was no reason to. She had enough friends to have fun with.
Remus opened the door and saw Tha anger growing in Lily's pupils, deepening the green around them.
"Relax. She'll meet us at Joe's. 9 o'clock.", Remus chuckled, proud of his accompliment.
"Well done.", Lily hissed angrily and slammed the door of her room, leaving him outside.
He had no business doing that. She was her neighbor.
Lily knew why she was so bothered by that.
She was 25 years old and still had no experience with girls in that particular field. James was her first, but that ended pretty soon.
Yes, maybe she wanted her, but that wasn't the point.
"HER NAME'S MARY JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION. MARY MACDONALD. SEE YOU AT 9!",Remus screamed like Lily was deaf.
Mary. Mary Macdonald. Wow.
It did suit her.
Now, all she had to do was just wait to find out the rest.
