the reunion
Remus immediately pulls him into a tight embrace.
"Fucking hell, Black," he huffs. "How'd you do it??"
" A magician never reveals his secrets." Sirius jokes with a wink.
"We need to get you inside. Get you food and actual clothes." Remus says, leading Sirius inside. What he forgot was, Grant was in the living room, watching the movie still.
"Episode IV??" Sirius questions.
"Go shower." Remus whispers, rubbing his hand on Sirius' back.
"Who's that?" Grant asks.
"An old.. friend. From Hogwarts."
"Right. And how'd he get here.?"
"I'll figure it out, love. Just watch the movie. Or better yet- go for a walk or something, yeah?" Remus sighs, leaning against the kitchen counter.
Grant, confused and a bit frustrated at the request, reluctantly gets up from the couch and goes outside without uttering a word.
Sirius had already been in the shower when Remus walked in and sat on the toilet.
"How'd you find my flat?" Remus asks.
"Address book." Sirius says as if it's obvious.
"Didn't know you knew what an address book was."
"Had to ask around."
"Ah. And why didn't you write me, then? Letting me know of your soon visit?"
"Well, I'm on the run. You living in a muggle town is making it much easier to do so, but I still can't just sit around to write you a detailed letter of how I escaped and the fact that I was on my way."
"Right."
"Who was he?"
"Who?"
"The one watching our movie, obviously."
Our movie. The words repeating in his head. He didn't think Sirius remembered.
"That's Grant. He's a friend."
"A friend?"
"A friend."
"Like how I'm an old 'friend', or..?"
"Damnit, Pads. Stop pressing the matter!"
"Bloody hell, mate. Fine."
Remus sighs and stands up.
"A jumper and trousers are on the bed along with pants and socks. I'll be in the kitchen fixing you something to eat." Remus says.
"Thanks, Moony."
