i just like hanging out with you all the time

It was a cold january night, and the table right by the fire place in gryffindor tower had been claimed by a noisy group of 4th years who had been planning their game night for far too long.

It was meant to happen before christmas break but life got in the way and they had to wait the entire holiday before they could finally all get together to sit and gossip and play board games and card games (and drinking games but don't tell minnie)

Anyways, game night was in full bloom. They had played a very heated game of monopoly that ended when james caught sirius stealing money from the bank and remus (who was the banker) reacted by throwing the board off the table and threatening to end game night and his relationship if they didn't stop playing.

Everyone (with the exception of Lily) was slightly tipsy, thanks to the fire whiskey the marauders had stolen from hogsmead, and they were trying to choose the next game out of the mess of boxes and cards and plastic bits all over the floor.

Marlene sighed dramatically and threw herself onto an empty chair, “we could play truth or dare?” she suggested, smirking at remus.

“No.” He told her. Since they came back in september marlene had dedicated herself to finding out everyone's deepest darkest secrets, and was convinced that remus was hiding something. mind you she was convinced everyone was hiding things but it still put him on edge seeing as he did have a huge secret that he was hiding.

“What's got you convinced that we're all keeping big bad secrets locked up in the dark anyways” James asked the blonde.

She looked around the group as if she was searching for a spy or something ridiculous like that, “I found something out this summer.” she said, with a mischievous look on her face.

James was now invested, you would never guess but he loved a good bit of drama. “Come on then. Spill”

“I can't!” She said, “Not my secret to tell”

“Since when does that stop you?” Lily asked, rolling her eyes.

“Since i care about the person it's about.” she insisted.

“No! You dont get to play that card!” Peter exclaimed, “you care about remus and sirius but you told everyone they were dating the second you found out.”

“doesn't count, you all knew already.” she argued, glancing over at remus and sirius, she still couldn't believe she was the last person they told.

“ignore her,” mary said, “she doesn't know anything. she's lying.”

“i would never lie to you guys.” Marlene said, feigning offence.

“we could play chess?” pete suggested, he was the only one who hadn't abandoned the search for another game to play.

“2 player game, there's like…” marlene paused to count on her fingers, “si- no seven of us.”

“you can count that high!!” James mocked dramatically.

“shut it you.” she glared at him, “as if your any better at counting than me.”

“well i don't count on my fingers so…” he stuck his tongue out at her.

“Oh my god that's adorable!” Marlene whisper-screamed, pointing at remus who had somehow ended up with sirius asleep in his lap.

Remus snapped out of whatever daydream he'd been in and realised that he was absentmindedly playing with sirius’ hair.

He smiled to himself, at the start of their relationship sirius could barely even hold his hand without freaking out, knowing that he felt comfortable enough with him to fall asleep in his lap made him indescribably happy.

“I'm gonna take him to bed.” Remus said, moving slowly so sirius didn't wake up.

“I'm gonna get a girlfriend!” marlene announced to the group. “That's my new year revelation or whatever.”

“resolution.” lily corrected.

“like i said whatever, there's that slytherin girl, urmm, quidditch team, with the braids and there like curly at the ends, james do you know-”

the noise of the group faded into the background as remus got closer to their dorm room. The room felt cold after being next to the fire so long and sirius only had a t shirt on so he got one of his jumpers and tried to put it on his boyfriend without waking him up.

“moony?” sirius mumbled.

“go back to sleep love.” remus told him stroking his hair gently.

“i fell-” sirius yawned, it was probably the cutest thing remus had ever seen, “fell asleep.”

“yeah, c’mon sirius, your tired.” remus said putting an arm around the other boy and lying down in the bed.

“how'd you know.” sirius asked with a yawn.

“magic.” remus smiled,

“can't argue with that.” sirius muttered, cuddling closer to remus and falling back to sleep.
