Chapter 2
Harry got up and implored him. “Professor, I didn’t know what that spell did but he’s bleeding a lot, we have to help him, should I get Madam Pom-”
He stopped seeing Snape’s face go ashen as he saw Malfoy’s state.
“Mister Potter. What spell was this?”
“I found it in a book, Sir. A textbook.”
Snape had moved to Draco, muttering something under his breath.
“Which textbook?”
“…a Potions textbook, Sir.”
Snape raised an eyebrow and started to wave his wand in intricate movements. Draco’s face pinched even with his eyes shut. Harry was instantly by his side, holding his hand and rubbing his head in an unconscious effort to soothe him. He didn’t notice he had done so until Snape cleared his throat pointedly.
Harry moved his hand, but Draco frowned slightly. Harry’s hand was back on his forehead in under a second.
“Should I conjure a bed-”
“Mister Potter, he needs to be moved to-”
They both fell silent. Harry huffed a chuckle.
“I guess, he should be moved. You are sure it won’t hurt him?”
Snape scoffed.
“I am quite sure.”
Snape raised his wand, Draco’s form rising with it.
Draco hissed and moaned in pain. Immediately, Snape’s hold on him vanished and Harry lifted Draco into his arms.
Now, Snape looked on in shock.
Harry was again soothing Draco. But no, that wasn’t all. He was softly whispering to Draco, nuzzling his hair and Draco was nuzzling right back.
Snape thought he was seeing things. Had someone slipped him a drop of Hallucinari?
Draco let out a content sigh and finally ceased moving, resting his head on Harry’s shoulder. Harry smiled.
Snape was now sure someone had slipped a teaspoonful of Hallucinari potion into his tea.
Harry declared he was taking Draco to the hospital wing and left Snape to fend off his stupor and walk slowly back to his rooms.
