Impromptu
Hufflepuff had stayed back at Hogwarts, this Christmas break while Slytherin had gona home to celebrate.
They were wrapped in a warm quilt, dozing, when they heard the tapping that could only be an owl.
Who was sending them a letter on Christmas eve?
Hufflepuff let the owl in and cuddled it to warmth before opening the envelope.
It was from Slytherin! And their family?
It was a bunch of letters from Slytherin’s family, inviting Hufflepuff to join them for Christmas since they were now part of the family.
But where was Slytherin’s letter?
It was the last letter; simple and elegant. It was beautiful and completely unlike Slytherin’s usual scrawl.
It wished Huff a merry Christmas and informed them of the gifts that would arrive on Christmas for them.
It wasn’t the beautiful letter Slytherin had confessed with but it was written to them with their nickname and Hufflepuff had the fuzzy knowing that they were loved.
